APPEARANCE
Leah has the pretty face of someone who can easily slip into the background. The structure of her face is average, but it holds a certain beauty in the way it simply works. Her small nose, almond-shaped brown eyes, and petite face gives her a cutesy, girly look that is constantly at war with the bored and/or cold expressions on her face. Her eyes fluctuate between being narrowed in anger or lidded with boredom; her thin lips naturally tilt down and give her an almost sad-looking expression.
She tends to keep mostly to herself and her shy, unenthused nature makes her body stature appear rigid and unapproachable. She has wiry limbs with little curve or bust and she is above average height. Her wardrobe contains a lot of black clothing, though she does enjoy wearing cute dresses and sometimes strange, gothic outfits.
PERSONALITY
[li]Moody: When Leah finds herself around others, her moods can swing from highs and lows. Small annoyances can set her off and turn her into a cruel, unforgiving person. Granted, her moods tend to swing from "Annoyed" to "Frustrated" to "Murderous." [/li]
[li]Distant: Leah is not a socialite. She would much rather sit at home by herself and enjoy a nice book rather than go out adventuring with friends. She does, however, enjoy the outdoors, and is enthralled by the idea of one day traveling around the region with her Pokemon.[/li]
[li]Competitive: If it's one thing Leah can't stand, it's losing. While she does care about her Pokemon, she can and will disregard their limits in a battle in order to secure a victory. [/li]
[li]Malicious: Lee could care less about the general health and well-being of anyone but herself. She enjoys watching people and Pokemon suffer beneath her hand, as she claims she gets a sort of "high" from causing pain. [/li]
[li]Cruel: The only Pokemon she respects is Horus, but that has more to do with the fact that he is very similar to her in personality. She will go to great lengths to secure victories and to do so, practices rigorous training exercises that wear her Pokemon down to the bone.[/li]
[li]Observant: While Lee tries not to actively participate in the world around her, she finds she has a lovely opportunity to sit back and watch things unfold. Because of this skill, she is quick to figure people out and use what she learns about others to her advantage. [/li]
[li]Picky: Whether it's with food, clothes, or her Pokemon, Lee only wants the best. She has extremely high standards that can make her come off as snooty. Arcaeus forbid she has an "ugly" Pokemon on her team.[/li][/ul]
Ambitions: Leah could care little for titles or achievements. What drives her is power. What she wants to do is drink in the journey itself and crush as many people in battle as she can in her quest for power. It's simple, really.
HISTORY
She was born in Shui City and has lived there her entire life. Her family is rather mundane, though she doesn't really get along with them. She lives in a rather quaint estate with her immediate family: her mother, father, and nine year-old brother. Her grandmother very recently fell ill and moved in with the Alberns after becoming incapable of looking after herself. The small house feels even smaller now that the family has decided to support one more, which is pushing Leah to entertain the idea of leaving.
While her sleepy town is enough for most, Leah has grown increasingly frustrated with the constant calm and peace around her. She has very little reason to stay in Shui City, considering she is not one to yearn for attachments and friendships.
Ronan was her first Pokemon, gifted to her by her mother. The Pokemon had never once been in a battle, which Leah quickly sought to change. In her fifth year, she challenged Allen Donahue, the boy who had pestered (bullied would be a more fitting word, although she would never admit it) her for the better part of the year. After having neglected Ronan for a few months since receiving him, instead leaving him back at the house with her mother, she ordered the Vulpix to attack Allen's Koffing.
The Vulpix, with his gentle nature, grew frightened and attempted to hide behind Leah's back. Over the course of the years, Leah has continued to neglect Ronan due to his stubborn gentleness that she can't seem to shake out of him. The only good he's done her, she swears, is that he helped her catch Horus.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE
RP Sample: Leah sits idly at her desk and listens to Horus chitter at the window. Her arm is a makeshift pillow and while being hunched over in a wooden chair at a table that is now too small for her (after all, she's had it since she was nine), there is something satisfying about the sleepy lull being slumped over induces. Horus's talons click and grate against her windowsill as he hops alongside the glass.
She turns her head to the side with a frown, neck twinging. With her free hand, she taps her fingertips against the surface of the wooden table. Horus stops his erratic dance by the glass and cocks his head to the source of the noise. "Krow?" he croaks and stretches his wings. His body shivers through the air on tight wing beats, as the bird is careful not to knock anything over in the small room. He skitters onto the desk and pecks at her fingers, successfully grabbing one in his mouth and slackening his grasp so he can nibble on the appendage. It hurts, but Leah just gives the Pokemon a small smile and wiggles her finger free so she can tap on the desk again.
"Lee, honey, dinner's ready. Please bring Nana down with you."
Leah ignores her mother for a moment, transfixed by the blood Horus has accidentally produced on one of her fingers. The Murkrow loses interest eventually and scampers back off of the desk.
