Now that it was time for the next part of the entire contest to go, Andrea knew that there was going to be a battle. However, what was she was not expecting was that there would only be room for one ‘mon to go out in this part of the “contest”. “Well, time to reveal who I’m going to use…” she said to herself tossing a particular Pokeball up and down from her left hand; she didn’t want to use the Ponyta because people had already seen it in action during the first part of the competition! Hehehehe… time for Lexie to take the stage… she thought to herself as she climbed up the stage and saw that she was the first to get there; she could only wonder who she was going to be going up against. That and there’s an apparent time limit to this battle. Survive, or go out with a bang? She thought, quickly catching the Pokeball in her left hand and then deciding to send out her Pokémon first. She then pitched up her left hand, much like a baseball player would, before letting the Pokeball fly; releasing its occupant in a flash of red light.
She hadn’t had the time to attach Seals or anything too fancy-shmancy of the sort on it, so without further ado, the red beam transformed into a Milotic that seemingly leaped through the air before falling to the stage, a thud reverberating through the wood as it then fanned its tail before its face, before letting it slowly drop down and revealing a proud face, ready to fight whatever came across its path! “Lexie, be on your guard. We have to show them how to deal with whatever crosses our path!” she said with a grin on her face, now awaiting her opponent to make their appearance.
Used Fake Tears x 2 and then Thunder Wave 100% Outfit

Angel didn't know how she had done the previous day.. but she was happy just that they hadn't thrown her out and that she was back the next one.. a battle though. She was trying her hardest to be excited. Battles hadn't been going so well for her.. but the goal was to be pretty right?
She hoped they could do that too.
Clutching her Gothita she made her way out the stage. Ribbon was the Pokemon she had chosen to do this with.. she wanted to spend time with her. She knew that even in these moments that is what mattered the most. Spending some time with her Pokemon, feeling close to one another.
"Hey!" she waved at her opponent. "You do your best okay miss? This is fun though! Have fun okay? I'm Angel!" she said. The lady was pretty from what she could see.. and had a Pokemon that was extremely pretty too. She just bet the the judges would have a hard time picking just from the way their Pokemon looked!
Her lovely Ribbon plopped out onto the stage. It looked ready but it was also trying to look very composed.. was she aware of the type of thing they were doing? Angel Dalton hoped that was the case, she had told her but..
"That fully evolved Pokemon is so scary.. isn't it Ribbon?" she said.. she didn't sound so scared. Although she was a kid, it was harder to tell. Where was this coming from though? Ribbon nodded, big big.. Fake Tears coming out of her. She knew how effective it could be. Ribbon for her benefit was trying to cry in such a cute but charming sort of way.. and she was succeeding. Looking like a hurt little child in a movie designed to pull at your heart strings rather then a fit throwing toddler. This is were Angel's Gothita shined, and she kept on crying. It came naturally to her.. Fake Tears was one of her favorite moves. She used it all the time on her trainer.
After enough crying for two Fake Tears though, Angel would direct her next move.. "Make the scary Pokemon know how frightened you are.. how you feel you can barely move!" at this point it was very likely the Pokemon would be making it's move towards her. She hoped the Thunder Wave that was bursting out of Ribbon's antennae-like.. thing in a glowing light would freeze her in place. It seemed like a pretty good idea.. paralysis would be really helpful in keeping Ribbon around to be pretty and I mean.. a Pokemon that is paralyzed is going to find being pretty difficult right?

Seeing that her opponent had finally arrived and tossed out a Gothita—she could only wonder if she was the girl who’d bought the sister of her own Gothita. Otherwise, it began crying—well at least it looked like it was crying; and proceeded to do so; unaware that it was an actual status change. She didn’t realize she was in danger until she saw a zap of lightning coming her way—and that’s when she decided to get the ball rolling. “Lexie! Throw up your shield now; then make it stormy!” she shouted; since that was the code for her attacks; and the Milotic then proceeded to throw up a shield to protect itself from any adverse status changes; and she knew she could only buy so much time with Safeguard. The Thunder Wave attack then seemingly stopped short against the protective shield that the Milotc had thrown up before dissipating; before it then waved its tail in front of its face—much like a shy courtesan would—and then flinging it down; and that’s when the sky turned dark (at least just above the arena)… before a torrential burst of rain came pouring down on the stage as Rain Dance came into play!
Andrea knew she was going to get wet, so she’d prepared for this just in case—whipping off her jacket to reveal a racer-type swimsuit underneath her “cloak” that she had on! At least I came prepared… she thought; relishing the pounding rain that was now battering across the stage. She knew she had enough room for one more attack; before making up her mind and then deciding on which attack to use. “Alright, Lexie! Let’s let loose with a pulse!” she continued; and the Milotic complied; nodding before this time, brandishing its tail and then spinning around; before a few seconds passed—and a pulsing blast of water, powered up by the torrential rain, came pouring out of its open mouth! Oops. Oh, whatever, let’s just get this on… she thought as she watched, squinting through the heavy rain.
Used Safeguard to block incoming Thunder Wave; before letting Rain Dance come into play! After that, Milotic then fires off a powered-up Water Pulse attack, boosted thanks to Rain Dance's effect on Water-type moves!
Angel's outfit was a converted swimsuit as well, a fact that she became very happy about when the rain started. It sort of made up for that same move happening again. She never got to paralyze things or confuse things or anything! She felt a little pout twist her face as she stared at the proceedings. Still.. she felt that she was doing really good. Those tears worked at least.
Ribbon knew to dodge. It didn't like getting hit. It only move about half the way it wanted to move though before the Water based attack hit her and hard. She responded to this in a specific way.. falling to the ground.. but then using another Fake Tears attack.
"My poor Gothita.. all wet and hurt. Poor poor Ribbon." the Pokemon looked really sad.. but it was just finishing up depleting the opposing Pokemon's defense against her attacks. It took all of it's energy to hold back a mischievous giggle instead.
At this point she knew she couldn't take another hit, but also now two of her Pokemon's attacks weren't very useful. "Ribbon, send out a wave of your spirit! Wahoo!" she said, pointing dramatically. Ribbon copied this pose, pointing dramatically at the Milotic before sending out a Psychic attack. They were putting everything they had into this attack.. and it would be pretty devastating after all that crying. Crying was refreshing, wasn't it?

@angel / so it begins. / 268
Oh, not again! Andrea hissed to herself as the Gothita started crying again—she knew that this was a bad sign; but that wasn’t the beginning of her trouble; when it fired of a chunk of physically-materialized Psychic energy, however that’s when things started getting a little dicey. “Alright, never thought I would have to do this… Lexie, bring in your stage double; then shroud yourself in healing water!” she shouted, pointing through the torrential rain. The Milotic complied; quickly sacrificing a portion of its health and then seemingly disappearing; before a “body double” of itself fell into place; a sign that Substitute had come into play; before a veil of spinning water then surrounded said double; regenerating its health bit by bit—Aqua Ring had come into play!
The Substitute then bent and bowed under the might of the Psychic attack that had hit it—and it was immediately shattered; revealing a Milotic that was otherwise unharmed, but quite shaken. “Scary…” she muttered to herself, knowing that the battle should not last too long! “Alright, Lexie, time to retaliate! Encase that thing in ice!” she continued, and the Milotic took a deep breath; before quickly firing a beam of frozen energy through the rain! Since it was pouring torrentially, it would be difficult to see from which direction the Ice Beam attack would be coming from! She also knew that Aqua Ring would continuously heal up her Milotic until it was at full health again; so she was secretly lucky that her current move set had turned out to be “just right” for any kind of purpose.
First used Substitute, cutting its own health down to 75%; then uses Aqua Ring to slowly restore health. The Sub takes the damage for the Psychic attack!
Gothita as 20% left, rolled for freeze it failed? 1-100 (56)
Angel Dalton could only watch as her Gothita took on the Ice Beam. Ribbon squeaked out in pain when she took the direct hit from the icey cold energy, pushing her back a bit. She cried out in a little pain, but it was faked as well. Although she had used Fake Tears again, the effect of course had already reached it's max. It was for show.
"You can do it Ribbon! You have heart on your side! You have overcome hardships! You can do it! Send out pure beams of heart to defeat the enemies deceit!" Angel was getting into the showy aspect of the situation and was starting to create a scenario in her head. Ribbon did her best to maintain a standing position for her according, and the moment she was done taking the hit she shot out two Psychic attacks after another. One obviously was charged faster then the other, and was sent forward.. Angel could only hope that if the Milotic used another Subsititue that the second attack would push through.
Angel Dalton had to be a little worried though, her Gothita only had so much fight left in her. She couldn't let evil triumph this day!

oh dear / hopefully not endgame / 335
Andrea could not tell if the attack had hit; however she could feel all the hair on her neck stand up—was it a sign that something bad was going to happen? She could feel that something was in the air; however she could not just tell what it was—only when she saw that Lexie had fallen back and flinched out of surprise; she knew that one of the Gothita’s attacks had hit! Wondering just how bad the damage was, she then called out to Lexie, “Call in your stage double again! Try to stand tall! Whatever is on the opposite end of the arena is determined to bring our star to a crashing halt!” she called through the downpour; and try as it might in order to call up its stage double, it couldn’t! “Oh shoot,” she hissed to herself, hoping that Aqua Ring could restore more Health; she could tell that the Milotic was definitely struggling at this point.
“Get out of the way! I don’t care how long or how hard it takes, just get out of the way of the other attack, and then fire off another display of ice! Don’t give up, I know you don’t like giving in! Go and win!” she shouted; holding her hands out and forward, pointing through the torrential downpour that was now sweeping across the stage. Wondering as to why that Psychic attack hurt so much, she then squinted through the rain as the Milotic then made its move in order to avoid another attack—it could tell that the air was humming and it was dangerous; and once it had moved away some distance from her original “starting point”; concentrated and then gathered another blast of arctic energy in its mouth and then fired it off! Who knows what was going to happen; there was no way that the Milotic was going to bow down to whatever it was that it was fighting; this was its chance to show off its moves!
