some coincidences are deliberate not really / 1 of 4 / 250 With last month’s searching producing a rather mixed bag of results, Andrea could only scratch her head at how her searching luck was fluctuating from good; then to bad, to outright ‘wtf’ on so many levels. She could feel that the air was warming somewhat—but decided to err on the side of caution as she dressed warmly for the weather once more, for her return trip to the Ruins. She could only guess as to what would eventually happen if she started stumbling on the rocky things (how she longed to smash a vase or two if ever she came across any); she’d definitely lose her temper and attempt to kick it as far away as she could.
After several hours of trekking through snow-covered paths and very nearly getting lost in the sea of white, she finally found the well-worn, if somewhat slippery path, which snaked down the side of a hill that led to the Ruins, looming over her as impressively as ever. Not even snow would stop these people… she thought as she spotted several figures approaching the place from a distance as well. They must know… but well… she mused as she then continued down the slippery path, almost losing her balance several times before she finally reached well-worn, tramped, flat level ground. Taking in a deep breath, she then squared her shoulders as she then made a beeline towards the nearest entrance and grabbed a flash light, clicking it open and beginning her search. some coincidences are deliberate not really / yikes, doom indeed! Pass / 297 This time, it didn’t take too long or Andrea to find something—just as she’d rounded a corner in one of the long hallways that she was currently poking around in—when she heard a loud, distinct, ‘click’ noise echo throughout the area. She then looked around, tightening the grip on her flash light—when she heard an ominous rumbling noise. “Oh… Oh, scheisse!” she hissed, before her feet quickly began hitting the pavement; as aforementioned rumbling noise grew louder and louder—and as she turned to look over her shoulder, she saw a rock that was as tall—and as wide—as the corridor that she was currently traversing was now headed in her direction! “THE HELL?!” she shrieked, as the scraping noise grew louder and louder, and her feet began to move as fast as she could manage—overturned columns and snagged roots permitting. She then felt her breath catch in her throat as she began to run as fast as her legs could allow; the rumbling thing that was chasing her down the corridor was getting louder—not to mention faster. “CRAAAAAAAAP!” she screeched as she felt her foot snag on something, and had to stop for a few seconds—was she going to die here, and get squashed into a pulp? The trap’s obstacle was still picking up speed, and after a few more frantic seconds of struggling, she’d finally managed to free herself and dove right into the first room on the right that she could see! The rumbling noise then trundled past her current hiding place—and she noticed that she’d landed quite hard on her knees; her hands were literally pressing flat into the stone floor—but why didn’t she feel any pain? Was it because of the adrenaline rush? CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

some coincidences are deliberate not really / claiming!!! / 291 It didn’t take too long for Andrea to finally recover and pull herself up into a standing position; finally managing to dust down her hands and then taking a look at the damage that she’d received. “Tch,” she hissed, noticing that her knees were rather banged up—considering the fact that she was wearing boots that reached up to her thighs; then the impact of hurling herself into this room in order to avoid certain death was something in itself. As she continued to assess herself for any further injuries, her eyes caught sight of a dais that was just sitting there in the middle of a room. The deity statue, or whatever guardian that was watching over it, looked like some sort of bird that had a rather… impressive wing span, depiction permitting. She didn’t know what kind of Pokémon it was; however, the glittering thing sitting atop the dais was something that certainly got her attention. She then walked forward as best as she could; looking around very warily, just in case even this room was rigged with some sort of trap! “I hope this room is safe,” she continued to mutter as she then hopped atop the dais, the better to look at the weird statue that was guarding the glittering marble. She continued to look around, just making sure that nothing too crazy would happen, and then lifted the marble off the dais. Her ears were literally strained, trying to listen to something clicking or anything; but thankfully nothing too bad happened. She could only stare and gape open-mouthed at the thing, wondering what it was. “Can’t make heads or tails of this thing…” she continued; before looking around—just in case something came whistling from the walls!
