After hearing from her younger brother about the entire hullaballoo about a new region entirely—and being informed that there was a chance of getting those spanking, shining marbles in another place asides from “the excavation site” Andrea didn’t waste any time, she’d decided to go over to this new-fangled “region” to give things a try. She secretly hoped, though, that their “loving father” wouldn’t follow them all the way out here—after all, she knew that Thomas was looking for a new start, and she hoped that he’d be able to find that out here. Now that she was at the so-called “excavation site” of this region, she then blinked and looked around—and saw that the entire place was dotted with ruins. “Oh, shoot,” she began, noticing that some of the places looked really old, not to mention decrepit. Who knew if she was going to run into something nasty, all that he’d informed her about was to come “ready to hike through rough terrain” and here she was, all dressed up in her “normal Badlands” attire.
She was already starting to regret wearing the boots at this point.
As she began to traverse through the area, very nearly slipping and falling a few times (the regret was welling up now) Andrea then began looking around—because even if she’d been advised to bring a shovel by Thomas, where was she going to start looking? And how was she going to actually dig, if the entire place resembled something out of an Indiana Jones movie? “Nothing to it but to dig and bear it,” she muttered a few moments later as she found a place that didn’t look too disturbed yet; and went over to it, in order to begin the new “digging sprees” in this new “Badlands”. The question was, would her horrible luck from Kalos carry over to this part of the world? Or would she be granted “a fresh start” and hopefully, run into some goodies this time around?
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found RELIC VASE! A vase made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

Sometimes, it would be better for Andrea to just stop over thinking about things and just get on with the searching—because she hadn’t even gone a few steps in when she heard something drop and crash on the floor not too far ahead. Wondering if she’d set off a trap or something, she then looked around—but saw no flying axes, no rolling, crushing, spiky balls of death, no barrage of arrows, poison mist, anything of the Indiana Jones gimmickry she’d normally encountered when the little intrepid group would be exploring ruins and such.
Hell, if there’s an invisible bridge that would make my day… just scatter some dust into the void and watch it appear for a few moments before stepping out into the abyss… she thought with a grin as she stepped forward, brushing overhanging vines aside so that she could walk past unhampered. She knew that something had fallen and crashed, and just to be safe, she unslung the shovel she’d tied to her backpack and held it out in front of her, like a protective weapon.
As she walked forward, there was a room ahead that shone down a ray of the afternoon sun into it, permeating the area… and up ahead, there was a fallen something. As she approached it… the panic and nightmare that she’d endured in Kalos suddenly came rushing back to her in one fell swoop, and she automatically raised the shovel and then smashed the blunt side of it against the vase; because… how could she explain that the vases were following her all the way from Kalos?! Were they back to haunt and plague her? Were they really out to make her treasure-hunting life miserable?!
She then kept her face as impassive as possible as she brought down the shovel again and again, smashing it against the Relic item until it was no more—there was no way in hell she was going through another break down! Her younger brother had already seen what had happened to her in Kalos and was actually worried about the state of her own mental health; this time she was alone—but all the same, she was rolling towards another meltdown if she saw another one of those things!
“L-leave me alone!” she shouted at the shards of the Relic item; before huffing and stomping past it, into another room ahead—who knew what was up there, waiting for her…?

Thankfully, after she’d hightailed it out of the room where she’d just smashed one of the Relics to near-unidentifiable shards and rubble, she found herself in another area of the Ruins. This one seemed to consist of a long corridor—and there were several rooms shooting off in various directions; all of them waiting to be explored—and violated of the treasures that they held within.
For now, though, Andrea was content to look through each room as she made her way down the long corridor, trying to find something of interest that would catch her eye. As she continued forward, she then felt something underfoot—and stopped, before crouching down in order to take a look. The light situation in this part of the ruins was pretty dim, but after scrutinizing the weird thing, she then picked it up and then held it to her ears, and shook it.
She could make out the sound of sloshing water within, and could only guess that it was one of the many evolutionary stones that were readily available—even in this new area of a region. “Definitely not…” she said a few moments later, after coming to a stop in front of a random room, and taking aim; she then let the Water Stone roll out of her palm, and heard it jiggle across the floor, before vanishing into the shadows.
“Close, but not quite… I wonder…” she trailed off, looking around as she continued her walk down the long hallway, peering into the rooms she passed by, trying to pick out something in the process. This place sure beats digging up tunnels in the ground and making a mess… although there’s that very real danger of traps that are still live… she thought as she wove her way deeper into the ruins.

It was usually around this point in time that Andrea would be worrying, because after 2 consecutive duds, she would usually start having a bad feeling about what was coming. If the third thing she’d see was another dud, she’d already guess what to expect once the fourth and final thing she’d come across would be: a dud. What was it with her and attracting all manner of undesirable objects? She then shook her head—and peered into another room.
This one didn’t look as ransacked; nor as harassed, as all the previous rooms she’d peeked in—and once she’d seen something that definitely was not a part of the place, she stepped inside just to take a better look. As her eyes scanned the debris—noting that there were nothing but broken fragments of what looked like jars, as well as unidentifiable implements tossed carelessly against all manner of surfaces that were definitely musty, she came across something that looked vaguely…familiar. “Hmm, I think I’ve seen you before…” she began, before approaching the object, and once she’d managed to flip over the dully-colored slab of rock, she saw something…engraved on it.
This kind of reminds me of that blue piece of rock that has something like a feather in it… she thought, remembering the other thing she’d found that she’d tossed in cold storage, which was most likely on its way over now to this new region along with all of her brother’s possessions. “Well, beggars cannot be choosers, that’s for sure,” she muttered, before quickly searching her person to see if she had any protective paper to use in order to transport the weird slab out.
After realizing that she had none, she then tossed all caution out the window before quickly hopping over fallen debris and snatching the slab of rock bare-handed and hugging it close, before making her way down and out of the room. Now that she had the little “treasure” from this venture, she could now make a hasty retreat, in order to do some checking and research on this new “slab” of rock (which was actually a Fossil of some kind) that she had with her at the moment.
