As she looked around, wondering just what the hell could possibly happen—she thought she heard a loud, very distinct clicking noise echoing throughout the silence that followed not too long after she’d snatched her prize. “Oh, you have got to be joking…” she began, smacking a palm to her forehead as she then looked down at the Ralts who was riding in her arms, waving and flailing at something that was headed their way.
“Ralts! Raaa ralts! Raaaah!” she heard her companion warble out, and the purple-haired stage actress looked up in time to see that the room was shaking rather madly. “Yikes. Anyway… get us out of here, girl! Go!” she urged with a rather panicky edge in her voice, before quickly backing away as the ceiling started to quake and rumble.
“RaaaaaaAAAALTS!” she heard the small humanoid ‘mon cry out, and she then felt a tingly sensation spreading from her fingers, going all the way up to her head—and down to her very toes as well—before the Ralts had used Teleport, popping them out of the room that was now rumbling rather badly. The two didn’t know (or cared) what happened to the room that they’d been in; all they knew was that they had to get out of there as fast as possible in order to avoid certain death by cave-in!

Once human and Pokémon had vanished from the room that they’d appeared in (that eventually imploded several moments later) Rachel had no idea as to where they would end up appearing. She was slightly alarmed at the rate of how her companion’s Teleport was working—or malfunctioning; because she knew that the Teleport move itself always had the user (and its companion, in her case) appear on solid ground. What she was not expecting, however, was the fact that the Ruins was wreaking havoc with any and all Psychic-type abilities (and Aura-based powers, but she didn’t have that one) that were activated within its boundaries…
The moment she felt a tingling sensation spread through her body, she had a few moments notice before she suddenly appeared—and had to flail in order to stay above the water! “WHOA!” she shrieked, before looking down and seeing that her Ralts companion was panicking—because it had materialized underwater! She then quickly moved in order to bring up her small companion, before perching her right atop her head, and then gasping out, “Hang on tight! We have to swim for it! Don’t let go of my ponytail, you hear me?!” before her arms and legs quickly went into motion, kicking and flailing as fast as she could manage—the underwater current was so strong, it was threatening to sweep her away!
Gah, what the hell?! I thought we’d appear in a place that had dry land?! But what’s this?! She thought to herself as her arms began to move, quickly slicing through the frigid water, the better to keep her own head above the churning current (and her Ralts dry)!

Now that Rachel was travelling through the current as best as she could manage (with her Ralts hanging on for dear life atop her head) she could see the…severity of the situation that they were in. “H-how did we end up here?!” she began, fighting to keep her head above the water as her arms and legs did the flailing and kicking beneath the water’s surface, the better to keep up above the surface and to avoid getting sucked down into the current underneath.
“Is there something w-wrong with your Teleport, girl?!” she asked several moments later, to which she heard an adamant-sounding “Raaaaa. Ralts, RALTS?! Ralts!” in response; before picking up on an annoyed twitch coming from the passenger atop her head. “Well, your reaction says it all… it’s not your fault… but w-why is the w-water s-so cold…” she muttered, feeling her own teeth chatter and shiver as she continued to kick through the currents; doing her very best to not get sucked down underneath. It was slow going, but eventually the odd travelling couple had managed to reach a part of the “underground river” that wasn’t too wild.
“Ugh, now for the hard part: looking for a place to hop back on to dry land…” she groaned, as she then switched from the panicked flurrying movement to a calmer breast stroke underwater, watching a bone float by. “Oh, merde. I think we disturbed the graves…” she hissed as she skirted past the bone.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found a RELIC STATUE! A stone figure made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

The more Rachel struggled through the current, the milder the underground river’s flow became—who knew that they’d been literally warped to the “tempest in a teapot” back there? “Raaaa? Ralts?!” she heard her companion astride her hair point out—and the two turned to look and watch as something that looked… ancient floated by them. “Well, definitely not… I know what those are, and they’re not what we need,” she began, continuing to kick and flail as the water continued to flow through the place, though at a more sedate pace as compared to earlier.
This is starting to look rather bad. We need to find something, and fast… otherwise this trip is all for nothing… she thought to herself as she then continued to flop and struggle through the water—until her companion finally caught sight of something they were looking for; dry land! “Raaa! Ralts, raaaa! RALTS!” she heard the humanoid ‘mon warble out from atop her head, and she came to a stop, treading water. “What is it?” she began, before hearing the adamant-sounding cries echoing out again. “Oh…?” she trailed off, looking around—and seeing a far bank!
“LAND!” she shouted, before quickly swimming as fast as she could towards it, splashing water everywhere. “Hang on tight, Aira!” she said without thinking—and right then and there she’d given her female Ralts a name without realizing it! “Raaaaaalts!” she heard her companion squeal as the water was definitely splashing all over her at that point.

Now that the stage actress had sighted the far bank, she was swimming towards it as fast as she could manage! The Ralts was hanging on for dear life as her owner continued to kick up a lot of water, splashing her without meaning to. “Sorry, Aira! I’m just so excited to finally see land after all this time,” she began with a chuckle as she then propelled her legs to kick even faster—and her arms were now cutting through the water at an incredible clip. It had taken them the better part of fifteen minutes to finally arrive a the far bank; but the moment they were back on dry land, the Ralts who was riding astride her hair let out a victory cry.
“I know, Aira. I know. Now I have to get all of my clothes dry,” she continued with a genial chuckle, before quickly stripping down her clothing as fast as she could manage and squeezing them out as best as she could. She knew that there was nobody else around in this part of the Ruins—and besides, if there was anything incoming, she’d be able to pick up on their emotions right away…
Once she’d sat herself down and had finished wringing out her shirt before tossing it onto a rock to let it dry, her companion Ralts was now stumbling along the shore, looking for something to do. It didn’t take too long before the Pokemon had found something; and since it was sparkling rather curiously, had decided to bring it back to where her (nearly naked) owner was now located, trying to wring all the water out of her hair. “Raaaa. Ralts, raa! Ralts!” she heard, looking up and watching as the humanoid ‘mon had rolled something her way—it was a marble!
Quickly noting that the colors weren’t the same as anything she’d encountered so far, she then chuckled, before quickly petting the Ralts as best as she could, soaked condition aside. “Nice find, Aira. Now… let’s wait here for my clothes to dry. Can’t necessarily prance around the place in nothing but my underwear, can I,” she remarked, before gesturing to where her clothes were now spread out over several large boulders, in order to dry.
