It had been some time since Rachel had come by the strange place where Teleport always seemed to go awry; she’d been kept busy due to the fact that there were several rather interesting occurrences that had taken place after her last exploration trip had come to a close. For now, she was accompanied by Aira, her Ralts—who was currently perched in her default position at the point where her owner’s ponytail began. The stage actress didn’t have anything else to do to keep herself busy (as the theatrical district was still in the process of completion) so she made it a point to get to a trip this bright spring morning. Looking around the tent city, she saw that there were several early risers who were milling around their tents; but most of them were headed off to where a bonfire area had been pitched; the better to be able to cook breakfast so that they could get started on the day’s work. She continued to cut through the paths that the inhabitants of the tent city had pretty much established throughout their stay; and before long, she found herself at one of the entrances facing a yawning maw that stretched into inky blackness; even if the sun was slowly rising behind her. “Alright, time to work hard,” she chuckled to herself, before plunging into the unknown. As Rachel continued to walk down the singular, long corridor that she’d taken in order to be able to start exploring the entire place, she then caught sight of several doors that seemingly snaked off into who-knew-where. Sighing, as she knew that she couldn’t exactly rely on her Aira’s Teleport within this unusual space, she then scanned the floor before taking a sharp turn and entering the first arched entryway that had caught her interest. “Hmm… bit dark in here…” she muttered to herself, quickly searching her pockets for a flash light. Several moments later, there was a source of light pouring out of her hands, and she cupped the light in an attempt to extend the light beam. Unfortunately, though, it did just the opposite—so she left the flash light’s beam alone and walked ever so slowly into the room that she’d stumbled into. It was dark, but thankfully the light offered some insight into the place she’d stumbled upon—and as her beam of light swung up, she caught sight of something that very nearly made her scream. Why was there a huge-ass bug in the room?! “WHAT THE HELL?!” she shrieked, before quickly walking into the room and then stopping a few feet from where she’d seen the huge horn leering over her. Once her eyes had adjusted to the darkness, she then saw that it was a statue of what appeared to be a bug… that was… flexing its muscles?! “Weird…” she muttered to herself a few moments later, before catching sight of something sparkling in one of its fists. “Shiny!” she shouted, quickly plucking out the marble from the seemingly balled-up fist and rolling it over and over between her fingers, trying to figure out what it could do.
