rags to riches! / 1 | 4 for July / 377
Andrea had caught wind of this… “sudden fortune rush” that was sweeping the Kalos region; people finding things in a certain area north of its capital city; and of course, since she was looking for ways in order to get rich quick, decided to travel there to check out the rumors. Seeing that there was a variety of weather, she was secretly glad she had brought along a diverse choice of clothing… only to find out that the place where all the action was happening a desert area! Me and deserts don’t get along too well… stupid Resort… she thought, cringing in horror at the thought of her Unovan adventures. She knew that she would have to go forward with her plan of going to a new region altogether, since she couldn’t keep following her younger brother around forever. Seeing that there were lots of people headed towards the site, she then decided to go there herself, borrowing a shovel and heading out to the excavation site, seeing that there were other people digging through the area at this point in time.
Knowing that she would have to find a good spot quick otherwise she’d end up going home with nothing, she then joined the long line of people that were going through the mandatory inspection and check, before gaining actual access to the area. once it was her turn, she let them check her things as well as the shovel, before the guard pointed her forward, meaning that she could go through and start digging. There were a lot of spots to choose from, and she then decided to keep walking until she found an area where her instincts would tell her to start looking. She wandered around for a bit, before a certain spot drew her attention—and she then made headway to it before sinking the shovel down into the dust. At least there are no sandstorms in the area… or maybe there are, I just came too early… she thought to herself as she shook her head and removed her scarf, before tying it around her waist. Once that was done, she then began to dig through the area, carefully looking at each shovelful of dirt before sending it away to one side.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found RELIC CROWN ! A crown made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

Treasure Roll / passing on the crown / 283
Andrea was now digging through the area with a bit more of reckless abandon now; it was mostly because the sun was up so high it was starting to cook her in her choice of clothing. “Ugh, next time, do not wear a sweater vest and a thick set of clothes when you’re going out to a desert area,” she grumbled to herself, sorely wishing she could go back to the hotel in Lumiose and change out of the current clothes she was wearing—but at that moment the thought struck her, her shovel grated across something that sounded like it had hit a low note on the musical saw. “Ugh, that’s so weird,” she grumbled to herself, stabbing the shovel into the dirt and hearing the same grating noise again. “Ooh, looks like I found something…”
She then began to dig around the area with renewed vigor, only to reveal that the clanking sound she’d heard earlier was of the shovel hitting against something that looked like a crown made of rocks. “Ugh, what’s this?” she said to herself, quickly picking up the crown-like object with the shovel, before tossing it off to one side and then continuing the search. Was it normal to turn up duds before they actually hit pay dirt? She’d heard stories about people getting nothing but terrible stuff on the first few tries; yet there were others who’d struck gold and found something worth a pretty penny. It’s just the first one. Don’t panic… she thought to herself as she continued shoveling dirt away, letting the fires of determination carry her through the soreness she was starting to feel building up in her arms at that point.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found RELIC VASE ! A vase made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price. ( Post a Mod Summons to exchange this for •20 )

Nope / pass on the vase / 242
Andrea then continued the process of digging, wondering if she was going to find something that was going to be worth her time. She was very careful to scan all of the shovelfuls of dirt that she’d dug up; before tossing it into the pile and then continuing to make a deeper hole. After around fifteen minutes of continuous shoveling, she then came across a “clunk” noise. Wondering what it was, she then continued to displace all of the accumulated dirt around it, and thought she heard a shattering noise after a few more “clunk” noises… “Okay that does not sound good at all…” she said to herself as she then abandoned the shovel and began digging away at the dirt by hand. Wondering what that shattering noise was, it didn’t take too long for her to unearth a vase… or what looked like a vase that had been split into two pieces. “Geez, I didn’t know that the shovel could destroy that…” she muttered to herself darkly, slowly pulling out the pieces and then setting it off to one side, before dusting off her hands.
“Well, time to try again…” she mumbled to herself as she picked up the shovel again and continued to displace dirt in this manner; watching out for anything shining, shimmering and splendid if in case they decided to make an unexpected and unscheduled appearance before she accidentally shoved the pile of dirt off to one side…

nope / pass on the leaf star / 242
She thought she’d heard another “clunk” noise, and then decided to dig around the approximate area where the noise had come from; before finally pulling up the shovelful of dirt and then seeing… that it was a Leaf Stone! Granted, she’d forgotten which Pokémon evolve with this particular dandy, but she knew enough to know that this was not what she was looking for—and that they were pretty common nowadays. Bah. Come on, you’ve got to be kidding me… she thought, looking at the “duds” that she’d managed to dig up so far. “Hmm. What if I transfer locations… would that change things…?” she said to herself, quickly re-burying the three artifacts that she’d dug up so far and then giving the recently-disturbed earth a pat with her shoulder, before picking up her things and then shuffling off to another location where she could try digging.
After a few minutes of walking, she had found another spot that looked promising, and then decided to continue digging here; she wasn’t going to stop looking until she’d found “pay dirt” or something along those lines! She also wanted the money for herself; simply because she was already running low on funds at the time and she desperately needed to get herself outfitted in a new wardrobe or something—all of her clothes were rendered “fashion backwards” by the time she’d arrived in Kalos, which was kind of shocking for her at the time.

paydirt! / claiming Abomasite / 400
Now that she was at the new spot, she then began digging through the earth with fervor, remembering that there were only four chances allowed per individual visit here; the upshot of this was that she had three more visits allowed to her per month in order to try her luck. I hope this is it, I hope this is it… she thought to herself as she continued to dig quite enthusiastically through the dirt—before hearing a distinct “clink” noise. “Oh, really?” she muttered to herself as she then abandoned the shovel and then began shifting the earth with her hands—not minding the fact she’d forgotten to wear a decent pair of gloves before doing this—and then thought she saw the sun shining off something from the disturbed earth. “Oh hey I see something…” she said to herself as she then brushed off the dirt and brought out… a marble.
Wondering why it sparkled in such colors like this, she then decided to try and see if she was going to be able to get any reception in this part of Kalos—it was impossible for a place not to have a decent Wi-fi connection, and she hissed as she shook her mobile phone for a bit before getting one, two, three bars of signal! It wasn’t the full five; but she suspected it was because of the several watch towers that were erected around the area that needed access to some form of entertainment while keeping an eye over everyone who was trampling through the area. She then decided to snap a quick picture before uploading it to one of the sites where she was a member of; one that involved mostly Coordinators swapping news. She then continued to look at the sparkling marble in her hand before seeing that she had several replies—who knew that the “Network” was online and hopping around for gossip?
She then began scrolling through the replies—and all of them were saying variations of the same thing—that she’d found something that she could sell off and make a pretty penny from! “Yes… YES!” she shouted, raising her other hand in victory; before pocketing the marble and grabbing her things, as well as the shovel and heading out in order to find a place in order to be able to sell the shining, sparkling thing that she’d just found.
