some coincidences are deliberate not really / pun in the title. / 272 It had been several days since their joint expedition in the Badlands—and she just wanted to keep looking. Now that she’d gotten rid of the purple marble (apparently the same buyer for the Houndoomite had already claimed it) she hoped that something would come out of this little “sacrifice” that she was doing. She still had three more of the weird marbles, but decided to hang on to those instead; because who knew if they would come in handy when she entered a Coordinator contest? There were more unverified rumors flying around, this time on the Coordinator Network, that there was this new “way” of making an appeal with Pokémon when it was show time; but it left to be tested—and that’s what they were—rumors. Sighing, she then decided to return to the “excavation site”—she didn’t call it “Badlands” anymore because it truly lived up to its name and nasty reputation—and fell in line, choosing to hide her face behind a pair of shades and a newsboy cap. She had her usual supplies along with it; and now that she’d reached the front of the line, she silently turned over her backpack for inspection—and once she’d gotten the go signal, she then went straight into the site, and began looking around. She knew that getting her hopes up was way too much—as she’d experienced the last time—so she just decided to march out, looking for a spot that “appealed” to her. Once she’d found it, she then set her backpack down, and took out the collapsible shovel; before attacking the ground without a word. CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

some coincidences are deliberate not really / I suspected that Gengarite was the cause of her bad luck...! Claiming this. / 331 Who would’ve thought that Andrea’s nervous breakdown—and eventually getting rid of the purple marble—was the true cause of her “bad luck streak” all along? She knew that it was too much to hope, too much to ask; but as she continued to dig through the area in silence, she thought she’d heard something distinctly familiar. She shook her head, thinking that she was just simply “hearing things”, but as her shovel hit the thing again that had caused the very distinctive “clink” noise…was it too much to hope for? Was her luck finally turning around again? She then quickly tossed the shovel aside and then began pawing through the ground, using her bare hands—never mind that she’d forgotten to wear the gloves that she’d normally slip on whenever she’d start going through the dirt—but as her fingers felt something smooth, round, and cold…she trembled.I knew it! I knew that hanging on to that purple thing was the cause of all this! Just after I got rid of it, this happens! She thought as she looked at the dark-red marble that glimmered in the palm of her hand; and there was something blackish about the stripes on it, too. As she turned it over and over, she then realized that her brother might be interested in this particular little thing… her hands quickly reached for her phone, as she then pressed the digits for her younger brother’s personal line; and once she’d reached his voice mail, she then left him a message, which sounded like this: “T-tom. Argh. I knew something was fishy with that purple thing I found. After I got rid of it… I get this weird reddish-black one; and… you want it? Anything that I find now, I’m definitely selling off… because yeah, I don’t want the bad luck to chase me down again. But yeah, give me a call, tell me when you’re free so that I can drop it off for you.” CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS
