A deep, dark chuckle escaped the throat of Dayton Raymer as he stepped through the darkened and crumbling alley ways of a once, great city. The moon held high in the sky, high-lighting the dark, twisted features of Dayton's face as he stepped into an opening. Desdemona and Adramelech followed him closely, watching their master smile in a wicked manner at the surrounding area.
A smile crossed Dayton's face at the sight of Pokemon playing happily, undisturbed by the destructive and careless habits of humans. It pissed him off how humans could sit there, steal these creatures from their homes and then mistreat them the way they do. The thoughts of the cruelty of humans began to make his mind swirl. Even with the medicine, he could still envision things. And that was why he believed he was a prophet.
Faceless people, adults and children, climbed out of the ground and began to pace the streets, legs dragging behind some and constant moans and groans of torture and pain crawled from their faceless features and it made Dayton have to look the other way. Looking to the buildings, crawling with people. Climbing up them, hissing violently in his directions.
Shadows watched him from the distance and dead leaves rolled down the street, making Dayton look down and stare at the leaves, watching as the delusion faded easily. A recovery aided by his medication. He looked down at his Deino, Desdemona and reached down, petting her down her back. "Go on girl. Let's see what you can aid us in recovering from these ancient streets." He spoke gently, earning a coo from the Dragon Pokemon.
Desdemona walked along the ground, sniffing and occasionally butting into the back of Adramalech, the Duskull who helped keep her from running into something that would truly hurt her. Dayton walked behind her carefully, watching her progress, ignoring the slamming headache setting into the back of his skull.
His girl let out a cry and started growling at a spot in the ground. Dayton figured she wasn't going to dig for herself cause she didn't know what she would dig into, so he reached down and started pulling dirt and gravel away from the old streets, moving an occasional piece of cobble away from where he was digging.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found Relic Statue! Definitely not the bacon god. ( Post a Mod Summons to exchange this for •20 )
There was another chuckle that escaped Dayton, but much lighter. His girl had found him an ancient relic of some sort. Dayton marveled at it some and placed it back into the ground. "Good girl Desdemona. Go on. Continue your wondrous search." He encouraged her, letting her bound ahead of him, still bumping into the hind end of Adramalech, who just turned and looked at her with his eyes, narrowing them in a light humor.
Her super optimistic personality always made Dayton smile. Such usually violent Pokemon, yet she was always so gentle outside of battle. He followed after her with a light jog, some of the Pokemon moving out of his way though as he followed the reckless dragon down the streets. To be honest, it looked as if Dayton was starting to grow concerned for her health as she kept bumping into Adramalech.
She finally skidded to a halt and started digging vigorously, kicking dirt all over the place. Oh, now she digs for herself.
He raised an eyebrow at the Leaf stone and smiled, placing it back into the ground. Nothing pertaining to ghost type Pokemon. So it wasn't worth his time. He patted her on the head and turned her to face another direction. "Go on little one. Keep trying. You're getting a little better at this." He stated. taking note at her impeccable sniffing speed. She was definitely becoming a wonderful Pokemon. Dayton smiled joyously at the Deino bounding around.
It helped calm his mind and draw him from the delusions that ached his mind. His headache even began to fade as he watched the Pokemon bound around the fields, running into a decrepit old building. Dayton picked up his pace and jogged after her, stopping when he entered the building. Several ghost types fading away and several more watching him from afar, and his Deino closely, as she dug through a old dresser looking thing... Dropping something on the floor.
He silently gathered the Audinite up, looking it over in his usual silence. It... wasn't useful to him, but the genius had many thoughts of what he could do with it flowing through his mind. He pocketed the stone and reached down to pet Desdemona calmly, feeling her loving nature and feeling her press her head into the pets. It wasn't long before she jumped onto him and started licking the hand out of excitement. She wasn't like most Deino, and this disposition was very unsettling, considering how when Dayton found her, she was an unrelenting cog in a machine of destruction.
He placed her to the side and stood up, leading her outside of the old building and leading her off. It was time for a little bit of old fashioned training.. maybe even a possible catch. Their footsteps were quick but silent as they moved down an alley way, all three grinning.
Nope nope nope nope nope! Dayton was not about to wear out his precious Deino's energy on such a useless Pokemon such as a normal type. He growled back at the wild Furfrou and turned tail to run with his Pokemon, he bolted down the road a little bit with Adramalech in tow, it took just a little bit before Dayton realized he didn't hear any foot steps either.
He spun around on his heel and looked to note that Desdemona had been bitten by that damn Furfrou. Actually raising his voice in that rare, once in a life-time moment, he urged Desdemona to focus and stop getting so angry. "Just use Crunch! Bite the damn thing back as hard as you can!" His Deino writhed underneath of the Furfrou's paw now and bit onto it at the knee.
While the Furfrou was stunned and while the battle was still just a scuffle, Dayton ran up and yoinked Desdemona away, heaving the dragon up to his chest and bolting with her. And to their luck, the damn thing turned and left them alone, probably not wanting to deal with another bite from her.
"Good girl Desdemona... now let's get back to looking for a Pokemon." He spoke, putting her down quickly and noting the change in the light, the moon now high in the sky. How time flew it seemed, but he was happier now and so was his Duskull.
