Andrea had literally gone into “vacation mode” and had only recently come back after the New Year’s had blown over; and she was now…quite raring to go back to the Ruins once again. Last month (or should she say last year), the searching had resulted in a mixed blessing for her—some trips had yielded excellent finds, other trips yielded… weirder kinds of items; and she was hoping that since it was the new year and all, her luck would take an upturn and things would look all the better. After making sure that she’d already packed everything she needed (like flash lights, extra batteries, some supplies) and that she was dressed up warmly—the weather report had advised that there may be a chance of unexpected snow fall later in the day—she set out.
Some two and a half hours later, she’d finally managed to arrive at the Ruins proper—the reason why she’d taken so long to get there was the fact that there were a lot of blocked-off paths leading to the site, and that she had to paw around (and subsequently almost got lost in the wilderness) in order to be able to find an alternate path; thankfully she’d managed to find her way out of what almost looked like a nasty mess. Now that she was at the familiar Ruins once again, she then gently scaled down the slippery road, making sure to travel as carefully as possible—and once she’d arrived at the site, she reached for a flash light, flicked it on, and then shone the beam into the gloom. A few minutes later, she then plunged in, welcoming the sheltering presence of the Ruins—even if it did still smell kind of musty.
