After managing to score an incredible piece of treasure, Rachel then felt the room rumbling rather ominously. “Oh, merde!” she had time to shout out before quickly plucking out the containment unit that held her Braviary out and sending Sky out in a flash of red light. As soon as the Brav was tangible and solid, she then whistled, before the avian hovered lower and allowed her to get on his back. “Let’s get the hell out of here, fast! That shaking usually means nothing good!” she shouted, and the avian then gave a perfunctory wing flap, before taking off at the fastest possible speed that he could manage without the Tailwind boosting him. The rumbling got louder the closer they got to the door; and the two had barely cleared the entrance when the entire room suddenly imploded on itself, sending out bits and pieces of rubble! “Go, go!” she called out from her current position astride the Brav’s back; and at her encouraging, the avian flew much faster, soaring through the corridor and then coming to a stop once they’d reached a crossroads. “Where to go, where to go…” she mused, seeing that the current corridor branched out into three options; before letting her instincts decide for them at the very last second. “Go there!” she shouted, pointing at the corridor on the left, and with some urging, the human and the avian literally flew through the place, Rachel looking around as quickly as her fleeting field of vision would allow; because she knew that once Sky had permission to go all-out, there was no stopping him. “Alright, stop here!” she continued, pointing to an opening; and the Braviary overshot, causing her to tumble off once he’d managed to put the brakes on his crazy flight pattern. Once Rachel had taken the rather unceremonious tumble from her Braviary’s back, who then let out a squawk of apology in her direction (complete with sheepish, embarrassed twinges coming from the avian’s direction) she then pulled herself up and patted off as much grit and dust that had stuck to her clothes. “Who knew if I told you to just let loose, you’d fly around so fast it’s scary?” she began, chuckling with a sheepish grin in the Braviary’s direction before giving it a pat on the head and rumpling some of his feathers. “Alright, time to poke around the room and see what we got,” she continued, searching her pockets and finding one of the several flash lights she’d remembered to bring along for the trip. After clicking the contraption open in her hands and watching the beam of light pour out from one end, she then stepped into the room that they’d recently overshot by several feet; and wiggled the beam around, trying to spot something that looked nice and interesting. Initially, she saw nothing but the moldy walls and ceiling; but upon walking further into the room, avian silently gliding behind her, the two then caught sight of a statue in the middle of the room. “Oh. Oh boy,” she remarked, looking and making sure to scrutinize the thing as thoroughly as she could; because this statue looked… outright intimidating, if not to mention absolutely terrifying. “What’s up with these statues looking like distortions of…” she muttered to herself, while the Brav gave a curious-sounding squawk as he watched his caretaker slowly hop up to the dais and attempted to extract the weird, glimmering rock that was trapped in one of the statue’s weird-ass ‘fists’ (if one could call it that). Once she’d managed to secure the marble, she then gave Sky a knowing look; before quickly perking up her ears, listening for the distinct sound of anything triggered… Claiming this weird rock.
