some coincidences are deliberate

After finding the weird blue rock with what looked like the imprint of a turtle shell on its back, Andrea was back for more. She’d managed to make it out of the Ruins alright just the day before, and after getting back to the temporary place she was occupying (at least until she got word from Thomas about their little “hideout” thing in the Bosky Hamlet being done) and promptly passing out and not waking up until it was afternoon of the next day—meaning, today—she then proceeded to get herself ready for the day, by taking a hot bath and then preparing all the equipment that she needed before setting out. After checking her mobile phone for messages and making sure that she had everything she needed, she set out for her trek to the Ruins, completely and totally unaware of the snow storm that was headed her way.
Several hours later…
Andrea had pulled herself through towering drifts, hissing and spluttering all manner of indecent words, while shaking off as much as she could without slipping on the ice as she headed down the road that led to the snow-covered Ruins that looked less ominous when they were topped with a nice, white smattering of the wet stuff falling from the heavens. “Drats! Why didn’t anyone tell me about the snow storm?!” she shouted, before covering her mouth; suddenly realizing and remembering what could happen if she was alone in a place with so much snow. She’d seen it happen before while on her journey in Sinnoh, and it wasn’t pretty. She knew that avalanches were a dangerous thing, so she continued to pick through the road in utter, dead silence until she finally came to the forefront of the Ruins that was looming in front of her.
“Finally, some shelter,” she managed to splutter out as she then walked into the damp, musty corridor almost welcomingly. It may have stank, but hey, it was home…for her, at least temporarily. “Alright, let’s go…” she trailed off, reaching for a flash light and flickering it on, before getting all the remaining snow brushed off her and finally starting to explore the place.
