Andrea had decided to take a few days off from searching, and after getting the weird thing she’d spotted checked out (and confirmed that it was also similar to the slab of blue rock she had with her) she decided to make another return to the Ruins place. Having explored one side of it last time, she decided to check out yet another section of the place; and was secretly crossing her fingers that she wouldn’t wander into a part of the place that still had its traps triggered for live intervention that would result in injuries, permanent disability, or worse; death.
Well that’s half the fun of everything… she thought to herself as she finished dressing up in more Ruins-appropriate wear; swapping out the sandals for heavy boots, slapping on a pair of elbow and knee pads over her shirt and pair of jeans; her hair having been done up and secured with a hair stick to keep it out of the way.
“Now I’m ready,” she continued, strapping on a utility belt that had several flash lights of various sizes hanging off it just in case one of them sputtered and died. She then came to the section of ruins she’d been meaning to explore, and quickly unclasped one of the flash lights from the belt. After clicking it on, she then steeled her shoulders, squaring them as she then began her march into the ruins on this side of the search area, hoping that nobody had come to this place yet and had already violated it of all the treasures that it held.
“I’m coming, sparklies,” she muttered to herself, psyching herself up as she then walked into the inviting, open maw of the ruins, shining the beam of light around on the floor—to make sure she didn’t do something stupid and tripped over a concealed root or anything of the sort.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found a RELIC STATUE! A stone figure made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

As she began her hike into the Ruins, she then shone the beam of the flash light down to the ground she was walking on—because there was this chance she might accidentally trigger something and cause her premature death… there was no way she was going to die early—there was still another competition that she was slated to participate in; plus she still had to prepare for the competition, at least once she was out of this ruins run, that is.
She then began to pass another long hallway, and began shining the beam of the flash light into the rooms; trying to see if she might accidentally step on an out-of-place tile and trigger something that would cut her existence short. Thankfully, nothing of the sort had happened so far.
Breathing a sigh of relief, she then stopped by a particular-looking room, before peering inside with the aid of the flash light—and recoiled in slight disgust as she saw the beam of light fall on something she secretly swore to stamp out, no matter the cost. “Nope. Pass,” she drawled, stepping out of the room as slowly as she could, before nearly crashing into the wall and then picking herself up, and walking further inside.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found an INTRIGUING STONE! Not a Mega Stone but it's still a beautiful stone. It can be sold for a high price to a collector.

not really needed / nice try, but pass once more / 286
As she had finally somehow managed to recover her balance, Andrea went further inwards, shining the beam of light here and there—trying to pick out something of interest. So far, though, nothing was worth picking up; mainly because this part of the ruins had apparently also been ransacked. Judging by the various artifacts that had been littered and strewn all over the floor, she knew that the place she’d ended up exploring had already been picked through; and knew that she wouldn’t be getting anything of worth from here.
Sighing, she then shook the flash light—as the beam was faltering ever so slightly—before heading further inwards. She then noticed that the corridor she was walking down looked vaguely familiar; or was it a trick of the light her eyes was playing on her? In any case, she picked up the pace and walked down ever so slowly…until she felt her foot step on something.
She then shook the flash light vigorously before shining the beam down, and then seeing that there was something…glimmering underfoot. She then quickly crouched down and plucked the thing out of the ground and examined it with the faltering beam of the flash light—she thought it was one of those weird marbles, at first; but a slightly nagging suspicion within her was making her check otherwise. After withdrawing the case, and checking the few glimmering contents within, she then sighed, having raised her expectations way too early.
She then let the rather marble-like stone drop from her hands, before continuing deeper into the ruins. Now was usually the time she would start feeling desperate—but instead, she chose to contain that panicky feeling and just keep looking around.

not really / claiming the sparkly. Worth something, someday. / 243
It didn’t take too long for Andrea to find something again—but this time, it was something that she hadn’t seen in a very long time—as the beam of the flash light fell on the rainbow-colored rock that she was very nearly about to crush underfoot, she then backed away a few moments before quickly crouching down and plucking the thing out of the dirt.
“My, my. Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes…” she began with another grin on her face; before feeling around her shorts for the other container that she always carried around with her. As she heard the very distinctive clinking, music to her ears, she then transferred the flash light temporarily into her mouth as she held the thing steady, letting the beam fall to the ground, as she unzipped the container that she used to store the “valuable shinies”.
After checking and doing a quick headcount to make sure that it was all complete, she then dropped in the second rainbow-colored rock, where it landed with a clink amongst the valuable marbles that she’d unearthed so far. Now that she’d come for the little thing, she decided to hightail it out of the place—because she’d already heard very disturbing story from her brother about some of the rooms still being triggered with live traps—and how he’d almost lost his own life for one of the shining, shimmering, splendid things that were in the area.
