treasure time! / 1 of 4 for August / 334
Andrea was a bit late for the start of the August digging season, so she was not surprised to get word from the Network that there were some people who had already found marbles as early as now—she knew her luck was a mixed bag at best! Wondering if taking some time off before charging into the Badlands “gold rush” would be a good thing, she then decided to head out now, because who knew if her luck would change? She knew that she also had to get some money together—there was word that someone was potentially interested in the shining, shimmering marble that she’d found; however they were still working towards getting the cash in order to buy it off of her—and she agreed to hold it for that person, because apparently she was looking for that “Houndoomite” that she had acquired. She then headed out towards the Badands and was not surprised to see the volume of people headed in the same direction she was; and she knew that it was going to be a long day…
After falling in line, getting her things checked—and getting the go signal—she then entered the Badlands at last; looking around before noticing that some of the spots looked…recently abandoned. Nope, definitely not a good idea to look there… she thought as she skirted past those areas; trying to look for a nice, sheltered (who was she kidding) and deserted spot that she could dig from in peace. It had taken her ten minutes of walking; before she finally found the place that met all three of her criteria—and she then set her backpack down on the dirt; before sticking the shovel into the ground—and then commencing her digging. Who knew if she was going to get lucky this time around, or not? Only time will tell… she thought to herself as she then settled into her rhythm of digging and chucking the shovelful of dirt over her shoulder.

nope / pass on the Fire Stone / 316
Andrea had let the silence lull her into digging, and it wasn’t until she saw something that looked like flames frozen in a rock that she stopped to consider what she’d seen—and then knew right away that it wasn’t what she was looking for. Sighing, she then picked up her backpack, and then left the spot, trying to scout out another location where she could be able to try her luck again. She hadn’t been out here in a while, so the heat was definitely getting to her at this point—but she had to persevere, because who knew what other treasures were out there waiting for her? wondering if her brother was having better luck at this than she was, she continued to circle around the excavation site, trying to look for the one place where she could be able to find something that would immediately be able to strike it rich-and had seen the place after circling around the entire site approximately two times.
Alright, time to go have at it… she thought as she then dropped her backpack onto the grit, and then stuck the shovel once again into the dirt, letting the scraping sound of metal against dirt lull her into complete and total silence… she needed to concentrate on what she was doing right now, because she wanted to get this done as quickly as she could possibly manage! And still nobody wants that funny marble I found… what if the rumors about this particular one were true? That it’s so common, nobody would want it…? she thought to herself as she stuck the shovel down on a particularly stubborn patch of dirt, trying to figure out if she was about to hit something—or if the ground was just being really stubborn and refused to give way underneath the weight she was throwing against the shovel she was using.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found RELIC CROWN ! A crown made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price. Shaped like a Slowbro's poor decision. Put it on your head gain +15 to knowledge ( Post a Mod Summons to exchange this for •30 )

just my sanity / pass on the Crown / 279
The weather was starting to become unbearable, and Andrea could feel the stickiness starting to build up all over her exposed arms and legs. Shoot. Should’ve brought along the sun block… she thought to herself as she then heard her shovel hit something… that sounded like a rock. “Huh…” she trailed off, before striking the spot where she was digging with the shovel once more, where it made another “clunk” noise that sounded… hollow. She then continued to dig… before seeing that it looked like some sort of a crown… and definitely it wasn’t what she had her sights set on. “Oops, not you,” she muttered to herself as she then strode over to her backpack and then plucked it up, before quickly walking away, leaving the crown half-exposed to the elements.
She then decided to hike through the area; coming across other people who were also doing her “transfer locations if it’s ugly” tactic, and chuckled—looks like it wasn’t just her who was having some kind of rut with their luck in finding things. It had taken her a good ten minutes of walking, before she finally found a new spot to dig through; she then proceeded to set down her backpack, before walking a few steps and then beginning to dig up the area again. She was wondering if Thomas was having better luck than she was—she only had that ominous-looking marble to her name so far; but all the same it did count for something, right? She then began whistling as she continued to toss shovel after shovelful of dirt over her shoulder, trying to keep an eye out for something that was attention-grabbing.

nada / pass on the Water Stone / 257
Now that Andrea had arrived at the new spot, it didn’t take too long for her to dig up something—and boy, was she ready to kick it out of the ground once she saw what it was! It was a glittering Water Stone—and she knew, at least here in Kalos, that these evolutionary stones were pretty common. She then hissed to herself as she then left the Water Stone exposed to the elements as she picked up the shovel and her backpack, before heading out to look for another spot that had “good vibes” coming from it.
It took her some considerable time walking around; but after twenty minutes, she then arrived at a very desolate-looking spot; and she then looked around—it was pretty far from any watch tower; so she knew she was going to have to move within range in order to be able to get some signal again… but it looked so “perfect” for her! She then placed her backpack down to one side; before quickly getting back into the settled rhythm of digging once again—this was her last chance to actually find something good; because she knew that her first visit would be soon ending, and she had nothing to show for it! Maybe I should contact tom, ask him if he wants to go on a dig with me… for old times’ sake, she thought to herself, still sifting the dirt apart and looking for something that would be either glinting, glittering, or absolutely eye-catching at this point.

yaaaaas / claiming the Abomasite! / 332
After what felt like an eternity of digging to Andrea, she thought she saw something glinting in the dirt she was about to displace—and then abandoned the shovel; before squatting down in order to be able to extract it herself. Making sure that the working gloves were on snugly, she then began scrabbling through the dirt—never mind if she got dirty—and then finally exposed another one of those shining, sparkling marbles! “Whoa… seriously?!” she muttered to herself, brushing off the remaining grit that stuck to the marble; and then letting the sunlight sparkle off its surface. “Cool. I wonder who’d want this one… unless…” she muttered to herself; looking around and seeing that she was quite far from a watch tower; therefore getting Internet access out here was going to be a tad difficult. Snorting to herself, she then groped around her pockets until she found the small empty “medicine case” that she was temporarily using in order to be able to house the marbles that she’d been finding so far!
Now that it was clean and free of grit, she then popped the case open and then reverently dropped the new sparkling marble into its “place of honor”, beside the red-and-black colored one she’d found some time ago (but in reality, it was just last month). “Well, looks like my luck is still there after all. I just got to… take the leap of faith,” she muttered with a grin on her face as she then closed the small medicine case; before picking up the shovel and then retrieving her backpack. She knew that she could still keep looking—were the winds of change finally washing over her “luckless” streak so far? She then whistled as she then continued her walk deeper into the Badlands, intent on searching for the next big thing that would either net her a considerable sum; or just get her some quick cash on-hand! who knew what she was going to find next?
