they were watching She hadn't been looking at where she was going, not quite, when she happened to bump into the cloaked stranger. She didn't think much of it, to be honest, even after the collision. Simply put, for the young trainer it had been nothing more than another entirely inconsequential event in the everyday life of an average person. She had been there, the stranger had been there, they crashed into each other, and then it was over and she was resuming her activities as if nothing had happened.
She didn't even stop to say sorry.
Oh, but something had happened. Something had changed. In the split second it took her to realise it was another body she had crashed into, and a human body at that, her small, delicate hands let the one pokéball she had been holding loose, and onto the hands of the faceless figure in front of her. Whatever must have passed through that stranger's head, she could only venture to guess.

[[ Throwing out one of Sylvie's templates for test, because Arceus knows Mae needs a new one...]] Wait.
What?
In the span of about ten seconds, he had gone from strolling down a pathway to suddenly being in the possession of a Pokemon he dearly needed for research.
It was rather quick, he had been lost in thought, walking slowly along the dirt path, paying attention to a book on the Poison type when suddenly the book flew out of his hand. The reason for this was that an unknown force had suddenly applied itself to his back, the equal reactive force causing the book to accelerate out of his hand, landing luckily narrowly within inches of a puddle.
"..... Phew... Huh?" A flurry of blue hair rushed past him, making it the most logical identity of the unknown force. It took him a few moments to realize that once the child had passed, he was suddenly holding a new pokeball. "Wait. Uh... and she's gone..." He brought the pokeball up to his face, identifying it's inhabitant as a napping Budew, admittedly a Pokemon he'd been searching for. It's final form's diverse range of skills woudl come in handy in a skillset he was working on, but was it right to just take it? It seemed as if it had been by total accident, but she hadn't seemed to be looking for it, as it must have been in her hands for it to have made it to his. Was it on purpose?
Regardless, he had no way of knowing, and so he picked up his book, returned it to his satchel, and continued walking...

they were watching One rather disoriented little drop of salty water trailed down Unnur's porcelain skin. It seemed to appear out of nowhere, and vanished in the exact same fashion. Soon, another tear would take its place on the child's cheek, and then another. She had lost her pokémon. Unnur stopped in her tracks as if a torrential downpour had just suddenly fallen on her. In a sense, it had. Her eyes got all funny and watery as they switched back and forth, back and forth, looking for any sign of her missing pokéball, but it was all in vain. She knew that the small Lunch, wherever she may be, was now long gone, and could only hope that a good trainer would find her and give h— What a pretty birdie! The thirteen-year-old's attention was quickly diverted from her lost bud to a tall, regal-looking swan riding the sky. She wondered if the pretty birdie would like to become friends with Warner, and before long was already following after it.
