It was the New Year, and with it, it was another venture into the weird “Mega Ruins” that everyone was rather excited to start desecrating and stripping of treasures. For Rachel, though, this was a mixed bag: on some days she’d get lucky, on other days she’d end up with nothing but crap. Wondering if her luck was going to go sour this time around, what with the first searches of the year under way, she decided to join in on the early searchers—because if she went in much later, then who knew what would be left for her? Knowing that it was going to be another cold day, she then decided to bundle up—and she did just that, making sure to put on the thermal underwear—even if it was sunny outside, the snow drifts were quite high—and piling on her best, thickest winter attire that she could manage without going overboard.
Once she’d managed to wiggle her feet into the thickest pair of boots she could get her hands on, she then dropped the two containment units that held her slumbering companions, a Petilil and a bigger version of her chubby-bunny Rufflet, into her jacket pocket; before grabbing a few flash lights and cramming those in as well. “Well, Ruins here I come”, she muttered an hour and a half later, due to hiking through excessively high drifts and almost stumbling on the slippery road a few times, making a beeline for one of the warm, familiar—if somewhat musty and damp entrances that the Ruins possessed at the present time. “Be nice to me, okay?” she continued, looking up at the skyline—before plunging inside, the better to start looking for the nice things.
So far she’d had a rather small collection of the weird marbles, and the only thing she was doing with them right now was chucking them around while she was in her temporary hotel room—she’d left looking for a place to her troupe friends; because they’d all agreed on sharing a huge place themselves. Hopefully she’d be able to find some today…
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found a RELIC CROWN! A crown made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

It was going to be another long day, she knew—because for starters, the snow was falling once again. Rachel knew that she had to find whatever it was she was looking for, claim it, and then get the hell out of the place; because there was no way in hell she was going to get stuck in the Ruins without supplies. As if making sure that she still had access to the outside world, she then fished out her mobile phone and shook it a little, but was mortified to find out that she had no signal at all coming from the outside.
“Crap, have to make this a quick trip, then,” she hissed as she then looked around, before seeing something that had fallen over and looked quite interesting to scale. Surprisingly, most of the ruins that she was stumbling across had stuff that were either knocked over, or had fallen due to old age—but they were rather easy for someone of her caliber to climb over.
After scaling the first wall with much difficulty (due to the volume of clothes that she was currently wearing) she had finally managed to wiggle and squirm atop the fallen pillar, before accidentally kicking something as she stood up—and heard whatever it was land far below with an ominous smashing sound. “Oh, merde,” she hissed, trying to squint into the darkness, but it was the smashing sound that had given her the indication that she’d broken something by accident.
Sighing, she then looked down at the opposite side, before deciding to climb down as gently as she could—because seriously, what if she came face-to-face with something out of her nightmares? She could only hope that there was nothing lurking in the dark as she continued deeper into the Ruins.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found an INTRIGUING STONE! Not a Mega Stone but it's still a beautiful stone. It can be sold for a high price to a collector.

Rachel had no idea that when she’d climbed down from the fallen column that she’d scaled earlier, she’d run into another little disaster—only thing was this one was of the round and not-so-sparkly variety. As the ball of her right foot hit the thing, the crazy little rock decided to roll forward, very nearly making her loose her footing! “What in the—WHOA!” she shrieked as she felt her balance go way off than what she was intending, very nearly smacking her head against the rock that she was climbing down—her left arm reached out and attempted to grab the column as best as she could without toppling over backwards and causing extreme bodily harm to herself.
“Merde, whatever that was, it was absolutely nasty,” she hissed, some several tense minutes later as she had finally managed to regain her balance and was now standing upright once more. She then squinted down at the ground, trying to look for the offending culprit—to no avail. “Well that just sucks,” she continued, furrowing her brows into a concerned look, before squaring her shoulders and then marching deeper into the dimly-lit gloom. She was shaking her head as she now continued to prowl around really cautiously; sometimes taking exaggerated steps around gaping dark spots; secretly hoping that it wasn’t a hole that led to some chamber below where she’d get stuck with no chance of escape!

“I really should be careful whenever I start climbing down fallen columns…” Rachel muttered to herself as she continued prowling through the Ruins, taking really exaggerated steps as necessary; avoiding the obvious dark “patches” of ruin here and there—who knew if she was going to fall into a room that had spikes lining the bottom, or had a pool of bubbling poison, among other things. She mainly stuck to the path that was marked (it was definitely graffiti, because there were arrows that looked like they were drawn with permanent markers as opposed to something a lot more…traditional, like chalk) and continued to clamber along, barely missing hitting her head on a low ceiling.
As she then ducked down and around the structure, she then pulled herself up into another room—and this one had a lone pedestal on it. There was a cavity on aforementioned pedestal, and since curiosity most certainly killed the cat, she then approached it, making sure not to step on anything that stuck out like a sore thumb—she knew from watching so many movies that anything that had a lone pedestal in its center definitely qualified as suspicious, and that imminent care must be taken in order to approach the prize. Some several tense minutes later, she had hopped onto the dais which housed the pedestal, and then plucked the weird thing sitting in the cavity—it was a marble.
It was a lot more on the black-and-white side of the spectrum, and as she was inspecting it with the other marbles she’d found, she then knew that she’d gotten something, to say the least!
