With a smile on his face, Mao looked over the new gem they had collected. he recognized it instantly as one they had already managed to obtain, but from that, he also knew just how powerful this gem once, with the power to send one of the mightiest dragons into the next state of it's evolution. If he never found a use for it himself, he would certainly be able to sell it for a pretty penny to fund his personal projects.
"Good work Karlak, Beldum, Ken." He waved a hand over his three knights as they bowed their heads, or growled and turned away in Karlak's case, bringing a light chuckle from Mao himself. "We'll be moving out of here now. The flooding these ruins have suffered will soon make it nearly impossible for us to use them as our home away from home. We shall make way for the debris once more, and attempt to find a new hunting ground."
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found Skull Fossil! This was the head-smashing you were talking about. Bring it to a Professor to watch it transform.
With the heavy rain still beating down, Mao had to thank whoever had made the outfit he now wore in the past, as it was incredibly good at keeping him dry. Rather expensive fabrics seemed to make it up and yet somehow they had all recieved waterproof treatment. Even with the humidity his helmet seemed to let him breathe easily and still keep his head warm.
"Whoever made this was a genius. Don't you think so Aedon?" The Beldum just looked at him confused, wondering what he was going on about, just rolling his single eye and floating ahead of his trainer, hovering over a nearby lake in search of a new set of ruins to explore. Without much worry he just hovered accross the water's surface, until BLAM! A stinging pain hit his underside, his single eye seeming to go haywire, like a glitchy level of a game, just fizzing in and out of existance before he jolted and broke the connection of whatever was attacking him, that red eye returning to him and scanning the water below him, glaring angrily as he spotted the Lotad who had used a mega drain on him, his red beedy eye locking onto his target and diving into the water, slamming the lotad hard with a take down and taking it into the water, shcoked the moment the stream hit him, finding the lake was going much faster than he realized, both him and the Lotad rushing through the water, bumping into the ground and eachother. The Beldum had no intention of letting the current be the victor of this battle however, using his take down to stick not just himself, but the lotad beneath him, in place, pushing it hard into the earth and glaring at it with his deep red eye.
And then. Boom.
With his nature power the Lotad fired out a hydro pump into the face of the beldum, sending it rocketing out of the surface of the lake only to be dragged back in as he was struck with another mega drain. Even with type resistance, this Lotad was proving to be quite the issue. Breaking the latest mega drain he dove back into the water, purposely letting the current carrying him until he could use the enviroment to his advantage, "grinning" as he found a rock to take advantage of, slamming it with his take down to have the current carry it with them, before slamming the rock into the lotad himself, grinning as he was sent crashing against the bed of the lake over and over again from the rock weighing him down.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found Relic Band! Who wants the predecessor of the Mega Bracelet... in rock form? ( Post a Mod Summons to exchange this for •25 )
With the Lotad who had annoyingly sapped his energy down and out, the beldum Aedon rose from the water, spinning rapidly in place so that the water could spray off of him in every direction, spotting his trainer in the distance and glad to see he hadn't been forgotten, waving his whole body left and right to be met with a wave of Mao's own hand, the trainer pointing up stream to direct the Beldum as to where they were going, the steel type giving a small motion to say he knew what was going on before flying over to catch up, soon surpassing the group and heading to the standing ruins they had spotted in the distance.
With his blue form ahead of the pack once more, it wasn't long before he came to the foot of the stairs leading up to the stone structure, a meditite meditating at the very top of the steps. The beldum wondered why he was sitting out in the rain but it hardly mattered, he had to go up there and make sure their path was secure. The moment he began to climb towards the entrance however, the meditite didn't seem to appreciate that, leaping up from his meditation and hurtling down the stairs, delivering a high jump kick to the head of the beldum, the steel type hurtling back down the stairs and bouncing off each of the steps, groaning as he finally reached the bottom and managed to get a hold of his levitation again, glaring at the meditite that was clerly stopping it's advances, Mao getting closer in the distance. Aedon needed to make sure this nuisance was gone by the time he got here.
The meditite slammed down the stairs with a high jump kick again, barrelling towards the beldum, but he was not to be caught off guard this time, dodging to the side and giving chuckly buzzes as he watched the meditite grab it's own leg in pain, slamming a take down upon it's head for good measure, expecting the fighter to go down, only to be met with a swift counter strike that sent him flying into the nearest pillar of the ruins, groaning as his dizzy eye rolled again, but shaking it off much quick this time, red eye staring down the meditite. The fighter seemed to believe he still needed an upper hand, placing his hands to his forehead, and using mind reader.
...It did not end well.
By the time Mao had gotten there the Meditite was a dribbling mess on the floor, unable to comprehend the computer like mind of the beldum and simply KOing himself from the strain it put on his own mind trying to comprehend it, leaving the Beldum to simply give a confused look of his eye to Mao, as if to say he had no clue what had happened either.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found Rare Bone! A bone that is extremely valuable for Pokémon archeology. It can be sold for a high price to shops.
