It was that time of the month again. Rachel knew that if she didn’t get her fill of searching for those weird marble-like rocks, she’d never hear the end of it from her “inner conscience”. She then began to prepare—by getting dressed more appropriately, of course. Since winter was headed their way, she decided to slip on a thick pair of jeans, along with a shirt and a sweater—atop that was a thick, furry jacket. She’d already slipped on a pair of stockings, but also put on some leg warmers, before finally slotting her feet into the thickest pair of boots she’d thought of bringing along. Now that she was pretty much ready, she then began the solitary journey out to the Mega Ruins, trying to look for a place that hadn’t been violated by explorers like her yet.
Since there are a lot of entrances, there’s a lot of chances to look around and see if there’s anything inside… she thought as she wrapped a scarf around her neck an hour later; as she approached the Ruins proper. She’d decided to walk into another entrance, this time with one single flash light in her arms, shining the beam this way and that in order to check if there were any “nasty surprises in pink” that were hanging from the ceiling, waiting to catch her once again by surprise. Nope. I will not have any of that pink, long, icky, disgusting, gross licker’s tongue kissing me. Nope, she thought to herself, cringing for a few moments as she shone the beam at the ceiling for a few moments, before shaking her head and continuing deep into the Ruins.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found WISE GLASSES! Looks like another digger lost their glasses in the dig. Lucky you these are just for show, so you can probably sell them off or keep them for yourself to make yourself look smart?

It didn’t take too long for Rachel to actually find something—rather, her foot had found it first before the beam of her flash light had seen it; because there was this almighty crunching noise that erupted from the ground. She then shivered, before looking around in surprise—where did it come from? She then ground her foot on whatever it was she was stepping, and she thought she heard plastic bending and crunching underfoot—which then made her redirect the beam of the flash light down to the ground; before crouching herself and then plucking up the thing she’d stepped on.
A few seconds later, she realized what it was; and then slightly recoiled—who in the hell would leave their own pair of glasses in the ruins?! She then shook her head, before quickly letting it fall from her grip; and then walking around it. “Drats. Looks like I’ve already been beaten here. I hope they haven’t violated the other rooms yet,” she hissed a few moments later, plunging deeper into the Ruins, shining the beam of the flash light here and there in order to be able to continue scouting out the place. She knew she had to keep her ears sharp, because she’d already stepped on someone’s glasses—who knew if she was going to end up getting her foot in a landmine, literally.

It didn’t take too long for Rachel, who was walking really slowly, in order to run into something again. The beam of light was wavering—sometimes it would be pointed up at the ceiling, other times it would be directed down at the floor—because she’d already tripped over a few times earlier, and didn’t want to end up literally kissing the dirt this time around. She was now contemplating on acquiring a Fire-type companion so that she didn’t have to keep stumbling around in the blackness with just a meager flash light… that was now sputtering and apparently on its last legs. She then shook the thing furiously, before hissing and going in deeper into the Ruins.
After sometime had passed, she then felt her foot step on something…rather…squishy. She then shone the beam of the faltering flash light in her hands—only to recoil slightly out of disgust; what was it with fellow explorers littering the place?! Hell, if they were back in the Badlands in her mother’s home land, they’d be getting another earful from her. She then hissed instead, to hide her displeasure, and merely skirted around the fallen piece of cored fruit and continued on, shining the flash light up and down at certain intervals in order to make sure that nothing suddenly came up and sprang itself on her…

Thankfully, there seemed to be nothing of the pink, icky, disgusting, and slimy sort that came from out of nowhere to drop down and scare the hell out of Rachel at this present time. She then sighed out of relief; because whatever that pink thing was, it had completely and totally, absolutely definitely, made her…scared of the thing.
Whatever that thing that assaulted me out in the Wilds was something I never want to see again… she thought rather darkly to herself as she then let the flash light’s beam shine down and around the area; wondering if there was something nice waiting for her in the steadily darkening surroundings.
Ah, merde, I better start making my way out. I don’t want to get stuck in this place when night falls. I don’t want to relive that horrifying experience in the Badlands all over again… she thought to herself as she then turned on her heel, and started walking back in the exact opposite direction of whence she came. She continued to shine the beam of light around the place, making sure to sweep everything she saw –she might have accidentally gone past something, and not realized it.
She’d completely and totally missed the Dusk Stone that was at her feet; mostly because she was now looking up at the ceiling—and was starting to chase down the skyline that was steadily turning orange at this point…
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found WISE GLASSES! Looks like another digger lost their glasses in the dig. Lucky you these are just for show, so you can probably sell them off or keep them for yourself to make yourself look smart?

Rachel continued her trekking into the Ruins; but didn’t know that she was about to run into her first brush with bad luck—the crunching noise she’d heard a few moments later was a sign of that. After looking around and wondering where the hell that had come from, she then shone down the beam of light to the floor—and came across yet another pair of glasses that had been carelessly dropped and left behind. “Ugh, seriously?” she began, crouching down and picking it up, before examining it rather critically and then snorting with a sigh of disgust thrown in for good measure.
“People these days… really need to learn how toclean as you go!” she growled, the last part of the sentence going up in a rising intonation; almost as if it was a shout of dismay. “This is all I have to show from this place?” she continued a few moments later, before scanning the broken frame with a bit of disgust on her face. She then sighed, before holding the thing in-between two fingers on her other hand, before sighing once again and then making her way down and out of the Ruins—she’d want to have a word with all the other explorers who were just so careless.
