ASSIGNMENT 1 Directly after the second visit from Mr. Nikter Professor Shelena Io received a 500 dots to the Nacre Lab account. This was followed by a letter of inquiry for her to research the underwater ruins just a few fathoms from the lab. A venture she'd been dying to undertake ever since the sub broke. Still it would be some time before the Submarine was operational again leaving her to improvise for the time being.
With a new assistant and a fairly descent chunk of change Shelena Io was simply waiting on a few online orders to arrive before setting out to explore the ruins. What exactly she's looking for or is supposed to find is unknown, only that her financial backer wished to know as much as possible. If she needed any extra labor they would provide but she was in no mood to look like a leech.
The trip to the marina to get the Tempesta was a bit of an adventure in itself what with loading up the few light oxygen tanks and scuba gear. Nothing too intense, she'd been to the ruins before there wasn't much to see but it was hard to say what else could be uncovered this time around. With Hero left in charge and the phone set onto message the Saturday was shaping up to be a grand one. Rain was in charge of setting up the laptop and survey equipment, and making sure the little Mark-1 had fresh batteries, pretty much all the expensive miniature recording equipment they would need for this excavation. "The Coastal ruins are said to be connected to the Abyssal ones." she called back over her shoulder. The sound of the engine nearly drowning out her words as she drove them up the Unovan coast. "Apparently they are the path that leads down to the tomb of an ancient King. I'm not sure what we're expecting to find today but I doubt we'll see much. The waves have seen to that."

✖PROF. IO 373 WORDS NOTES Sorry for the short post, and the wait. I can add more if needed | Her first excursion as the assistant of Professor Shelena Io, it wouldn’t be hard to say that Rain was excited. The dangers were distant from her mind as she made her way around the boat. The task of setting up equipment was nothing difficult and Rain was merely moving through the motions. She’d been through this process several times, by a lecture and her own notes. The laptop had to have a certain number of programs running already, they’d need the cameras ready to go, batteries charged, it was just a basic check of all these little things so the Professor could focus on the big plans ahead. Rain was content to the silence that had fallen between them as she was simply focused on making sure everything was ready.
Hearing the voice of Io over the engine, she briefly stopped what she was doing to look over at the woman driving the boat. “The Coastal Ruins are said to be connected to the Abyssal ones.” Merely nodding along despite the fact Io couldn’t see her, Rain looked back down to the cameras, flicking one on and briefly tinkering with the settings. “Apparently they are the path that leads down to the tomb of an ancient king” Io had gone on and Rain froze slightly as several dozen movies played back through her mind. Tombs? Traps. Traps? Doom. She demonstrated a brief panicked look, before shaking her head and taking a deep breath. She had to stay calm and keep herself together, this was important.
“So, is there anything we should keep an eye out for, Professor? Like, certain Pokemon, maybe ancient traps, or...?” she questioned, getting up from her seat to finally peer out the windows at the world around them. A stunning view of water that went on forever was to one side, and nothing but coastline were to the other. The coast there was clearly untouched by man for a moment, before the sight of oddly flat giant stone slabs began to make themselves apparent. More little signs popped up here and there, and Rain could tell the boat was slowing down as the roar of the engine began to gradually soften. Her heart hammered in her chest with anxiety.

ASSIGNMENT 1 "So, is there anything we should keep an eye out for, Professor? Like, certain Pokemon, maybe ancient traps, or...?”
"Everything." she answered slowing the engine down as they coasted into the cove. Io turning the wheel to the left allowing them to drift to a stop while pointing North east, ready to turn around once they were finished. "Words, pictures, writings, carvings, graffiti," she listed off as she killed the engine and dropped the anchor. The professor stepping back from the helm and walking past Rain throwing a glance at the set up she did. "Well done." she complimented and stood on the deck dipping a foot into the cool pale blue water before shielding her eyes with her hand and looking around the area. Tall rocks jutted out of the water with straggling trees clinging to any surface and stretching up towards the sky nearly matching the height of the coastal cliffs themselves. The rocks, salt strewn and sun bleached, showed off their deep weathered wrinkles as Io turned back around heading back into the shade of the ship once more.
Leaning over the laptop, she hit a few short cuts to bring up several photos of the area and other pieces that had been found long before either of them were born and now in museums. "As far as Pokemon go the most wary we should deal with is Shellder, Wingulls, Frillish, Lovedisc, ....." she rattled off, her voice trailing the end leaving it open because even she was uncertain of what they would all encounter. It was hard to say, it was such a diverse area, the coastline was. No matter, she had a team fit for the situation and so did Rain, they should be fine. "Might as well start in the water and then work our way to the shore. There was a storm a few nights ago in the area perhaps it stirred something up below. " she mentioned while tugging the long shorts off baring her legs and stepping out of them.
The high cut swimsuit was a simple one piece and looked to be something you'd find in a sports race. However, this one was devoid of color for the most part, going for a somber blue-ish black. The bright bold yellow striping up the sides were wide and neon in coloring as she clipped her poke belt around her hips and set down two small rectangular looking it almost look like bar code scanners but more stream line and thinner. "You can take one with you just in case something happens, they're repel darts. There's ten shots loaded but they'll only work on smaller unevolved pokemon. You encounter anything bigger you best unload at least three of them into it or run. But I doubt we'll be needing them." Io finished placing the dart shot on her belt and looked over at Rain. "The water's not that deep so simple snorkle gear should be fine." The white hooded jacket she wore made an excellent swim cover, the back of it emblazoned with NACRE LABS across the middle of the shoulders in blue as she Io pulled up a map of the area. "Any artifacts you may find, pieces and fragments, be gentle with them, make note of exactly where you found them and be sure to tell me. I don't know what we're looking for. You just need to keep your eyes peeled. "
Io then picked up the camera flipping it open and stepped back out onto the deck filming the coast line and making adjustments to the focus as Rain got ready.
