She have never visited Kalos before, but of course, if she must visit a new region, there will always be one kind of land she looks out for.
Deserts.
It's different here, though, Stellar covered her face with her cloak. The winds are harsher, and the sands are sharper than the ones she's used too. This is not the warm kind of desert she have grown fond of; this is a harsher, sharper version and it's hostile to her. It's not the kind of desert she expected, and Stellar felt naive, for a bit, to think that every desert is the same.
She clutched her cloak tighter, before feeling something grab to the edge of her cloak. Her Armaldo huffed, holding on to his trainer's clothing to make sure she didn't get lost in these harsh winds. Of course she wouldn't, but Sy had always been the slightly more paranoid one.
Beside her, an Amaura shuffled her feet. This is her first time ever coming out with Stellar on a journey ever since she hatched, and she's afraid of the outside world as of now. The ice type squealed as the sands hit her, shuffling underneath Stellar's cloak, her fins turning into a fearful purplish shade.
Stellar bend down, patting the baby to comfort her. She had thought that being a fossil Pokemon means the Amaura is fine with sands, but she's learning that that's not the case for every single fossil Pokemon, it seems. Sy clicked his jaws, reaching out to lay a comforting claw on the ice type, but Argenta flinched away, hiding the best she could within Stellar's cloak.
"Come on," Stellar gestured to them both, bringing them behind a nice, sheltering rock. There, she took out her cloak and wrapped it around Argenta, who looked up at her with wide eyes. "Now you don't need to be so scared of the sands, yeah?" Stellar smiled, hugging the Amaura. Sy looks panicked at the fact that Stellar's vulnerables to the sands now, letting out a low screech of distress.
The trainer looked back at Sy. "It's fine, we'll not hang around here too long," a small frown graced her face, "I should have been prepared, really. I took it for granted. I'm sorry."
Sy shook his head to reassure Stellar, before a glint of something was caught from the corner of his eyes. Immediately, he turned around, ready to threaten whatever that came, only to find...
Sy looked down at the claw fossil that peeked from the sands, recognizing the claw pattern on it. That's definitely his species, alright, and if his previous trainer is here he would have shouted for joy.
He stood frozen, for a bit, a little confused about why he is hesitating. Stellar might not be a fossil maniac, but she have taken up a hobby of collecting, or at least, inspecting fossils, if only to honor that trainer's memory.
But, he doesn't want to.
Sy finds himself unable to pick the fossil up and give it to Stellar, unable to bring the heart to do so. Hes not the best Armaldo, comparing to all of the other awesome Pokemon in Stellar's team, like, like Sae, for instance. She's shiny, for Arceus sake, everyone seems special other than him.
What if....what if Stellar will replace him? Replace him if this eventual Armaldo is better than him?
Fear gripped his heart, and Sy felt like crying. Easily one of the most insecure in Stellar's team, Sy fears the day he gets abandoned, even if Stellar looks too kind for that.
Glancing back to see Stellar comforting the Amaura and not noticing him, the Armaldo quickly buries the claw fossil underneath the harsh sands. Maybe one day, another trainer that appreciates it would come. Maybe.
Sy felt bad, but he can't help it, closing his eyes and burying it faster. No regrets, he loves Stellar too much to even think about being abandoned. He'll die of heartbreak, if that happens.
As he buries the fossil back, his claw hits something else....
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found RARE BONE ! A bone that is extremely valuable for Pokémon archeology. It can be sold for a high price to shops. ( Post a Mod Summons to exchange this for •15 )
Sy barely gave it a look before burying the bone together with the Claw fossil, burying it deeper than he intended. Maybe because he really don't want any chances of Stellar finding out the Claw Fossil, and the bone just so happen to be in the way.
"There, there."
Sy look back at Stellar, who is now cuddling the Amaura in her knees, her cloak around the Pokemon. Argenta sniffled into the cloak, burying her face to Stellar, shivering in fear. Stellar patted her, "There's nothing to be afraid of. You're totally fine in this place. See?" Stellar scooped some sand and sprinkle it on the Amaura's back. Argenta jumped, startled by the sensation. "It doesn't hurt, does it?"
Sy turned back to continue burying, his claw crashing down almost revengefully. While Stellar is occupied, he'll make sure for real the claw fossil will not be found by her.
The next time his claw came crashing down, he felt a surge of power.
Sy froze in shock at the surge, eyes wide. That was weird, and for a moment, he felt like he could explode, the intense feeling of something rushing through him too fast to comprehend. Yet, it had left seriously cold chills on his body, as though as he had walked through a blizzard and they settled in his veins instead of armor.
It had felt so, so wrong.
"Sy?"
Sy jolted, looking up at Stellar. She had came to check on him, wondering what had made her Armaldo dig so furiously. Beside her, Argenta waddled almost like a Piplup, stumbling over the huge cloak on her. She perked up at the glittering stone on Sy's feet, eyes shining as she felt a sort of recognition. It's as though as she's suppose to know, but she can't remember, or it's just like something you are suppose to learn later but not getting the chance to. Quietly, the Amaura stepped forward and picked up the stone, eyes glinting as she felt the same surge of power through her veins.
She emitted a small squeal, dropping the stone as well. While similar ice types, it had felt so, so wrong too, and flustered, Stellar bend down to check on both Pokemon, who seems to have weird reactions to this stone.
"Just...what is it?"
If only he was here. He, an archaeological maniac, would find out how to deal with this in no time. Maybe she should seek out a professor some time, but for now....
Stellar reach out to scoop the stone. It's icy, but she didn't get any painful feeling, which she assume is the reason for Sy and Argenta's reaction.
Weird.
Wrapping it in the handkerchief she had, she tucked it into her bag. Maybe she'll find a professor to explain it to her one day.
No Need for the Mod Summons When claiming an item that is not in the shop in your Badlands Treasure search, (besides relic items / rare bones) you do not need to post a Mod Summons to claim the item.
Just list the Mega Stone(s) in your PC with a link to the thread you claimed it in as proof of properly grabbing the Stone.
