Many years later, when the boy has grown into a young man, his parents arrange a wedding for him. On the night of his wedding, his wife waits for him in their bedroom, with the traditional veil covering her face. Raising it, the man is delighted to find that his wife is one of the great beauties of his village. However, she wears an adornment on her eyebrow. He asks her why she wears it and she responds that when she was a young girl, a boy threw a rock at her that struck her, leaving a scar on her eyebrow. She self-consciously wears the adornment to cover it up.
Heartbreak is usually associated with losing a family member or spouse, though losing a parent, sibling, child, pet, lover or close friend can all "break one's heart," and it is frequently experienced during grief and bereavement. The phrase refers to the physical pain one may feel in the chest as a result of the loss, although it also by extension includes the emotional trauma of loss even where it is not experienced as somatic pain. Although "heartbreak" ordinarily does not imply any physical defect in the heart, there is a condition known as "Takotsubo cardiomyopathy" (broken heart syndrome), where a traumatising incident triggers the brain to distribute chemicals that weaken heart tissue.
Research has shown that a broken heart hurts in the same way as pangs of intense physical pain. A 2011 study demonstrated that the same regions of the brain that become active in response to painful sensory experiences are activated during intense experiences of social rejection, or social loss generally. "These results give new meaning to the idea that social rejection 'hurts'," said University of Michigan social psychologist Ethan Kross, lead author of the article. The Michigan research implicates the secondary somatosensory cortex and the dorsal posterior insula. Macdonald and Leary had earlier (2005) proposed the evolution of common mechanisms for both physical and emotional pain responses, and noted that multiple languages and cultures use terms like "hurt," "heartbreak," "hurt heart" or "ripped out my heart" to describe responses to social exclusion and argue that such expressions are "more than just a metaphor."
The neurological process involved in the perception of heartache is not known, but is thought to involve the anterior cingulate cortex of the brain, which during stress may overstimulate the vagus nerve causing pain, nausea or muscle tightness in the chest. Eisenberger and Lieberman showed that rejection is associated with activation of the dorsal anterior cingulate cortex and right-ventral pre-frontal cortex, areas established as be involved in processing of pain (including pain experienced in others through empathy). The same researchers mention effect of social stressors on the heart, and personality on perception of pain.
Researchers have found that the amount of stress is related inversely to the amount of breakup distress. This is because greater distress is felt in a shorter amount of time since the breakup. This is closely related to the perception of pain by how an individual can choose to feel greater distress after a breakup or look at the break up in a positive way, which decreases their distress, but does not usually happen. Studies show that the most helpful way to get over a broken heart is time and a new partner. Most people look for a desirable new partner to help regulate their daily activities and mood. This is also related to the perception of pain by how the individual is unable to handle their pain so they want someone else to make them feel better, which is correlated to an individual’s mind.

It didn't take long for the cave they were in to begin to become... Interesting. The troupe of freaks led by their ancient mistress soon found themselves trapped in a cave in of sorts. Large rocks and parts of the ceiling crashed to the floor, missing Beatrice Gertrude and her pokemon by a few feet. In fact, a large rock that had some odd structures embedded into it was only stopped from squashing the old hag by her Baltoy, who stopped the fossil with its psychic powers. The Baltoy hurled the fossil into the side of the cave, shattering into hundreds of pieces. "Very good, dear. Turtwig, set up your shell." Beatrice Gertrude said, praising her Baltoy and giving her Trutwig a new order. The grass pokemon grunted in response and a shield formed around the group, oddly shaped like his shell. The rocks bounced of the wide guard until the cave in settled down, but once the dust was gone, Beatrice Gertrude and her team found themselves face to face with an angry Onix.
"Oh dear." She said, taking a step back and allowing the Turtwig to take front and center. Doing as best as her old lungs could do, she exclaimed, "Drain the monstrous beast!" The Turtwig let loose a volley of seeds from his shell that embedded themselves into the Onix. While it trashed about, Turtwig's small twig began to glow, and a beam of green energy shot forth from it and hit the Onix, slowly draining it of energy. The large pokemon fell to the ground, defeated, and Beatrice Gertrude tossed a pokeball at it.[attr="id","facethree"][newclass="#facethree::-webkit-scrollbar"]height:0px;width:2px;[/newclass][newclass="#facethree::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb"]background:#A9A8A6;[/newclass][newclass="#facethree::-webkit-scrollbar-button"]height:10px;[/newclass]

[attr="id","inside"]The world has changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost. For none now live who remember it. It began with the forging of the great rings. Three were given to the elves, immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. Seven to the Dwarf Lords, great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of men, who above all else desired power. For within these rings was bound the strength and will to govern each race.
But they were all of them deceived for another ring was made. In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, the dark Lord Sauron forged in secretl a master ring, to control all others and into this ring, he poured his cruelty, his malice, and his will to dominate all life. One ring to rule them all.
[attr="id","aisle"]One by one the free lands of Middle-earth fell to the power of the ring. But there were some who resisted. A last alliance of men and elves marched against the armies of Mordor and on the slopes of Mount Doom, they fought for the freedom of Middle-earth. Victory was near but the power of the ring could not be undone. It was in this moment when all hope had faded that Isildur, son of the King, took up his father's sword... Sauron, the ennemy of the free peoples of Middle-earth was defeated.
The ring The ring passed to Isildur, who had this one chance to destroy Evil forever. But the hearts of men are easily corrupted. And the ring of power has a will of its own. It betrayed Isildur to his death. And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend, legend became myth and for two and a half thousand years, the ring passed out of all knowledge until, when chance came, it ensnared a new bearer. The ring came to the creature Gollum who took it deep into the tunnels of the misty mountains and there it consumed him. The ring brought to Gollum unnatural long life. For five hundred years, it poisoned his mind. And in the gloom of Gollum's cave, it waited.
Darkness crept back into the forests of the world. Rumour grew of a shadow in the East, whispers of a nameless fear and the ring of power perceived its time had now come. It abandoned Gollum. But something happened then the ring did not intend. It was picked up by the most unlikely creature imaginable: a Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins of the Shire. For the times will soon come when Hobbits will shape the fortunes of all...
Tl;dr I sacrificed myself for the person I love. Cause of death was a bullet to the heart. It was in a post-apocalyptic world. A message had been sent massively with instructions on "how to survive the massacre," and we did it because we were curious about the entire thing. It turns out those instructions triggered a sort of Battle Royale game, except we weren't killing each other physically, but rather deciding who was dying next.
