The staff has been and will be continuing to update the PokeDex 101 and Guidebook. All updates shall be posted in this thread, so make sure to keep an eye on it for future reference.
Pokemon Evolution Update
January 5th - Effective Immediately Located in the PokeDex101 -- Evolution -- Evolution Stipulations
✤ All Pokemon prior to evolving must have been used in a battle either with a Wild Pokemon or against an Opponent. Post must be of quaility, meaning the Pokemon must demonstrate appropriate skill level for Evolution.
✤ When evolving please post a link to the thread in the Mod Summons as well as to remove the Evolution Serum.
Rare Pokemon Breeding Update
January 5th - Effective Immediately Located in the Guidebook -- Breeder's Guide
And Rare Ban List.
✤ Beginning Breeders who have less than 10 successful breedings can purchase a Breeders Rare Permit or (BRP) from the Pokemart for 20•. This is a one time use that will allow them to breed Rare Pokemon. If the breeding fails you can use the Romantic Mush for another roll.
✤ Seasoned Breeders in order to use Rare Pokemon need to seek out one of the Pokemon League Members for paperwork. In order to obtain a Permanent Rare License or (PRL) Breeder's will need to RP out a thread where the meeting and documentation will be filled out. The Pokemon League Member will make the purchase and give the License to the Breeder.

Hidden Abilities Update
January 31st - Effective Immediately Located in the PokeDex101 -- Breeding -- Egg Moves & Hidden Abilities
✤ Hidden Abilities can only be found on Swarm Pokemon, but are and can be bred into the eggs. Providing that their swarm Pokemon match.
Kalos Pokemon Update
January 31st - Effective Immediately Located in the Catching Terrains -- Kalos
Common Pokemon from Kalos have been added to the Catching Terrains! Along with the new Pokemon, we have added a new terrain to Kalos called "Artic" and Grasslands have been split into 2 different zones to accommodate the number of Pokemon in the Kalos region.
Safari Zone Update
January 31st - Effective Immediately Located in the Safari Zone
To make it easier to get the Pokemon you're searching for, the Safari Zone has now been split into 5 separate Zones.
Zone 1 - Forest
Zone 2 - Mountain
Zone 3 - Artic / Ocean
Zone 4 - Grassland / Watering Hole
Zone 5 - Urban / Cave
Mega Evolution Update
January 31st - Effective Immediately Located in the PokeDex101 -- Pokemon Info (P.I.) -- Mega Stones
Mega Stones
Mega Stones are responsibles for Kalos Pokemon experiencing another Evolution called Mega Evolutions. Mega Stones can only be found in Kalos Badlands by searching or digging for them but can be returned to the Mart for a profit if you do not want them. The knowledge of how to use these stones though is kept under wraps so it'll be discovered by either trial and error or found out by speaking to one of the Kalos canon or NPC characters.
Key Stones
Are the trainer stones needed to allow Mega Stones to work. Without them your Pokemon can do nothing. Key Stones, because of how rare they are to encounter, cannot be bought from the Pokemart. They too can only be found through random encounter by searching in the Kalos Badlands. The Key Stones however cannot be sold back to the mart. They can only be given or sold through trade on the board. You only need one Key Stone to activate any Mega Stone.
Using Mega & Key Stones
Mega Evolutions take up one of your three attack/defense moves when battling. They can only be used on one Pokemon once per thread. You can't activate another Pokemon until the first reverts back to normal. Meaning that you're stuck with the Mega Evolved Pokemon until the thread ends.

Battling Update
March 29th - Effective Immediately Located in the PokeDex101 -- Battle Guide -- Move Sets per Turn
✹ ✹ Most battles will be limited to a select number moves. All moves per turn can not be offensive in nature, while offensive moves may be strategically used in a defensive or manuevering manner. Attacks, defensive or status related moves such as stat boosting techniquies, moves that inflict status ailments, damage causing moves used to block, dodges, etc.
Single Battles will go by three moves
Double Battles will go by four moves
Triple Battles will go by six moves
The battles from this point on increased by two moves per Pokemon.
✹ Moves such as Hyper Beam will take up three of the available moves in a turn - one to attack, and two to recharge, regardless of whether it hits or misses. Moves such as Solar Beam and Razor Wind will likewise require three moves, although the two charging moves leading up to the attack may be spread out over multiple posts.
✹ Moves like Dig and Fly will make the Pokemon difficult to hit and have no limit to how long a Pokemon may be considered "evasive", no other moves may be used during that time, and they will still have up to three moves total - two spent preparing the attack, and the third and final to attack.
✹ Finally, moving around the field in general is a free action, dodging attacks is not and will take up one move out of a post for every attack evaded.

Guidebook Update
January 4th - Effective Immediately EPOCH's entire Guidebook has been revamped and upgraded with current information and a new layout. Make sure to read any and all sections involving the classes that effect your characters.
Information regarding PokeDexes is still a work in progress and a post will be made in this thread once we have solid information regarding how they will be handled. For now, act as if they do not exist.
PokeDex 101 Update
January 4th - Effective Immediately The Breeding Guide that used to be listed in the Guidebook has now been moved permanently to the PokeDex 101 and has also been updated to meet current standards.

PokeDex 101 Update
January 9th - Effective Immediately The entirety of the PokeDex 101 has been updated and features the most current rulings and regulations for all of the site mechanics. Make sure to read and review it and post in the Suggestions board if there are any issues with the new set up.
Guidebook Update
January 11th - Effective Immediately Due to a recent increase of population, and since Aura Users are intended to be rare, a limitation has been placed to prevent an over population of these abilities. As it stands, EPOCH will only allow 5 Aura Users at a time, and there are currently 3 Approved Aura Users on site. Any Aura User that is inactive runs the risk of losing their abilities so more active members may have a shot at having them.
Evolution Update
January 11th - Effective Immediately Based upon the suggestions posted by Erin Caulfield recently, the staff have decided to provide a few more methods in which members can evolve their Pokemon. If you are interested in seeing the new options, please read the thread located here.

PokeDex 101 Update
January 26th - Effective Immediately The Pokedex 101 has been updated regarding Swarms. The passage on Swarms now says the following.
Catch of the Week also known as Swarms do not count towards the twelve monthly catches. Safari catches Do. You may only interact with a Swarm if you are attempting a capture, and Swarms now have a maximum catch limit of three per character.

Guidebook Update
January 26th - Effective Immediately
The Guidebook has been updated regarding Psychics and Aura Users. The passage on them now says the following.
Characters with Psychic abilities are capped with a limit of 2 per person. This means you can have either 1 Aura user and 1 Psychic or you can have 2 Psychic characters. Aura users are capped on a board level only allowing 5 of them on EPOCH at one time.

Gym Leader Activity Expectations Update
January 28th - Effective Immediately Located in the Guidebook -- Gym Leader Guide -- Job Description
Gym Leaders are expected to be active as well, or risk having their gyms shut down and title lost. Any Gym Leader that stops logging in or does not post for a two week period will receive a PM warning them that if they do not post or log in, they run the risk of losing their title. After approximately four weeks, accounts that have not been logged in at all will be deleted as any other inactive account is, and any Gym Leaders that have not posted within the previous four weeks will lose their title and will have to increase their activity before it can be given back.

Team Guide Update
January 29th - Effective Immediately Located in the Guidebook -- Team Guide -- Joining Teams
If an Active Team Boss wishes, they also have the right to deny any character apps for their Team they do not approve of if they feel the character does not fit within their team.
Team Leaders, in case of inactivity or disappearance should have a Co-Leader who can approve of Applications in their absence.

Team Guide Update
January 31st - Effective Immediately Located in the Guidebook -- Team Guide -- Team NPCs
In order for any Active Team to recruit NPCs, they must create a Mission specifically for this purpose, or create a story of their own that explains how and why a NPC chose to join their ranks. Inactive Teams will be handled in the same manner, but cannot rely on NPCs to make up their entire team. Inactive Teams should focus on gaining actual member made characters then NPC's.
NPCs may be specialists of sorts ranging from hacking, to battling, to infiltration, and more. Each team needs to make a list of NPCs for their team that includes a link to where that NPC was recruited and have said list approved by a Staff member before they can use these NPCs. However, NPCs used to for simple things such as breeding transactions or just catching and training Pokemon will not need approval.
