some coincidences are deliberate
not really / 2 of 4 for October / 314
It was another day out at the Badlands, and Andrea was here to try her… somewhat despondent luck. Since the past visit was plagued by a sandstorm—which inadvertently caused her to find a weird rock-like crown, she knew that she had to locate something good—otherwise go home flat broke. Her money was a bit on the low side once again, and she needed to at least score something so that she could continue on her stay in Kalos—her younger brother hadn’t texted or contacted her yet about what they were going to be doing about their parents back home in the Hoenn region. “Ugh, I swear, the sand there gave me a pretty thorough exfoliation…” she hissed as she then slipped into her Badlands-appropriate wear; tugging up a pair of high knee socks over the shiny new pair of rugged boots she’d bought after slipping on a more comfortable shirt and a pair of shorts.
After she’d suited up, she then picked up the shovel and the backpack that was crammed with sandwiches and several bottles of water—and made her way out of Lumiose and made headway right for the Badlands. No more stopovers, no more side trips—this was down and outright serious digging. After falling in line and getting her backpack inspected, she then made her way straight into the Badlands—which lived up to its name—and then sent out her Milotic; before heading in deeper. The Tender ‘mon followed her, and they eventually came to a spot, where she pointed. “There. Right there. Water Pulse it, then we can get digging,” she said softly, and the Milotic nodded before releasing a blast of water at the spot she’d pointed at. She then proceeded to dig once the ground was wet enough—because for some weird reason, the Badlands had areas that proved difficult to dig through.
