A young redheaded woman seethed visibly as she walked through the city, something that an occasional passerby noticed and made an effort to avoid. Vesta ignored them, to minor exasperation to the Lucario following her, as she focused on her mistake. She had gotten on the wrong train. She had planned to grab a train from Shui back to Iceburgh, but somehow, she had gotten wrong train and she had managed to go in nearly the opposite direction of where she wanted to go!
Her anger hitting a peak, Vesta growled and kicked a stone, not noticing the small rock bouncing off a wall and flying over her shoulder until Cobalt let out a yelp in pain. Concern immediately overrode her anger and she whirled her head around to see him holding his snout with his paws. It took a second for her to put two-and-two together, but as she did, guilt rode up, Vesta scratching her cheek nervously as she apologized. Cobalt was still wincing, but he held his paw up in an ‘it’s fine’ motion after checking himself for injuries.
Vesta sighed as she went back to walking, her anger, for the most part, abated. Her situation was made no more pleasant by the fact that the next train to her destination wasn’t due for a few hours. Vesta hated this entire situation... but there wasn’t much to be done, especially since her Salamence had caught something from Shui. Zwei was an option, but even with the wait, the train would be faster. She had no choice... she had to make the best of the situation she had.
Changing the direction of her path, she went through a PokéCenter, switching her party around with plans of training, before heading towards the edge of Bayonada at the ocean.

EVEN IF THE SKY WAS FALLING DOWN I KNOW THAT WE'LL BE
SAFE AND SOUND
Waking up to the warmth of the morning sun Ophelia found herself smiling brighter than usual. A breeze of sweet and salty water speckled winds breezed past the curtains of her hotel room window. It had been three weeks since she left home but she didn't find herself missing it any. The excitement and wanderlust that had built up inside of her was too great for that. On this morning the white haired female found herself once again in awe at the scenery of Bayonadaville. She only arrived at the beautiful town two days ago and she was already in love with it all, being tempted by it's seductions that she was warned about from her elder brothers. With a slight sigh as she soaked in bed for a few more moments Ophelia finally gathered the will to remove herself from it's hold. The hotel she stayed in was absolutely stunning and easy on her pockets, not that she needed it to be. Since arriving to Bayonada she found that her milk and honey sold faster than she could sell leaving her with the ability to splurge as she pleased. Shuffling around the room she began to shower and dress. Her attire for today would consist of a blue and white one piece swimsuit and over that a white sundress that hugged her appropriately, on her feet she slipped on a pair of white and blue flips flops, and to finish off her look she donned a straw hat to protect her eyes from the sun.
It didn't take long before the young female was out of the building and out on the town. She found herself wandering from shop to shop without a care in the world, her pokemon inside of their pokeballs for the moment. Her destination for the day was the beach for some fun and once she got there she would release the trio. As she moved through the town she stopped for a snack to eat, a small shop near the edge of the beach. Ophelia had been there yesterday and she knew exactly what she wanted. Walking into the shop she was greeted with a wonderful scent of warm baked goods."Hello! May I have a bag of your chocolate chip, peanut butter mix?"Her words grabbed the attention of the clerk who smiled sweetly at her. It didn't take long before she was handed a bag of the fresh cookies and out the door of the shop. The smell, the aroma of the delectable cookies sent Ophelia over the edge as she quickly grabbed one, she didn't care what she got as she plucked a peanut butter cookie from the bag and shoved it into her mouth. The warm cookie melted wonderfully on her tongue and her tasted buds awoke with a jolt. Moving through the crowd she found herself in ecstasy, not fully paying attention to where she was going as she let her feet pull her into the direction of the beaches. She knew once she got to where she needed to go she would let her pokemon go out and enjoy themselves. Ophelia also knew how happy Milly and Suga would be about that and giggled at how irate Fever would be, avoiding the water like it was death.
Before she knew it she was walking through the warm sands, feeling the mist of the water as she got closer to the ocean. If she knew how wonderful traveling like this would be she would have left home long ago.

For some reason or another, Vesta found herself at the beach. Beaches weren’t really her thing... the heat, sand getting everywhere, half-naked idiots... on the other hand, the temperature was decent enough, and the salty sea air was kind of nice. The beach even was empty, mostly; overall, Vesta couldn’t complain, not that she was one to do so to begin with, especially since she came with a specific goal in mind. Cobalt was still following her, but she had another blue Pokémon out: Network, her Metang.
Boots hitting the sand, Vesta looked around; no one was near aside from a white-haired woman and a black-haired man out in the distance. Good, then she could focus. “You sense anything nearby, Cobalt?” As the agent crossed her arms, her Lucario closed his eyes, cutting one sense to enhance another, the redhead tapping her foot almost impatiently as he did so, until he nodded mere seconds after she asked, pointing his paw towards the shore. “Good, thanks.” Motioning her fingers, she bid her Pokémon to follow as she headed closer to the beach.
Touching the wake of the waves, Vesta looked around for the aura that Cobalt had sensed, the Aura Pokémon helping by pointing out a purple-shelled Pokémon she didn’t recognize, at least beyond its typing. Wasting no time, she pointed at the Pokémon, getting its attention as she ordered, “Network, pick it up, then Psychic!”
...Nothing happened. Vesta blinked and looked back at her Metang. “Network?” she asked, a hint of annoyance on her voice, but a hint of concern as well. It wasn’t like him to ignore an order, but when she addressed him, the genderless-but-kind-of-male Pokémon looked at its trainer and replied, “Tang, Metang.” Vesta stared blankly at the Pokémon, then looked at Cobalt for a hint. She only got a look, but she knew him well enough to know what he didn’t say.
Before the redhead could address the Psychic-type again, the wild Pokémon suddenly shot out of the water, shell wide with the likely intent to clamp onto someone. Vesta, with her strong reflexes, immediately ducked and moved out of the way while Cobalt near-instantaneously stepped into a low stance, holding an Aura Sphere between his paws. Both of these movements proved to be unneeded, as the Shellder was levitating in front of them.
Uttering his species name, Network condensed rainbow psionic energy in two implosive bursts on the Water-type, flinging it away and back into the water. Cobalt and Vesta relaxed as the Shellder disappeared, the latter looking at Network. “...Good work, Network,” she said, making a mental note of Network’s apparent opinion on ambushing wild Pokémon.
Going back to walking, Vesta couldn’t help but simmer on Network’s actions. It didn’t take a genius to figure out that he wasn’t the type to hit someone when their back was turned, which was perfectly fine. If anything, it was a comfort; it meant that he was a very trustworthy Pokémon, and honestly, she could respect his wishes. Ambushing was as viable a tactic as any, but when it came to straight Pokémon battling, she preferred things to be a little more fair and even.
“Cobalt,” she said, looking back at her other Steel-type, “I think you can be relieved for now.” The Lucario nodded in response, allowing himself to be absorbed into his Luxury ball. Putting the ball away, she looked over her other shoulder at Network. “Come on, Network, I’m sure there are plenty of Pokémon that want to attack me.” It took a second, but the irony of her statement forced her to pause mid-step and blink. Never in her life had she even implied – including sarcastically – that she wanted to be attacked... but Vesta shrugged the strange feeling off. Somehow, it didn’t bother her as much as it would before, even considering her rather competent protection.
Moving on, spatially and mentally, Vesta and Network walked along the edge of the beach, keeping their eyes towards the water. It wasn’t until they neared an old wooden dock that they saw a Pokémon anywhere near them. The human recognized it quickly; she had one briefly, and its oddness managed to stick to her a little bit: Binacle. She couldn’t remember what type it was exactly, only remembering that it was a Water-type, but like the one she had, it was arguing with itself very passionately under the mossy, partially-rotten fishing dock.
That is, until it saw her and Network. Immediately, the Pokémon started hopping towards them – no longer yelling at each other – but Vesta only let out a slight huff from her nose in derision. She stepped back behind her Pokémon, making the Pokémon blink at her before turning back to the wild Pokémon, as the Water-type got closer and closer. Network made no move, staring blankly, studying the wild Pokémon. This seemed to only tick it off even more, and, yelling in unison, the Binacle jumped at Network.
Much like before, Network’s first instinct was to catch the wild Pokémon in mid-air. The wild Pokémon was confused for a moment, but it acted quickly, surprising both Vesta and Network by flinging mud clinging to its base into his face. The Steel-type wasn’t used to surprise and immediately dropped the Binacle while Vesta yelled, “Wipe it off, Network, it’s coming!”
Network quickly used his mental might to throw the mud off his face, his ability surmounting Mud-Slap’s accuracy lessening, just as the Binacle’s left head slashed the Metang with a water blade. The Iron Claw Pokémon reacted quickly, turning its claw inward into fists, throwing them forward in a one-two Bullet Punch, finishing with a forward thrust of Psychic, sending the Water-type flying back under the dock.
They both observed the wild Pokémon, waiting for movement, but when there was none, Vesta looked at her Pokémon with a bit of surprise. “Always expect tricks, Network. Expect the unexpected; you more than most should be prepared for anything. I’ve seen what your evolution can do, and there isn’t much you can’t counter.”
