Located on the small island in the bay of Bayonada, the Electric Type gym is set up to include a small port area, and a battling field. The field itself is large and set up in a broad area for one specific reason and the gym itself can be seen as rather unorthodox. Run by Elric Caulfield and @jax, the gym is played in a capture the flagesque manner. You can find the rules to the battles on the next tab.
Challenging the gym leader requires that you contact him by was of call or text at least 48 hours (oocly) in advance of the battle. Once contacted, he will direct you straight to a boat taxi that will take you out to the island on the night that your challenge will begin. Battles are only held at night, and there will be no exceptions made to this rule. If you don't want to do a night time battle, then don't challenge the gym. The battling field is set up in an industrial style, with open shipping containers, ramps, heavy equipment, watering holes, and ladders adorning the entire battlefield. Because the entire match is played in the dark, using only light from the moon and the lights built into the field itself, each Pokemon and human trainer is given a collar or bracelet that is either red or blue which will help the participants to tell each team from the other. There will be dark nights in which the moon is not shining, and they may even be nights in which it is raining or snowing. The LED equipment ensures that each individual is aware of one another. The field is generally made up of energy absorbing metals and plastics that help to power the lights of the field itself. This rule does not count for moves against the opponents Pokemon that force them to switch out their Pokemon (Roar, Dragon Tail, Circle Throw, and Whirlwind) as this is an involuntary substitution and will not be counted as a substitution and will result in the users loss of two flags.
No matter how many of your Pokemon have fainted, once one team has six flags, whether from fainted Pokemon or substitutions, the match is over. If you win, you will be awarded the gym badge.
