It had been a few weeks ever since Andrea had ventured into the Ruins; it was only now she was able to get back due to her schedule suddenly getting tied up. it was mostly going around and getting to business that involved meeting up and finally getting settled down in the Bosky Hamlet alongside her brother; and mostly getting the entire place habitable for human living. It was long, hard work—but at the end of it, the results were most definitely satisfying.
She now suspected that her arms were now slightly bulkier due to all the painting she had to do (as Tom was the one who had constructed, she took care of the painting of the entire house from floor to ceiling) and her head was still feeling quite fuzzy from all the thinner and varnish she’d help spread down, so the musty, damp air of the Ruins was a breath of fresh air, so to speak. “Well, just in time, too… this is the last chance I have in order to be able to get the goods. I wonder how he’s doing in his expeditions…” she muttered to herself as she then took out another flash light, clicked it on, and began to walk down a long, dimly-lit, damp corridor.

Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found Relic Crown! A crown made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price. Rumor has it it'll make you King of the Rocks, too, but maybe those people were out in the heat too long. ( Post a Mod Summons to exchange this for •30 )

Her footsteps were echoing off the cold, stone floor—blame it on the two-inch heels her current pair of boots possessed, which made the aforementioned clicking noise. As she wiggled the flash light beam up and down, she could only guess and wonder what was going on; because to be honest, the Ruins were just as mysterious as ever. She’d also gotten word that there was a certain section of the place that was still rigged with live traps, and that it would be a complete and total disaster if she’d ever get herself tangled in one of those rooms!
Wondering if it was okay to poke around in this part of the area, she then shined her flash light into the nearest empty space; but saw nothing but rubble and junk that had already been picked clean.
“Tsk. Got here a bit too late,” she hissed as she then backed out of the room and continued down the corridor—never mind that there was a weird, ugly crown of some sort lying not too far away from where she was walking away from. “Nope, keep searching, girl. Just keep searching,” she continued as she then plunged deeper into the Ruins, continuing to shine the beacon of light in her hands up and down, trying to check if there was anything of relative general interest lying in wait for her to see and discover.

As she continued to wiggle the beam of light up and down in her free hand, she then stuck her head into a nearby room—only to see it looking like someone, more like several people—had already gone in and ransacked the place of all valuable, important treasure. Wondering if it was still worth coming out to the place this late, she could only sigh; before shaking her head and retreating from the room that she was going to inspect. She could then only wonder at the state of the various other rooms that were lying in wait for her to poke through, and hopefully she’d be able to pick up something from them at the very least.
She was contemplating on calling up her brother to see if he had some time to spare; see if they could tackle the place together—when she heard a clattering noise not too far away.
In fact, aforementioned clattering noise was coming from somewhere near the region of her foot; and as she looked down, Andrea thought she saw the faint outline of…something. Instinct was telling not to look down, and she then quickly shuffled away from the…thing that her foot had seemingly brushed up against. Hoping against hope that her luck would change for the better, she then sighed, before turning down another long corridor and began inspecting the rooms by shining the beam of her flash light within. There was no way she could tell if she was going to get something good, or something bad; she was already lowering her expectations that she wouldn’t be able to find anything of use on this journey by this point in time…

not really / did she just win the lottery? CLAIMING / 358
By now, Andrea was already expecting the worst to come—because after skipping two of the weird things that she’d sighted so far, she didn’t expect too much for the next thing she’d come across. Well, as they said back then, third time’s the charm… or was it fourth? I don’t know… she mused to herself in the back of her mind as she continued to peer into rooms as she traveled further down this new corridor that she was currently traversing. As the beam of light poked into a new room, she caught sight of something… winking at her from somewhere within its depths.
Wishing to Arceus that the room she was about to step into wasn’t fucking rigged with a live trap, she then cautiously stepped inside and listened rather attentively—because from all those movies that she’d seen, if there was a distinct “click” noise, then there was most definitely a trap!
Thankfully, there was no clicking noise to be heard—and even if there was, it was just the sound of her heels tapping against the stone floor. Now that she was inside, she then made headway straight to the spot where she’d seen the winking—and then crouched down, before poking the flash light at where the winking light was coming up from. It was coming from a hole… and she’d already seen enough Indiana Jones flicks to see where this was going.
“Stick it in, or not stick it in…” she muttered, before transferring the flash light to her other hand, and then taking a deep breath, gently poking her hand into the hole. Thankfully, there was nothing that closed around it and amputated her limb off, and after a few seconds of blind groping, she then managed to get her hands on the thing, and after extracting her hand from the hole, she then saw it for what it was: a marble.
“You don’t look like nothing I’ve seen. Nothing at all. Well, I know you’ll get me rich, quick. So let’s go,” she muttered as she pocketed the weird thing before retracing her steps down and out of the Ruins.
