Sarah looked at the young lady curiously, she couldn’t help, but feel this lady hadn’t been a pokemon trainer for long, just for the use of her termenolgy and such, she smiled seeing the elder woman looking anxious like was sort of amusing, when the woman leaned in and whispered the answer she smiled “Ah I see, well there’s nothing to be ashamed of, a little bit surprising though” she spoke with a smile. Sarah wanted to reassure the lady, even though she found it peculiar.
Sarah watched the braviery and petill it was adorable to see them snuggle up together, Sarah had wished her pichu could be all adorable and cuddely, but she knew that wasn’t gonna happen until she got over the idea of world domination.
The teenager was quiet for a few minutes reflecting on what to do, she knew she was busy with her training and adventure, but maybe this girl could join her “hmm well by the sounds of it, you have a lot to learn, I’m no pokemon professor, but I do know a bit about them, if you like I am happy to teach you know what I know…and your welcome to join me on my journey too of course” she offered the female hoping that she wouldn’t regret it.

“Heh, I tend to get that a lot when people find out that I’m not… well, not so well-versed when it comes to the ways and means of how that all works. All I’m certain of is the fact that my Sky used to be a chubby-bunny Rufflet; but he changed…and turned into the form you see today. I have yet to work on getting Sunshine more exposure, but still…” she trailed off, indicating the two ‘mons in turn as she’d mentioned them.
“It’s not our fault, really. Just that the seedy, creepy guy who taught us about real-world things after we were done with our acting practices in theater skipped over Pokémon general knowledge,” she added, the better to explain her rather…unusual situation.
She then turned towards her companion with a hopeful look on her face. “Well, if it won’t be taking you too far away from your work, and you’re not going to be too busy, I’d appreciate the crash-course, if it’s not too much to ask,” she continued, internally crossing her fingers; because for some weird reason, the white-haired guy that Blondie had set her up with for private lessons was apparently off somewhere, doing something she didn’t know or care about in the very least. What was important to her was to learn how the world of Pokémon worked; as she’d found out it wasn’t a stroll in the park after all.

Sarah had listened as the mature woman explained, and spoke about the evolution, it sounded like she did need a lot of help, Sarah knew not everyone had that upbringing that she had, When she thought about it, the teenager was lucky, her mother studied pokemon and her father a trainer that entered tournaments for the victors prize and of course having her own growlithe and training her pokemon she learned as she went.
Sarah tried to smile as she explained about an awkward seedy guy, she smiled for Rachel It seemed like pokemon did not include the real world, she nodded her head, and looked at the pokemon, she had to admit the bravery still had her eye, she wouldn’t mind capturing a pokemon like that “It’s alright, I wouldn’t have made the offer if I wasn’t prepared to follow it through it, now I suppose I should start with the basic…do you know about some of the different types of trainers ? She asked curiously.
Sarah thought it would be best to see the knowledge she had about trainers, and then move on to pokemon. She looked down at her growlithe who had made himself quite comfortable on her lap, growlithe would always be there for her, she knew that just as she would always be there for him.

Mercifully, Sarah was more understanding about her current predicament—her mind was already flashing back to a certain blonde-haired individual who’d literally smacked a palm (or what she suspected to be a palm) against something when she’d dropped the bomb on him about not knowing what had happened to her chubby-bunny. Now that she was somewhat knowledgeable, but still in the dark for the most part, Rachel here realized that she was really going to need all the help she was going to get; regardless of source.
Pondering over her companion’s question, she then struck a thoughtful look on her face, reflecting on what she’d encountered so far. To be honest, it wasn’t too much, and after a few moments of silent reflection, opened her eyes and turned to face Sarah again.
“Well, I know that there’s your line of work; Coordinating. Another one covers Breeding, because I know one of ‘em personally. And then there’s the nutcase type like me, blundering through stuff and not knowing what they’re exactly up to. Stumbling through it, if you may call it as such. Not sure if there are more, though…” she remarked; hoping that she wasn’t too far off from the correct answer.
Well, it’s true. I know that there are some who are just itching to perform, while some, like Blondie, breed out stuff for others and just generally engage in taking care of them… she mused to herself while waiting for Sarah’s answer.

Sarah looked at Rachel, it was good that she was calmish, she had listened to the response, she knew of the types but did she know what they did “you’re not a nut case hun, you’re inexperienced and there is no shame in it, everyone starts off new at one point in their lives…if you think about it, there is no such thing as an expert, it is impossible to know everything in one field, that essentially means we are all students and always will be in this great big game known as life. Now then you are correct in the classifications, I’ll explain about the roles of the groups…so firstly there is a coordination, which is what I am. We focus on bringing out the beauty of pokemon and their attacks in battle…our style is a artwork of it’s own, but it’s not only that we don’t only make pretty little shows, we battle and think outside the box….the next is pokemon trainers, they are the people who go out and capture pokemon training them specificly for battle, they fight their way to the top to become a pokemon champion and someday a master…then there are pokemon breeders, their basicly pimps” she spoke with a smile, there was no way Sarah could think of glamorously getting pokemon to get it on in order to get eggs.
Sarah thought for a moment “also when pokemon change, it’s called an evolution, some pokemon evolve depending on different positions, whether it be through a stone, learning a technique, battle or even friendship there are many different ways to get pokemon to evolve, for example if my growlithe chose to evolve he would need to touch a fire stone” she spoke with a smile

Thankfully, her case of not knowing too much wasn’t mocked or laughed at; in fact it was met by understanding and kindness—exactly the thing she was looking for. Sighing in relief upon hearing that she was just what they called a “late bloomer” in this particular instance, she then nodded, listening rather intently as she’d figured out the answer—somewhat. Hey, at least I know the professions, but I really didn’t dive too much into how they work and stuff… she mused as she then listened; thankfully her answers weren’t too far from the mark.
After she’d gotten most if it down, she then asked Sarah, “So let me get this straight—your line of work is mostly glitz and glamour; while the Trainer class just…goes out and travels?” while chuckling at the analogy she’d made for the Breeder class—for in her mind a sudden mental image appeared of a certain Blondie, wearing those thick dark shades and sitting in a seedy-looking room somewhere engaging in who-knew-what only happened behind the scenes…
The sudden mental image caused her to burst out giggling again; but thankfully the noise didn’t stir the snoozing Braviary or the Petilil; the two looked just so content together. “So, that changing evolution thing… once it changes, there really is no turning back, huh” she remarked, looking over at the large avian. “I was afraid of that, but I have to take this with grace. At least this…evolution thing sort of worked in my favor. I now have an eagle to take me anywhere I can go at the very least,” she added with a chuckle; and she was still unable to blot out the mental image of aforementioned seedy, shady room and pimping Blondie calling the shots from somewhere.
“Seriously? That’s what Breeders do?” she remarked sometime later, after finally managing to shove the mental image out of her mind for the time being.
Post by Sarah Wentworth on Jan 30, 2015 22:35:04 GMT -5
Sarah had watched the female, burst out into the giggles, she nodded her head “that is correct, breeders sometimes are hired by other people to breed their pokemon to produce poke eggs and then sell them, or keep them.” che clarified, as she watched the snoozing pokemon, Sarah looked at her own growlithe before looking back at rachel “not all pokemon evolve though, some don’t have that capacity, there’s also a specific item that prevents evolution or so I’ve heard, but nothing that I know of can revert evolution” she spoke with a smile.
Sarah wondered if she had explained the coordination well, it was the reason why she addressed it for last, being a coordinator meant so much more than just glitz and glamour “in the terms of coordination, we travel too, a pokemon coordinator is a person who will raise pokemon to compete in pokemon contest rather than gym bttles, we want to show off the beauty of pokemon and their techniques rather than a battle…but if it’s used in a battle it can prove to be just as affective…ill give you a performance if you like?” the teenager offered. Growlithe yawned as he closed his eyes and began to nap.

The way Sarah had worded the explanation for Breeders earlier still hadn’t left her mind; she was really resisting the urge to call up Blondie at this point and ask if he was a pimp or something when she gave the more accepted explanation of how Breeders did their work. Rachel started taking down mental notes when she’d mentioned that there were some that really didn’t change form at all; and was about to ask about which ones those were when she continued to give some vitally important information!
Alright, so some never change form; others can evolve with stones, while the others just… evolve naturally? Wait a second, but I can ask about it later… she mulled to herself while digesting the offered information as best as she could.
She then nodded sagely at the reason why her companion had chosen to discuss her own field of work last; it was because she was a practitioner of it; and offering a demonstration soon after she was done speaking was a pretty good idea. “Why not? Can you show me the routine that you used in order to get your fourth title back in Unova, if it's not too much to ask?” she continued with a grin on her face—sometimes it was much better seeing the actual thing in person as opposed to viewing it from a television screen.

Sarah listened as Rachel requested the performance that earned her the fourth title of grand champion in unova “as much as I would like to do that, the pokemon I used is back home in unova, to start a fresh, most of the pokemon I have with me are freshly captured. how about I show you something I’m working on” Sarah pulled a pokeball from her side, she unleashed ralts, in a bright light the pokemon erupted from the pokeball twirling like a little ballerina as she landed.
Once her feet touched the floor she bowed graciously “Ralt’s take flight” ralts crouched and just as it looked like she was about to jump, the pokemon’s body glowed multiple colors and became outlined in blue she jumped just as she teleported, Sarah looked up to see her ralts in the air “Ralts, magical leaf” The coordinator ordered as her pokemon raised her hands above her head and a few yellow and green leaves erupted, “Dance” she instructed as ralts rotated in the sky from slow to incrediblely fast the magical leaves erupted more frequent in a twirling sensation that created a magical leaf tornado. “Psychic flight” she ordered, ralts immediantly stopped decending and flew around in the sky with the magical leaves following her, the pokemon dived towards the ground pulling up inches from the footpath as she flew past Rachel and Sarah and going up into the sky the tiny psychic pokemon brought it in to a close as she landed on the foot path beside Sarah’s table and bowed as the magical leaves floated down onto the ground around her in a circular patten.
Sarah smiled and clapped as her ralts bowed graciously “Good girl, just as we practiced, you did great hun” she spoke proud of her pokemon as ralts came jumping onto the table, pichu rolled her eyes she knew she could do better than ralts, Sarah petted her ralts and recalled her into her pokeball to rest up "See this is how a coordinator appeals, it's also how we battle, we think outside the box" she spoke smiling

Initially she was preparing herself to watch the performance that Sarah was going to perform, but upon hearing that most of her champion Pokémon had been left behind in Unova, she sighed internally. However, her ears perked up as she heard that there was another routine that she’d been working on.
“Why, yes please,” she said in an encouraging tone, and then watched as a humanoid ‘mon then made its appearance; before starting to follow an apparent sequence with certain verbal cues coming from the blue-haired performer.
The one part that really stood out to her was the fact that the small humanoid was almost ‘flying’ (but who could guess, because this one didn’t have wings—was it floating by its own power? Who could guess) as it passed right in front of them before coming to a stop in front of the two and then doing a cute little bow.
“Oh, wow,” she began, before suddenly clapping her hands together; the little practice run was visually appealing to say the least. “So… you use their moves to try and wow the crowd more than battling wild ones out there, right?” she confirmed, before subtly pointing to the borders of the city—because once they were out of the place; it was literally a no-man’s land out there. “Thinking outside the box… I like the sound of that, to be honest,” she remarked after a few moments, before suddenly remembering something!
“OH! Since you’re already here, did you know that there’s this Coordinator contest going on. I dunno if they’re still accepting applicants though. I’ve seen it advertised a few times on TV,” she added, recalling the details of the contest that she’d heard about when she’d first arrived in the region altogether.
Post by Sarah Wentworth on Feb 2, 2015 15:22:25 GMT -5
Sarah had watched as Rachel clapped, it seemed she enjoyed the show which was great. She knew ralts really wanted to perform for people “that’s correct, as I am sure you’re aware ralts is a fairy/psychic type pokemon, it doesn’t have the capacity for flight, but with the use of psychic anything is possible and yeah thinking outside the box for an example the magical leaves that’s on the ground, it would make a great diversion, all I would have to do is order ralts to use psychic to manipulate the leaves into a wall and then ask ralts to teleport behind it, practice that routine and I won’t even need to tell ralts to teleport if I used it in a battle because it’s apart of our performance and she will know it’s what I want her to do…this gives us a chance to get into a prime position.” She explained.
Sarah hadn’t heard about a pokemon contest happening locally admittingly she had been too preoccupied with her travels, “actually I had no idea there was a contest going on, I don’t think I will enter this time, I feel that I have a lot of training to do, I still have so much I want to teach my pokemon, so many strategies I need to work on and develop with ehem, perhaps you should give coordination a shot, you’ve got experience being in the spot light why not take this chance to shine” she asked curiously.

Rachel nodded sagely at the explanation of how Sarah had set up the little routine that they were practicing—it may not have looked like much to her, at least if she was a member of the audience—but as she found out, it consisted of one hell of a time trying to synchronize moves together with the Pokémon involved; who knew that Coordinating was a tough job in itself? Then again, the rewards that one can get out of it is fame and fortune… so there’s an even trade-off for that… she mused to herself as Sarah continued with the rest of the explanation of her field of work. But then again there’s that little problem of me only finding out about how to actually raise Pokémon properly quite recently; so I don’t know… she continued to ponder as the Ralts was now trying to show off its prowess again.
“Some Pokémon really are better than others when it comes to certain lines of work; that much I can figure out. I haven’t been inducted properly in their ‘world per se, but it’s never too late to start learning,” she continued, nodding along with what her companion was pointing out. “Well… most of my work is stage plays… and by that we dabble in your line of work; only thing is we do it without Pokémon on our side. But apparently some hotshot new director on the scene is attempting to change that, try to make it so that we have at least one companion in our scenes; all that complicated jazz. I don’t even know how they’d react to seeing Sky in action while on-stage. He’s quite…skittish,” she ended, struggling to find a word that perfectly described her Braviary’s rather peculiar…precociousness.
Post by Sarah Wentworth on Feb 6, 2015 17:22:34 GMT -5
Sarah looked at the female; she stretched a little afterwards, hearing the girl speak, “you learn to raise pokemon by experience and research. When I was given my very first poke egg as a child, I read a book about taking care of poke eggs and when it hatched I got growlithe, so I bought a book about growlithe and learned about taking care of it, sure none of the books mentioned anything about the fact they were stubborn and had obsessions with chili, but he is still alive…point is research and trial and error helps.” she spoke with a grin
Sarah had listened to the theory of the female, that some pokemon were better than others in certain line in work, she was dubious of that statement, but decided to say nothing until she could think a little more about it. Sarah had instead focused as Rachel explained about stage work and that they dabbled in her line of work, the teenager smiled seeing the bravery apparently he was skittish “it’s always good to try new things, to experiment…doing the same things over and over can get really tiresome. Trying new things are good too” she spoke. Sarah had recalled her pokemon into their pokeballs, growlithe had already dozed off so it was probably all for the best. She moved one leg over the other, as she looked at Rachel.
The teenager wondered what sort of future Rachel had ahead of her “So what are your plans for today?” the blue haired teenager asked.

To Sarah’s quip, she then nodded sagely at her words—because she was just literally learning things one day at a time. “To be honest, I only got this guy and ‘Shine over there as presents from my troupe mates after…certain events had happened. They only gave me the barebones explanation of things too—like how Flying can trump Grass, and Grass can trump Water; but that’s about what they said,” she began with a sheepish tone in her voice.
“After that, I just decided to take care of them like any other pet… they’re rather spoiled,” she continued, noticing that Sarah had recalled the two; she decided to do the same as well; and watched as the snoozing, slumbering forms of her Braviary and Petilil shrunk back down after getting sucked up by the red beam.
After getting the question of what she was doing today, she then stopped to muse for a few seconds, before finally answering, “Well, today, I was just going out for a walk—at least until I caught sight of you, and I confirmed my initial niggling suspicions. It’s really nice to see someone from Unova all the way over here,” she remarked, before gesturing around the entire city.
“You, what do you have planned for today? I hope I’m not intruding too much on your practice time,” she added hastily, raising her hands up, hoping that she really wasn’t being too much of a bother to the younger girl!
Post by Sarah Wentworth on Feb 8, 2015 4:11:15 GMT -5
Sarah listened as the girl spoke about pokemon as if they were presents, and she didn’t seem to think of pokemon as individuals, she bit her bottom lip she didn’t know what to say in that regard, she leaned back on the chair thinking quietly.
She learned Rachel was just walking, “you’re not intruding, like I said I was just working on my album, but no muse for it at the moment, Rachel a good way to think about pokemon would be friends, not pets….pokemon are our partners, they fight hard to for us, to protect us…we should be ready to do the same…as for the elements, think of it on a logic way, water beats, earth, earth beats electricity and electricity beats birds and water conducts electricity so that means lightning beats water.” She spoke with a smile.
The teenager folded one leg over the other “Before I forget, I want to give you something, but you cannot show or give it out to anyone else” she spoke, pulling out a pen and paper she handed rachel her phone number “if you ever need advice, or someone to talk to call me or shoot a text” she spoke with a smile.
