[PTab=APPEARANCE]
[attr="class","cafappscra"]At first glance, Kou looks like your average college student. He's one of those types that blends into the crowd and doesn't stand out. He has a head full of messy, jet black hair that is unkempt and fly-away most of the time. Despite many people telling him to brush it, and no matter how many times he has claimed he tries, Kou's hair always looks like he just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Many people have commented how Kou looks like a stereotypical college boy. His gray eyes are large and innocent and hide behind large framed glasses. Most of his college friends comment how his glasses look like they came out of an anime. But despite the fact they are larger than normal, they fit his features well.
Kou is a tall and slim built person, standing at around 6'2 feet. However, don't let his looks fool you. Underneath his unkempt appearance, Kou is very skilled in hand-to-hand combat. He may look weak, but he could easily hold his own against someone who was obviously stronger. But, Kou fights in a way one wouldn't expect. He's a very agile and flexible person, able to quickly side step away or duck before he could get hit.
His casual attire is nothing special either. Kou usually wears the college's sweatshirt or a old teeshirt from home. He doesn't keep up to date with fashion and most of his clothes can be seen as out style or old. However, Kou doesn't really mind. If it fits, then why change it? He isn't one of those people that have to stay up to date with the latest fashion.
At night when Kou takes on the alias Phantom, his appearance changes drastically. He takes out his colored contacts to reveal his crimson colored eyes and switches to his perscription contacts instead. Underneath the shaggy black hair and nerdy appearance is a deadly assassin for hire. When he's out on a job, Kou wears a large black cape over a black and white suit. During this time, Kou brushes down his hair, places on his red gloves and gets himself ready for his night job.

[PTab=PERSONALITY]
[attr="class","cafappscra"]'Don't just a book by it's cover.' One of Kou's favorite quotes. He feels as though it fits him the best.
During the day, Kou has a overall gentlemen like personality. He is very polite to others and seems to have everyone's best interest in mind. Most of the students in his class, and even some of the professors, speak quite highly of him. He lends his notes to basically anyone and everyone that needs them. Even though Kou is not the most intelligent students, his notes are some of the best and easiest to understand. They are neat and organized, not to mention extremely well written with the neatest hand writing. Girls and guys alike are quite jealous of his handwriting.
Kou is also someone who has a little obsession with organization. 'A place for everything and everything in it's place.' Many people call him a neat freak. His room on campus is extremely tidy and there isn't a dust particle to be seen. His books are nearly stacked on a shelf, the floor is clean and his bed is always made up. Even his minifridge is organized in some way or form. There are times where Kou can spaz out and go into clean everything mood. A lot of people avoid taking in any sort of colored drink into his room.
He is also well known for being slightly clumsy or air headed. Kou is known for dozing off in class or blatantly not paying attention to the professor. However, somehow the boy gets by in the class by an A or sometimes an A+, even though it appears like he doesn't pay attention at all. There's also been many times where Kou has literally tripped into class, then proceeded to spend the next 15 minutes reorganizing his papers and folders.
But despite his small quirks, Kou has a decent amount of friends. Most of them will say that Kou is quite reliable. He will show up to an event if asked and help out a friend in need. However, that's just the beginning of things. That is half the truth. Even though Kou does do a handful of favors for people around campus, he will always ask for something in return. However, it's in a very subtle and innocent way. Kou is quite deceiving and knows how to play his cards right. Whenever he does something for someone, he always expects something in return. Whether it is money, an IOU or something of the sorts. He keeps tabs of all the IOU's in his head and expect him to use it some day. Even if it's something small, like copying notes or paying for lunch, Kou always gets something out of his 'kindness'.
However, underneath his college student persona is a very different person. He is a deceiving assassin who shows almost no mercy to his target. His demeanor and intentions can change with a snap of a finger.
The kind and honest Kou is nothing but a lie and a persona that Kou has made to keep his identity a secret. In truth, Kou is a rogue for hire assassin while balancing his college student life on top of the dangerous job. He can switch personalities in a snap of a finger and go from smiling kindly to having the intent to kill you in a matter of seconds.
Kou is a deceiving and cunning person underneath his college personality. He can manipulate most of the people in the college to a certain degree. Whether it's doing homework for him or covering his tracks when he gets back from work. None of his so called friends have any idea what sort of person Kou really is, and he intends to keep it that way. He doesn't want to disrupt either life that he created, as it would cause chaos and make his life extremely difficult. If need be, Kou would drop his rogue days for a peaceful life. Of course, he wouldn't drop it completely. Just stay on the down low for a while before coming up with a complete new alias.
The pay for the jobs, or rather requests, he gets is well worth the effort in Kou's eyes. He's in it for the money, the shits and giggles is a bonus to him. To him, it is easy money to get. Whether it's a bounty or a personal request from someone. People will pay big bucks for a hit man who can get in and out without leaving a trace, which is what Kou does best. He specializes in Ghost and Psychic Pokemon, who help him greatly in his requests. More likely than not, Kou will decline someone's request if the pay isn't good enough. There have been times where Kou accepted a low pay request, but only because he thought it was worth his time. If it entertains him in some way, he'll most likely take it. But he'll look at the reward first before deciding anything.
He loves poking at people's nerves and seeing just how far he can push their buttons. There's nothing more amusing to Kou than someone losing their cool and lashing out. Sometimes, this trait of his shows up during college time. Kou will poke and tease at someone just to get a reaction out of them, sometimes going a little too far. And if they weren't from his home city or area, Kou wouldn't really care what they thought. But most of the time, he apologizes and says he was joking.
When he isn't in Wizen or near his home county, Kou tends to show his true colors to others, while also upholding his kind and gentle personality. It isn't often that he's seen out of Wizen, however, so he takes advantage of any opportunities he can get. It gets boring playing the goody two shoes sometimes.
Ambitions: Kou's first answer to the question 'What's your dream?' would be 'To finish community college and figure out what I want to do with my life.' However, he is leaning towards a place in the medical field. Maybe even Psychology to get deeper into the human mind. However, his true intentions are far from helping people. Instead, he wants to make the world his playground and he wants to be king. To be kept entertained is Kou's true intention.

[PTab=HISTORY]
[attr="class","cafappscra"]
There is no tragic backstory or unfortunate event that lead Kou down the path of assassination. If anything, Kou probably wouldn't mind a story like that. It would have made 18 years of his life more interesting.
Kou's early childhood was nothing special to him. He was an only child, born to two very busy people. And in a town like Tynntill, there was not much for Kou to do. Soon after he was born, Kou was taken care of by his mother's sister. However, even then, he was home alone for most of the day. His aunt worked at the local pharmacy, which ate up most of her hours.
Before he was allowed to go to elementary school, Kou would spend his days talking to a Misdreavus, who apparently haunted the house he lived in. On the rare occasion that his parents came home, the Ghost type disappeared from view. When his parents asked who he was talking to, he'd tell them he was talking to a Ghost. Because Kou didn't know the ghost was actually a Pokemon, his parents became concerned with his behavior over the course of a few years.
Once he was enrolled in the elementary school, the Misdreavus followed him to the school and even walked him back home. At this point, Kou felt as though the Misdreavus was more of a family member than his blood related relatives. As time passed and Kou got through elementary school, the Misdreavus now regularly showed herself around the house. The day his aunt came home and screamed in horror because there was a Ghost playfully pulling on his hair was a day he'll never forget.
From then on, Kou's life was pretty ordinary. He was bored out of his mind, however. In middle school, Kou passed each class with flying colors and even skipped 8th grade, going straight into high school after that. And in high school was when Kou found it was ridiculously easy to deceive people.
He found it rather amusing that he could get teachers and students wrapped around his finger. Even though Kou was no star athlete, his teachers always held him in high regards because of his grades. With the students, well that was the easy part. For Kou, he always sat next to the gossip girls in class. Because he knew he could do his homework easily, he spent most of the class time listening to them. And at this point, he started to wonder, what could he do with this information?
Kou learned that people were always so easy to trick and were too trusting. As an experiment, he spread around a false rumor. He talked to the right people and said it so uncertainly that he was almost sure the rumor wouldn't spread, but it did. Soon enough, students reputations began to drop and others began to rise, it really depended on what Kou felt like doing at this time. He felt like high school was the perfect entertainment. Humans were so easily fooled, it was almost unbelievable. But, he knew it couldn't last for long, and didn't keep up the act. Eventually, someone would figure it out and ruin his fun. And if he was known for spreading rumors, then people wouldn't trust him anymore. From here on out, he learned how to balance being the innocent by stander and the starter of the fire.
Years passed, and Kou enjoyed running his little rumor playground. He had some people wrapped around his finger because he had information from 'other people' to give out. However, his fun ended when graduation came around. He was a year younger than most of the students and didn't really have many plans. Instead, Kou lost his playground and opted to go to a community college in Wizen City, leaving behind his parents, aunt and past.
After only one year in community college, Kou's life changed. One night after his last class, Kou and his Misdreavus were heading home to the dorms. The Misdreavus, who was now named Morgana and had her own Pokeball, paused in the air and turned her head towards the sounds of someone screaming. Kou, who was somewhat intrigued, looked behind him to see what was going on. Kou had known about the various muggings around campus, but paid no mind to it. However, tonight, he probably should have.
Soon enough, a woman came rushing through, followed a group of thieves from Clearwater. They flew past Kou and Morgana, chasing the woman. At this point, Kou was debating whether or not to help, but decided against it. However, before he and Morgana could flee, they switched their focus to him and cornered Kou.
The fight ensued and Kou was somehow caught in the middle of a mugging gone wrong. Morgana managed to ward off two of the thugs, leaving Kou on a one on one with the last. Though the thug was clearly more stronger than Kou, he managed to slip in and out of the man's grip time and time again. Adrenaline rushed through his veins, making him more aware of his enemy's moves. Finally, the man was fed up with the little games and caught Kou, pinning him to the ground and keeping a tight hold of Kou's neck. Morgana charged forward from the back, biting the man's hair and tugging him back. He dropped his knife, which he had used to swipe the purse from the woman before. The knife dropped to the ground and Kou rolled over to catch his breath. Acting on instinct rather than logic, as the thug tossed Morgana off and charged back forward, and Kou snapped.
He grabbed the knife and swung around, meeting the man's chest with the metal object. The look of shock and fear on the man's face was one Kou would never forget. When he dropped to the ground, Kou stood over the now dead man. Red dripped to the ground and started to slightly pool around the man and Kou almost couldn't believe what had happened. His eyes were wide and he took a step back, holding his face in his hand. But something clicked in his head. Instead of running away in fear, Kou almost chuckled. The two thugs from before stared in horror and scrambled to their feet to escape. But before they could even take a step, Morgana appeared. A cursed song ripped through the night, the Perish Song caught the thugs within the range and brought them down, though unconscious. Morgana herself fell as well, into Kou's arms.
Days later, the attempted mugging appeared on the news. And though Kou was questioned, he admitted he had no idea who had killed the one man. It was a blatant lie, and though Kou possibly could have gotten away with the act because it was in self defense, he wasn't going to risk it. From that day onward, Kou thought it was a interesting opportunity. Though cornered by three men, he and Morgana had struck fear into three humans. And the looks on their faces was rather amusing to Kou. His boring life disappeared from then on out, and soon enough, Phantom was born.
Since then, Clearwater has been the source of all of Kou's 'jobs'. Ever since then as well, Kou had picked up Taekwondo. When people ask why, he generally tells them it's for self protection in case something like that ever happened again. Which isn't far from the truth. He has been in Taekwondo for quite a while now and has moved himself into a Black Belt position and can easily protect himself, or take down someone, if he wanted.
He plans on gathering more Pokemon as well. Morgana stays by his side, loyally as ever. The Misdreavus has no issue with the path Kou has chosen, as it provides her entertainment as well. His duel life has proved to be interesting from then on out. There's something about leading two lives that's thrilling to Kou. Compared to his dull and boring life he once lead, this one was much more exciting. Humans were easy to fool and manipulate, and Kou was going to take advantage of that in every possible way he can.

Known as Black Cat around his home city, and Phantom to his associates, Koue's alternate identity is a merciless assassin for hire. His jobs vary depending on how many 0's are in the reward. He doesn't care what sort of a job it is, if it pays well for the amount of effort he put in it, Kou will most likely accept it.
He aims to make the world his playground and keep himself entertained. However, during the day, Kou is a simple college student. The balance between the two lives is easy for Kou, and even though he keeps his two lives separate, there are times where one will bleed into the other. Either intentionally or unintentionally. More likely than not, Kou will revert to his true personality when he is away from his home city.
