Ambitions: Kaze just wants to figure out what he wants to do with his life. He graduated not too long ago and has yet to even think about college. His sister is out of the house and he's enjoying his time at home, but his parents continue to bother and nag him about his future. After some debating and convincing, Kaze's parent gave him a time limit of one year to figure out his future. If he doesn't decide by the end of next summer, he'll be forced to go to a college of his parents choosing. And while that isn't that bad, because he's sure they'd pick a community college, Kaze wants to control his own life and future. He just doesn't know how yet.

[attr="class","cafappscra"]There wasn't a dull moment in Kaze's life. He was thankful for his parents and that they were able to support both him and his sister. They weren't the richest of families, but they did have a somewhat wealthy life. Dachi and Yui were both Shui natives who were next door neighbors. His father got a job downtown at the photography studio while his mother worked as a secretary in the local hospital.
As he was growing up, he had to deal with a lot of things. Mostly his one annoying older sister. His sister, Emi, was hell to live with. She was 4 years older than him, which made things even worse in his opinion. If there was one thing Kaze will always remember about his sister, it was she was an over achiever, and the compliments only boosted her ego.
Kaze could explain her personality in two words: god complex. Emi always was in some sort of club at school, got some sort of achievement, something that she could hang up on the wall or put on a shelf and something his parents could always be proud about. However, for Kaze, he didn't really fit into any of those categories. And he had big expectations from his parents. Emi had set the bar and to Kaze, it seemed unreachable.
Once he was enrolled in the local elementary school, Kaze was definitely feeling the effects of living in his sister's shadow. Even his teachers were expecting a lot out of him. She was out going and very involved with after school clubs, which is what both his parents and teachers were expecting. But, much to their disappointment, he ended up almost being exactly opposite of her. Kaze was quiet and spaced out in the middle of class. His grades were average, sometimes even dropping below. While Emi continued to get awards in the 5th grade, he was simply trying to understand his homework for the week.
Over the years, Emi and Kaze began to butt heads. Arguments would constantly break out during the weekend or at dinner. Kaze was tired of being pressured to be like his perfect sister, and Emi was tired of Kaze being lazy and not giving his 100% in school. His parents could only try their best to ignore the two. Both his mother and father never tried to break up their fights, let alone deny any of the things Emi was saying. It wasn't until Kaze turned 8 that his parents finally took some responsibility.
When he was 8, Emi had a few of her friends over for a sleepover. Kaze's mother and father went out to get some more groceries and to grab some food, leaving him alone with Emi and two of her friends. As usual, Kaze and Emi couldn't see eye to eye and another fight erupted. But this one didn't end well for Kaze. One of her friends suggested they teach him a lesson. Angry and frustrated, Emi agreed and grabbed Kaze by the arm. By that point, Kaze honestly feared for his life. He knew that he and his sister never got alone well, but she didn't hesitate to grab his arm and drag him to the hallway.
Emi's two friends opened the closet door and Emi shoved Kaze inside. The door shut and locked on him, and the one thing Kaze could remember was seeing his sister behind her two friends, looking away as if she didn't see a thing. He knew they didn't get along and that Emi thought he was practically useless, but they were still family. But Kaze had little time to reflect on that. The door was locked and he could hear mumbled voices of Emi and her friends. Part of him was hopeful that this was just going to last for a second or two and then Emi would come to his rescue. That she would open the door and let him out, apologize and just forget this ever happened. But that never happened. Instead, the voices became distant and the hallway light shut off, leaving Kaze trapped in the closet for the remainder of the night. It wasn't until the two friends went home and his parents were heading to bed that he was found. Emi had convinced their parents that he was up in his room playing some video game.
He was found nearly an hour later. And by the time his parents found him, he was on the verge of having a panic attack. Since then, his parents have kept a close eye on him and Emi and intervened whenever a fight would break out. Even though Kaze could tell Emi highly regretted her actions, there wasn't much room for apology. Their silent hate for each other continued for the longest time, and Kaze only got a break when he entered high school. By that time, his sister was out of the house and in college to become a nurse. And Kaze couldn't have been any happier.
Things started to change for Kaze in high school. Though the change was gradual, Kaze finally started to feel comfortable and relax more. He got new glasses, he was making friends, he was free of pressure from his parents he was the most relaxed he had ever been before. He almost did a complete turn around with his personality. While he was still quiet and observative, he did end up making a handful of friends in high school. But that wasn't the only thing that changed for him.
During freshman year, Kaze began to see some changes with himself. Some of them weren't good. Not did he start getting headaches often, but he started to see lights. At first, he thought he was going crazy. While it didn't happen often, when it did happen, it freaked Kaze out. There were times where he could see a stream of light in the air. There was no certain pattern to the stream, it was almost like string in the air that just kinda hovered above everyone's head. When he told his parents at first, they were extremely concerned and took him to a few eye doctors in the city. But none of them could say what Kaze was seeing. The only thing he got out of that was a stronger prescription for his glasses.
The weird stream of light continued for a while and they were spontaneous throughout the day. Kaze couldn't really see a pattern when the lights would appear and tried to ignore it for the most part. That wasn't the annoying part. The annoying part about high school was the migraines and headaches he would develop during school. But like the streams of light, this couldn't be explained and it was something he'd have to live with. While the headaches were tolerable, the migraines were not. There were days where Kaze was sent home from school early and his parents had to pick him up.
But other than the few medical problems Kaze got, he rather enjoyed high school. His sister was gone, which was a great relief to him. He opened up a little more to his school friends and his parents and became rather popular throughout the school. Not only for his looks, but Kaze had a ridiculous ability to know what someone else was feeling. No matter how many times he tried to explain it, it'd always come to the same answer. "It's a gut feeling." And to be honest, he didn't really get it either. It was a gut feeling, but Kaze couldn't help but feel it was because of something more. But he shook the feeling off and didn't think too much about it.
During his sophomore year, Kaze was sent to the urban shopping district to pick up some groceries for home. While he was down there shopping, he had to pick up some floral arrangements for his mom, who was helping a friend of hers prepare for her wedding later in the week. Once he entered the shop and began talking to the workers, Kaze found himself getting a part time job there after school. He was surprised to find that he liked the workers and the costumers there, not to mention the smell of the flowers soothed his headaches too. His parents were pretty proud of their son to learn that he landed himself a part time job.
While Kaze worked there, he was surprised to find two of his closest Pokemon there. When the shop was almost robbed, a Stunky warded off the thief and actually knocked the guy out, just in time for police to come and pick him up. Despite the Stunky's heroic efforts, the owner didn't allow the Poison type to stay. Apparently, she had been hiding and living in the shop for a couple of weeks, which explains the weird smell that was coming from the break room. With some convincing, to both his boss and his parents, Kaze ended up taking in the Stunky and keeping her as his companion. Some time later, a Buizel wandered into the shop and hasn't left since.
As the years went on, he slowly began to deal with the migraines and the light. His parents jokingly called him insane or crazy whenever he would bring it up, but it got to the point where Kaze didn't even bother anymore. Once he graduated, Kaze was at a complete loss. He didn't exactly know what he wanted to do, but his parents were beginning to nag him to go to college or at least get a better job. But Kaze really did enjoy his job. He couldn't really explain it, but when he delivered some of the flowers to some of the women and elders, the happy expression on their face made his day.
After some debating, and convincing, Kaze decided to take a year off from school. Though his parents weren't happy at first, Kaze reassured them that he'd still have a money income. The floral shop offered him a full time job and were happy to have him around more often. Though his parents still weren't that happy with his decision, he was given a chance. He had one year to figure out what he wanted to do with his life, and if he didn't have anything figured out, he was going to go to a college of their choosing. A full year is long enough to decide what he wants to go though, right?

Aura Abilities
Kaze is capable of sensing aura and it's just starting to awaken. However, for now, he passes off the random migraines and headaches as nothing and tries to ignore the weird stream of light he sees.
Able to sense emotions and actions - While Kaze isn't able to read people or Pokemon's minds completely, he is able to sense what emotion they are feeling. He isn't able to hear words, but instead will feel an intense emotion from the person. However, because he hasn't fully awakened his aura ability yet, Kaze will get a 'gut feeling' that something isn't right. Some have called it his 6th sense because he's usually dead on about what a person is feeling. He doesn't really get it himself. No matter how many times he tried to explain it, no one really understands it and neither does he. It's like a small radiating energy that's either negative or positive that he can sense from another person or Pokemon. There's been times where he's been able to predict someone's movement. There isn't really a real way for Kaze to explain any of this, so he keeps most of this to himself.
Able to track aura - Kaze is able to track aura, but for now the range of his tracking abilities isn't very big. And the way he is able to track it is a bit weird. He must touch something of the person or Pokemon, a belonging of theirs that they've held close or wore within a certain amount of time. Once he touches the item, Kaze sees this stream of aura that floats through the air. Almost like a thin string that leads him to the person. If the person goes out of range, the stream vanishes and the trace disappears. If Kaze wanted to extend his range, he would need to focus completely onto the trail. However, this isn't without its drawbacks. If he focuses too long and hard on the trail, it'll trigger a migraine and his eyes will become sensitive to the light, not to mention the hammer pounding against the side of his head.
Because the power is still coming to light, Kaze's range is quite small. Maybe around 100 feet at most. The trail he sees in the air is quite faint too, like a tint of energy flowing through. While he has had his eyes checked over and over again, the doctors could never explain what he was seeing. There's been times where he's followed the trail, but when it ended he'd find himself either in a random store or the park.
Able to sense other auras, even while blinded - There's been times while Kaze had his eyes closed (or while he was dozing off in class) that he sees colors and outlines of figures. They're not in any certain shape or form, sort of like a disfigured person or Pokemon outline. The outline itself is rather fuzzy and tinted. When he opens his eyes after seeing it, the outlines fade out of his sight until he closes his eyes again. This occurrence tends to come and go and Kaze could never explain why. He'd seen countless of eye doctors in the city, and not one could explain.
Able to see other auras - Like most aura users, Kaze is able to physically see the aura. It might be in a certain shape or surrounding the person, but each aura has a unique feeling about it. Whether it's friendly, aggressive, colorful or plain, there's something different about it that Kaze can't really explain sometimes.
From experience, the more dull color auras tend to be the people who have bad intentions or are hostile towards him. The colorful auras are the friendly and lively people.
Aura causes (Taken from Wikipedia)
Auras appear gradually over a number of minutes and generally last fewer than 60 minutes.
Visual effects occur most frequently; they occur in up to 99% of cases
Vision disturbances often consist of a scintillating scotoma (an area of partial alteration in the field of vision which flickers and may interfere with a person's ability to read or drive.)
These typically start near the center of vision and then spread out to the sides with zigzagging lines which have been described as looking like fortifications or walls of a castle. Usually the lines are in black and white but some people also see colored lines. Some people lose part of their field of vision known as hemianopsia while others experience blurring.
Sensory aurae are the second most common type; they occur in 30–40% of people with auras. Often a feeling of pins-and-needles begins on one side in the hand and arm and spreads to the nose-mouth area on the same side. Numbness usually occurs after the tingling has passed with a loss of position sense.
Silent headaches it is difficult to assess the frequency of such cases, because patients who do not experience symptoms severe enough to drive them to seek treatment, may not realise that anything special is happening to them, and pass it off without reporting anything.
Cortical spreading depression, or spreading depression according to Leão, is bursts of neuronal activity followed by a period of inactivity, which is seen in those with migraines with an aura. There are a number of explanations for its occurrence including activation of NMDA receptors leading to calcium entering the cell. After the burst of activity the blood flow to the cerebral cortex in the area affected is decreased for two to six hours. It is believed that when depolarization travels down the underside of the brain, nerves that sense pain in the head and neck are triggered.
Aura Triggers
Sight - Passively, Kaze is able to sense auras within a 200 foot range. But until it is fully awakened, the range is short and only up to 100 feet. He can begin seeing auras when he makes eye contact with someone or when they are radiating an intense emotion. However, he is still able to see everyone's aura around him, but if they are in a normal or happy mood, it isn't too overwhelming. If he's in a crowd of people or there are too many intense negative emotions, Kaze can become overwhelmed. It can cause migraines if he isn't careful.
Touch - To track a person or Pokemon's aura, Kaze will need to touch something of theirs that they came in contact with over a certain amount of time. The aura is strongest when the person or Pokemon has touched the item within the last week and becomes weaker the older the item is. He can have a hard time finding someone's aura if the item hasn't been touched within a month's period. There would still be a small trace, but the trail would be extremely hard to follow.
Claustrophobic - Kaze passes off most of his aura signs as his claustrophobia. Because the two are extremely similar, he thought nothing of it as he got older. It was because of a incident at home that Kaze ended up getting claustrophobia. He can manage things as small as a regular sized elevator for a few minutes, 30 at max, before his anxiety will kick in. If he's stuck in anything smaller, the time is cut to 15 minutes.
His claustrophobia doesn't effect him when he's confined to a chair or a car for example, but more so small or locked rooms.
Lying habit - Whenever Kaze lies, he scratches behind his right ear. For what reason, no one knows. But his family will instantly know when he's lying and no matter how many times he's caught himself, he just can't shake the habit.
Rambles when he's embarrassed or panicked - He tends to go on and on about whatever whenever he's embarrassed or somewhat panicked. When he's caught doing something he wasn't supposed to, or thought he was in trouble, he tends to ramble on as well.
