The doors slid open. Nick would walk forward, surely Stella was at his side. The trainer would reach the stainless desk. This facility was quite impressive. He would hand over his three PokeBalls to the nurse standing across from here. Unfortunately healing was so instantaneous the young man would probably be stuck in this city for a day or so. That was fine since he did have to go to the market and stock up on supplies and also purchase something nifty to carry his PokeBalls and items in. His staff was too easy to misplace and lose unfortunately and as he stood in his tech savvy space he looked very primitive (even with it strapped to his back).
He would silently walk over to the PC and noticed his storage was empty. Who the hell is Amanita? Nick had left his other Pokemon to his ranch back in the region he came from. He wasn't surprised that they were not available, but he had no clue who Amanita was. Nick definitely needed to become tech savvy and quick, because this technology was definitely not what he was used to. The only piece he wants, a PokeDex, is already in the hands of the chosen losers. He had only heard of two PokeDex holders and they were Red & Blue. They were from his home region Kanto and had become very popular in the region. Maybe he would cross paths with one of them one day.
They made it to Accumula town, just in time too, as the sun sets and everything glittered with stars and washed by the moonlight.
Stellar was using another PC, a nurse having checked on Sae earlier and deemed her okay, just needing rest. Bryiel is back to her pokeball, so there's that. She was switching her team again, even if there are time still and she figured she could probably stay in this town for a while.
Oh, looks like Nick is done?
"How's your Pokemon?" she asked. She shut down her PC and grabbed her six pokebals off the rack, holding them in their miniature forms. Some of them looks like they have been used for a while, while one in particular stood out, looking the most rugged and old.
Well she actually handed me my other two back. After getting up from the computer as he walked past the desk, the nurse handing him the miniture orbs. She told him that they just needed to rest up and they would be fine. "Well, Ral is going to be here overnight. He was poisoned badly and the toxic had some time to take effect you know." Nick said. Perhaps walking was not the best idea the trainer had especially when his Pokemon was inflicted like that. He didn't worry much the two had worse times before and Ral was a soldier.
It was getting dark, but this city was bursting with activity. Very developed. Nick concurred as he went for the door. A late night stroll would be nice for the two perhaps they could find some lodging and also get to the PokeMart. The young trainer definitely needed a backpack or something to carry his stuff in and some items. "We should take a look around, is this your first time here?"
That made Stellar somewhat guilty. Toxic is heavy, and she knows that and that's the reason why it's something Sae knows in the first place but...since it's so peaceful now, should she consider making her moves less dangerous? There's something in her head that yells NO at that thought, though, because her paranoia remains. Nothing erases half a lifetime worth of history so easily after all.
"Yeah, I'm new to these regions," she admitted, following him. He seems to want to buy stuff, and she needs to buy stuff too. "Are you heading for the pokemart? I want to stock up on my items, and probably buy a few things as a treat for my Pokemon." Maybe some utensils. Something nice for her main Pokemon. Maybe some sugarcubes, or sweets too.
"We should look for dinner....and feed our team," she smiled, eyes sparkling. While she travel in the day, the nights are special to her too, because night times are the best times in the desert, as the stars are beautiful there, something she loves.
Look for dinner? Is she talking about hunting. The trainer nodded and eventually they would come across some glass windows filled with a variety of items. The doors were automatic, sliding smoothly across as a gust of cold air would push outward. There were carts and aisles of supplies for a trainer to buy on this journey. They had made it to the PokeMart.
Stella seemed so soft, but there was something dark about her. Nick could feel it. He had learned in the mountain to pay attention to the presence of nature and just observe the mechanics of things before tackling them full force. It is a full who rushes into the darkness, only to trip over the tiny pebble at his foot. "So Stella, what was it like where you came from?" He asked asked he looked around. He carried a small basket in which he picked up a variety of ailment cures. Next time he would be prepared at the conclusion of a battle.
Excellent, the pokemart is a good distance from the PokeCenter, but not too far. She picked up her own shopping basket, making a mental note of her own money. She should have enough for a nice dinner, and great treats for her Pokemon. It is dull to constantly eat those Pokemon food after all.
They were walking down the shelf that holds antidotes and other stuff, and Stellar was taking a few bottles of Full Heal, plus some more Potions and a few Revives, when the question came from Nick. It's a little shock that he figured out her name, when all she had given him was the first part of it, but Stellar figured that he took an educated guess. It wasn't all that hard to guess what Stell stands for, the alias she goes by, these days. The lack of an 'r' at the end of his pronunciation further solidify her theory that he full guessed her name.
What was it like where she came from, huh? The first few words that popped up in her head were dark, scary, and there were blood everywhere, constant threat almost. There are images of nice places that are wonderful, but beneath those beautiful places is a current of despair, just waiting for their execution. But she couldn't possibly say it, could she?
Stellar hesitated, just a bit, before smiling at Nick, then turning to pluck a packet of spoons from the shelf, making sure they are steel before dropping them into her basket. "Where I come from? It's not too bad of a place, really," she chuckled. That part is true, at least. It's not too bad, once you know how to deal with it. And she did learn a lot of things.
"What about you, where did you come from?" A curious question, because he has some odd mannerisms indeed.
That answer was so descriptive. So on point. So revealing. Yes she really gave Nick some food for thought. The hell? That was the most vague response in history. Has to be. He thought as he heard her light remarks. Perhaps she was a shy type. Yeah, maybe she had to warm up to the foreign trainer. Nonetheless, she had replied and posed the same question to Nickol. He rubbed his clean shaven chin, as he thought about the right way to answer her question.
"Well it's really all the same. I was in Nacrene the other day, in the library. Most region's are standard with Gyms. Route. Leagues. Yada, yada. It's all the same. Where I came from was really no different than Kanto or Unova, from my understanding."
He grabbed a couple items and threw them into his basket. He had finally reached the backpacks. Finally. Just as he picked one up, he dropped it right back down. Literally dropped. There were some cool pouches endorsed by Blue on sale. The cover was him sporting one. Damn Nick was not a fan of the trainer, but this was definitely his speed. He would pick two up - one for his waist and the other to tighten around his leg. Just in case he had an overage of supplies sometimes.
"What are you still traveling for? What's your purpose?"
It is the same, Stellar thought. Where she came from had elite fours, gyms and labs, routes. Except, her head reminded her viciously, that the region she came from the Elite Four and the League are extremely controlling people, forming one side of the war .
"I suppose that's what most of the regions are like," she added easily. Her eyes watched Nick take a few bags, huh, quite useful, she thinks.
('"What are you still travelling for? What's your purpose?"')
"I love travelling," Stellar answered cheerfully, "I'm around, I want to see stuff." That, and she never managed to live her life having fun, so this is the time. "Maybe train, here and there. Maybe challenge the gym. I never tried one." The gyms back in the region she came from is nothing but political puppets after all. That, or rebels, and why challenge them when you have no time and in need of allies?
She took a bag of Pokemon treats to her basket, checked the back of a another packet of food to see the ingredients. "What about you? You have a goal?"
Yeah, yeah call her maybe. She was so open, in regards to the path she would take her in Unova or anywhere in the world. Nick didn't know what to think of her. Nick was done shopping, he would make way to the front of the store and awaited her arrival as he began to checkout. He had heard her question, but he didn't know the right way to answer it. He didn't want to bombard her with the little I-wanna-be-a-Pokemon-Master line, nor was he on some special mission to complete the PokeDex. He just wanted to be a member in the Elite Four - attract the attention of the world and receive the fruit of his hard work. However, what was the best way to say that considering his dilemma on which type of Pokemon to master.
He looked around the store, it was bright, and filled with a variety of interesting things. You could really come in and get lost in all the things here. That's what his journey was about - right now at least - finding one path and walking it. His thought process would be interrupted by the buzz of the sale being complete. It was time for him to pay up and sheesh prices were steep in this town. "I want to join the Elite Four. I am just having a block on which path I want to take as a trainer." He said as he explored his trench coat's pocket for his currency. He would pass over the money and scoot to the side awaiting Stella to finish.
ooc - i smell an epic you should come with me on my magical journey line lol. whole new world is about to be the theme of this thread in a minute only if there was a magic carpet pokemon.
Stellar dropped a few more Pokemon treats to her basket, moving to the counter as well, lining up behind Nick. Her thoughts swirled as she figure what else she needs to do, but nothing came up. Seems like her shopping is settled, then.
"Joining the Elite Four sounds cool," she replied, taking out her wallet and shifting through her money, "A block, though? You seem like a capable trainer, so what's bothering you?" Nick finished paying, so she's up. She offered the cashier a smile and thanked him as he calculated the items. It is definitely a very respectable dream, certainly, even if her memories of Elite Fours isn't as nice as these region Elite Four probably are.
She paid her money, and too her items, stashing some into her bag right away. They head out together, but as they step out of the door, Stellar asked, "So, thought of anything to eat?"
He looked around the town as they stepped out. Why did he look? He had no clue where he was going. He was quick to dropped his bag and immediately start filling the pouches he purchased. He would take the elastic string from his pole and place the containers in his new carrying equipment. After he was done fixing everything the young man would survey the town again. But really, what was he looking for. Perhaps it was male instinct. Really, he thought some building was going to just have a flashing light and eat here sign. Unfortunately that was not the case.
"The block I suffer from is choosing a type to master." There it was. That cheesy, kiddy master line. The man would began to move through the roads. They would have to discover some place to eat. He would find the trash can and dispose of his packaging and would strap the compartments to his body. "How about here." Nick said as he pointed to a quaint little dinner he saw. It smelled nice, and had a homey look hopefully she would agree to the choice.
Stellar blinked. Now to think about it, Elite Four seems to own a lot of Pokemon that share a same type. Sure, back in her place the war had gotten to the pointwhere type mastery is not the most priority anymore, but it still stands and now she remembers about it. "Surely you have one type you prefer over another?" she asked.
Even though her team is mixed, during the late years of war it had turned to a a kind of team that can survive in sandstorms, or sandy places, in general. She had begun to unconsciously stock her team with these kind of Pokemon, or had somehow made her current Pokemon more hardy to the sands.
"Yeah, this looks okay to eat," she agreed, moving to the entrance of the restaurant. The waiter showed them inside, to a table of two, and they sat. She took a menu and read through it, easily ordering a nice plate of chicken rice and a drink. She waited for Nick to order before continuing, "What kind of type do you excel in, or more familiar, with? Maybe you can pick that one to master?"
The young trainer would order the steak and rice. By Stella's order he was quite impressed on a social level. He could take her out and pay, she wasn't going to order the king grab and lobsters. Nonetheless he would take a sip of the water at the table as he awaited his main order. On his mind as he waited was her questions. What was his type? He had to have a preference, right? Nick thought long and hard about this one. Yes he did.
"I used to raise dragons." He said. He blinked, and in that quarter of a second remembered his younger years. When he had his Bagon and Gible. Then meeting his Druddigon, and also his Dratini. Of course he raised them all to be strong, but that was his past. His friends all had higher purposes to serve, along with his others at a trainer ranch. However, he couldn't replace those guys and didn't want to. "Eh, but that's not the route I want to go. I dunno - what kind of Pokemon do you train?" He asked. Nickol recalled her Ninetales, but did she only train fire types or a variety?
ooc - i chose ground types. a lot of my favorite pokemon are ground types.
Dragons, huh? Those are difficult type to master. Stellar hadn't had the chance to fully raise a dragon up just yet, but by what people say, Dragons do seem quite difficult to master. The food was served while Nick was asking, and she used that moment to think a bit.
"Hmm, I've raised a variety, not really looking to mastering a type," she gently cute the chicken on her plate, her mind running through her team, "...but I do have a number of ground types."
Now that she think of it, that's the type she's been getting recently; either that, or the Pokemon that join her tend to get used to the sandstorms and the desert. That was all her, on that part; she loved to frequent the desert way too much. A smile spread on her face as she thought of her main Pokemon. "...My favourite is Steel Type, but more for a certain Pokemon than the type itself." Though it does help that steel type seems to be so strong, so protective, everything about her main Pokemon that she loved and grew up with.
She eat a little, before continuing, "So...if not dragons, what else? What pokemon do you have with you now?"

OOC :: Sorry for the late reply! Things have been hectic lately.
Such a savory steak. The trainer would cut into the beautifully cooked piece of meat. Stella's style of eating was quite gentle, Nick's was a little more harsh. He was quite hungry you know. He was surprised the hear she had Ground types. He expected more foxes, maybe a Delcatty, Glameow, Jigglypuff - and other cute Pokemon. It was her natural beauty that led him to believe she had raised Pokemon like that. Nick would slow down his eating as he heard her proclaim her favorite type was steel. Well, well, well. Steel-type. This girl, I better watch out. She might not be the cute, attractive woman I think she is. Nick thought as he listened.
She had given him much to think about especially as he recalled all the ground and steel types he knew off the top of his head. He definitely needed to meet with a PokeDex owner one day, he had to borrow that thing. "I am still, unsure. I plan on talking to my father about it - he knows a lot about Pokemon." Nick stated. He looked at his plate and the food was half gone. He might have to order seconds. "I didn't bring many of my Pokemon right now just my Scizor & Salamence." He assumed her recollection of his Infernape, so that's what he had on person. He watched her expression. He wanted to see her reaction to the Pokemon he told her about his Pokemon. Salamence's are hard to capture and raise, it's definitely a testament to Nick at least, of his prowess as a trainer.
