•THANK YOU FOR JOINING US•
Thank you all very much for joining us in this festive event and please do prepare for the upcoming Christmas Festival of Ice & lights.
With her heart in her throat, she had convinced herself to attend.
Hemlock found herself slipping inside quietly, simply having to give the doorman her name and a confirmation of ID to prove she was, indeed, Miss Hemlock Walters, registered coordinator and a guest to this dinner. Her left hand came up and touched the hair that ran a bit behind her ear, helping to hide some of her face as she walked by someone that looked rich and important. The blackened lily in her hair moves ever so slightly as she swiveled her head, trying to find someone she knew. Or, well, somewhere to hide, actually.
Sure, it was important to be here, but... uhm, well, there was a lot of people, and a lot of people brought guests. The invite had two spare invitations... Well, Hemlock's went unused, more or less. She moved her hands to in front of her, a finger touching one of the lock buckles on her dress. It was actually just for show, as she didn't actually need the corset addition - she had a rather trim figure already, mostly fueled by a lack of hunger from a terrible sleeping pattern. She sure was healthy.
As she gulped, she felt the collar of the dress against her skin. While she originally thought this part of the dress was nice, now she found it constricting, and she was worried about getting lecherous looks about it. BDSM was a thing for some people...
She fidgeted her knees as she tried to work around a portly couple. Her sheen black tights were, perhaps, too tight for her comfort, and showed a bit too much of her legs, now that she was in the public eye. Her flats were, perhaps, the only truly simple part to an otherwise complicated girl in complicated attire with complicated reasons for attending.
Hemlock Walters tried to edge herself into a corner, hoping that this would end itself soon.
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane. I'd walk right up to heaven to bring you home again...
Sugoi! It was time! Yes, it was actually time to attend a ball for the first time in years! So you know what that means? Dancing! Food! Boys! And new people who could become ultimate future rivals! It was just so all frustrating yet exciting! Wandering up to the podium while escorting someone by their ear within her right hand was none other than the gorgeous, bubbly, and kind young woman Serenity. Yes, she came sporting quite an exquisite blue dress wearing her hair toward the left side of her body over her front shoulder. Her hair was quite curly upon the ends and held a streak of blue within it. She wore a pair of diamond crystal earrings on both of her ears and a diamond necklace attached to a black chord string. Wearing her usual glass slippers she felt almost as though she was Cinderella.
Entering as she would pull out from her small handbag her Coordinator ID and invitation while presenting her date who he himself didn't seem as though he wanted to be here. They were both allowed inside to conduct their duties of having a blast of fun and entertainment. Holding her arm around her date, whose name was to be concealed for now, she would hum along to the music that played and the people they saw looking around amazed at so many Coordinators that were here. It was quite a beautiful scenario.
Looking in the corner though she saw someone familiar, someone familiar indeed...Hemlock! Yes! Her new found friend Hemlock was here?! Oh joyful days to see another fresh face that she knew. Releasing her date she would run while wearing her glass slippers toward Hemlock giving her a hug and shouting out joy, "I am so glad you're here Hemmy-chan!" Hugging her once more Serenity did so, "So did you come with anyone?" Questioned Serenity.
This was to say the least a pain in his ass, this girl had lied to him! He was here in Hoenn seeking information against those who had wronged him, yet he found himself dressed in a black tuxedo, all because Serenity wanted to go to some dance?! The man had attempted to protest against the woman’s request, as a result she had grabbed him by the ear, and with very surprising strength she dragged him along until the two made it to the door where she wrapped her arm around his right arm, clinging to him. He knew it looked as if the two were together but in truth she was practically using this pose to pull him along with her the male sighed internally as he walked along with the girl. His well-groomed appearance, the male was getting some lingering eyes from other girls on him but he could care less he had other things to do like get an update from Azul about the location of rockets bases, or maybe some updates one the new recruits. Yet in the end he was here in this ridiculous dance with this girl, she had told him to meet him here for something important the man believed she had some important information instead he was forced into a tuxedo, and forced into this ridiculous ballroom! Suddenly the girl released him from her grip, taking this opportunity to stop walking the male looked around he was downright paranoid his eyes taking in the details of the surrounding area, he was trying to figure out where the nearest exits were, and he needed to also figure out a way to slip out, ditch Serenity.
It was here that he noticed just the kind of mess he was in this place was filled with so many happy people, he was out of place the revenge filled male stared at all the faces in his mind trying to see if he recognized any Rockets in disguise, such a place was bound to be filled with idiotic coordinators maybe the Rockets would try to sneak in spies, plan an attack. Lucky for him he had snuck in his Pokemon with him, all four of them were strapped to his waist ready in case he needed to jump into action, a couple walked by smiling at the red head in response he gave them a scowl before looking away. With another sigh he walked over towards the woman known as Serenity she seemed to be happily greeting some random girl, as her ‘date’ it was his task after all to go over, and introduce himself as well. Once the male arrived at the little chat chat, he adjusted his collar hating every inch of this ridiculous attire he did not give the girl a smile he merely stared at her in silence immediately regretting his decision to come here, he was not in the mood to chat. Instead the man took the nearest available chair letting his rear rest his weight upon the cushioned surface of the chair resting his elbow on the table the man let his chin rest on his palm, those stunning crimson’s giving off a very dull look as he looked form face to face still questioning why he was here.
Henry had wondered many many times if coming to the Coordinator Dinner was a good idea. After all, he was fairly new to the world of coordinators. He would sometimes goes and practice by himself in an open, quiet area. Though, he felt like he would get out classed by other coordinators. Obviously, he would. There were a lot of experienced ones out there. But he needed to at least try, if he failed he would learn from his mistakes and improve on them, hopefully anyway. Henry wore a dark blue tux with a bow tie around his neck. He gulped as he entered the building. He made sure his Coordinator ID was within close reach. The building was busy and full of life. People were chatting about, holding their wine glasses and soft music was playing as well. Henry didn't really like large gatherings like this, but he almost forced himself to come. After all, he would have to get used to it if he wanted to compete in contests.
After getting himself some punch he sat down at an empty table and watched everyone walk by. He felt out of the loop, he didn't know anyone here. Though, he didn't really meet that many people either. Even though he had been away from home for a few years, he hadn't met many people he would consider friends. Even though he felt a bit left out, Henry did enjoy being around the people. He felt himself relax a bit as he watched the people chat among themselves. He sipped on his drink slowly and continued to watch the people. He noticed a lot of females were in the building, clearly out numbering the males inside. It didn't bother Henry much though. And no, he was not enjoying being surrounded by females. He was just the type of person who enjoyed everyone's company. He finally decided to get up and go for the main meal that was being served, trying to manage his way through the crowd.

@Wish Bone Dinner
Ah, the Wishbone Ball, an event he’d been to many times before. Whether it was with arranged dates, friends, or just his family, it was almost an annual thing for him to go to. This time, though Kanoa had brought his own coordinator. A very reluctant, pouty, fit-throwing coordinator he’d lost track of shortly after coming inside. Scanning the room, he drummed his fingers against the side of the cup of punch he’d brought with him as he looked around for this girl. It really shouldn’t surprise him how hard it would be to find a rather short brunette running around, but it still annoyed him that he’d lost track of her.
Had she run off to avoid the event altogether? She was so adamant on not coming to the region, or this dinner, he wouldn’t be surprised if she had used the crowd to her advantage to hide away. Scanning the crowd with a set of bored silver eyes, Kanoa Hasan was less than pleased with this development. This was supposed to be an awesome night after days of quarrels and arguments, and if he didn’t get her to at least danced once out there, he was sure she’d never want to come to this kind of event, again. Moving along, his Houndoom walking at his side, Kanoa took a deep breath and set the cup down on a random table. He paid no mind to the man sitting there as he simply continued his game of I Spy Something Brown.
“She’s here somewhere…” he mumbled and looked down at the Houndoom. Scorch merely eyed the dazzling crowd, before Kanoa gave the order to go track down the missing ‘princess’. With a flick of his tail, the Houndoom began to slowly jog off, sniffing around and looking for the young woman. Kanoa on the other hand took to drop into a chair at the table, watching the crowd quietly. His gaze briefly turned to the other person at the table, before he looked back out at the crowd. Done up in an expensive custom tailored suit, he was finely dressed for this formal occasion, and he’d be damned if he wasted such a night on sitting around when he had planned for so much more.

Guest of Ronnie Rillito, anyone is free to be Kanoa's "table mate" while the hell hound tracks down Ronnie
Hemlock had just maneuvered herself around another pillar, letting out a sad sigh for herself. She pulled her eyes about and scanned for somewhere else to escape to when... no. Was that...? Hemlock craned her neck a bit, feeling the collar against it as she identified who she was quite sure was Mister Kanoa Hasan, sitting by himself at a table. Hemlock paused for a moment, considering on whether or not she should approach. Certainly, if he was here, then that meant that Miss Ronnie was here too...
Hemlock figured that sitting with Kanoa, regardless of what happened, would be better than awkwardly roaming around this place. However, before she got a real chance to go anywhere, she was suddenly alerted to what sounded like glass on the ground before a pair of energetic arms engulfed her. Hemlock stood in shock for just a moment before identifying who it was by the sudden squeal in the voice as the one belonging to Serenity, the very happy and well-meaning coordinator she had met before. "O-oh, hello Miss Serenity." Hemlock gave a small smile, but a genuine one, as she brought her attention to bear to a person that could be considered a friend. Hemlock needed all the friends she could land.
She nodded her head once more at Serenity, the blackened lily in her hair moving ever so slightly. Hemlock found a bit of pink in her own cheeks, both from how intimidatingly pretty Serenity was and from the question posed to her. "Um... w-well, I, uh..." She didn't want to say she didn't come with anyone, especially when Serenity herself came with some dashing redhead! "I... didn't really come with a d-d-date...?" Hemlock almost flinched in anticipation of Serenity's reaction.
"B-but, um... I-I mean, I do have friends here...?" Hemlock shot a finger over to where Kanoa's table was. "I..um, c-can introduce you...?" And with that, Hemlock started with a tentative step to the side and then slowly made her way to the table.
She very carefully placed finger tips on the edge of the chair, which was two over from Kanoa - leaving a free chair between them - and gently cleared her throat. "U-um... i-is this seat t-taken?"
She looked around the ornate ballroom suspiciously moving along the far wall behind the pillars like young woman sneaking into experience her first adult party. Every time someone passed by to block Kanoa's view of her from sight she moved scoping out the crowd. 'God he was a looker in that suit. No, focus Ronnie focus.' That little voice in her head barked while biting it's own fist and looking back over at him. This was getting to be too much, she was tempted to flag down security and see if she could get a copy of the guest list. There had to be something that would reassure her that there wouldn't be any particular party crashers joining the soiree.
Her champagne white heels delicately clicked on the marble flooring as she moved in another spinning sweep towards the windows. It was her own fault really, this entire mess and Pokeball of panic she was in.
Worried brown eyes checked out one of the large windows while keeping herself hidden by the huge curtain. Her french manicured hand touched the glass lightly as she watched the parking lot before swallowing hard. She didn't see anybody she could readily recognize thankfully. The thought of her parents showing up to take her back home, or worse the police showing up to do it. That's all she needed was to be escorted out in cuffs.
The thought of her little lies being uncovered doused her in a waking nightmare causing her to shudder. Despite her scream fits and arguments that she didn't want to go she still managed to wake up in Hoenn and Lilycove. Her sunglasses, hat and over-sized jacket she wore upon stepping off the boat when they arrived gave her another perspective of her past life. Especially upon passing by the same spot she would stand and give out the Inn's flyers that gave her a feeling of dread. She couldn't help it, she was sick to the point her stomach was in knots and no amount of perfume or extra dry antiperspirant was going to save her if she caught sight of her parents.
Her honey glossed lips tucked in between her teeth rubbing together before she felt a sniffing up the back of her leg causing her to squeal and whip her hand back to hide her butt as she turned and found Scorch staring up at her flatly, clearly not impressed with his assignment to track her down. "Hi." she greeted to him as she shifted and he took a stance by dropping to his rear in front of her refusing to leave until she did.
"I take it I'm in serious trouble huh?" she said to him rolling her tongue in her cheek and giving one last look out the window. Well, she suppose she shouldn't let the dress go to waste. Taking a deep breath she moved from the window with Scorch getting up and following by her side and as if she'd had gone to the powder room came back in the main entrance. Her shoulders were pulled back and head up looking at everyone as they danced and mingled. It was a Cinderella moment, as she glanced around before taking hold of the edge of her dress and touched the top of Scorches head. "Lead the way Captain." she teased as she looked around for her manager wondering if he was still over at the table.
Navigating around a particularly large crowd she weaseled past them and soon was standing a few feet from his table noticing that he had a guest. Well, at least he wasn't alone and found someone to- Oh hey it was Lovely Lockes. Her head turned and looked back out at the dance floor wondering if she could fill her dance card up to give them some time when Scorch nudged her forward with a smack of his tail across the back of her legs.
Upon approaching the table she looked off to the side pink cheeks knowing he was probably going to lay into her for disappearing. But she decided to cut it off by grabbing both sides of her dress lifting them out and bowing forward with a bit of an old fashioned curtsey to them that she'd seen in a movie. "Greetings dark Prince, and thine Lady Lovely Locke. Tis I the chamber maid." she said straightening back up before doing a spin and leaning forward with her hands on the table over towards both of them with a grin. "We clean up pretty good huh?"
"It was always best to be fashionably late, rather than fashionable early." A famous actress once said that, and it was one of Chelsea's favorite quotes. The saying very much applied to her right now, as she set foot into the ball room around an hour late. As soon as she walked in, she felt the eyes of many other coordinators and their fellow guests on her, and it was no surprise, really. Her sleek black hair was neatly placed on the top of her head as an elegant bun, with little pearls decorating her head. She wore make-up that was fitting of her complexion, with light pink blush, eyeshadow, and lipgloss. The favorite part of her appearance for the night though was her dress, a beautiful lavender decorated with pink flower embroidery with purple flowers decorating the very full and poofy skirt. She looked very fit for the occassion, if she did say so herself.
Her purple eyes scanned the room, looking for Rain and Ryusuke, but she could not see them. She wouldn't be surprise if Rain was a little late- after all, on nights like these, a woman's appearance was of most importance, and she wouldn't be surprised if her cousin was a bit nervous about the event. As for Ryusuke, though, he was probably just being lazy. If he forgot or ditched, he's going to be in a world of pain! I swear it! Chelsea thought to herself, determined. It would ruin her whole plan, after all. Her brilliant, marvelous, plan. It was probably the best match-making plan in the history of match-making.
Ah-ha! Chelsea spotted her younger brother, Kanoa, talking with whom she would guess was Miss Ronnie Rillito, his client. Oh, he looks so handsome~ I'll have to take a picture of the two of them when they're not looking. I just want to pinch Kanoa's wittle cheeks! It reminded Chelsea of a simpler time, when they were all little and pose for family portraits. Those were the good ole' days.
Chelsea steathily (well, as steathily as she could in high heels) snuck up behind Kanoa, and poked his cheek. "Kanoa!" Chelsea exclaimed, smiling. "You look so handsome! I'm actually a little surprised with your fashion sense this evening." She kind-of joked, and giggled.

@Wish Bone Dinner
Waiting for the Houndoom and Ronnie to make their appearance, Kanoa’s gaze simply rested on the crowds. Though he was used to having to browse the floor and speak to everyone and anyone, this was the first time in a long while he could just sit back and watch the world. The beautiful ball gowns, the sleek suits, the dazzling atmosphere, it looked straight out of some movie and he couldn’t help but feel amused at this fact. The music, the chatter, it was calm and soothing for him. For a moment, he wondered how much time was left and allowed his gaze to drift to the watch on his wrist.
“U-um… i-is this seat t-taken?” a voice called out to him.
Kanoa looked up to allow his eyes to rest on the beautiful Hemlock Walters. He blinked a few times, almost not recognizing her in her formal attire, before his mind quickly clicked the pieces together. “Oh, no, go right ahead” he answered with a smile, before briefly glancing at the other person that had been at the table first. When the other started to get up and leave, Kanoa almost felt bad, but there were plenty of tables here. He looked back over at Hemlock, and the young woman that was following her. With a grin, he happily went on “It’s very nice to see you, again, Hemlock. If I may say, you look very beautiful in that dress.” He glanced over at Serenity, waiting for her to be introduced, the young man ready to get up and out of his chair to properly greet her.
That is until his Houndoom successfully returned with a certain somebody right beside him. Kanoa’s smile turned into a brief deadpan upon spotting the ever adorable Ronelle Rillito, but before he could say a word, she was already speaking. Arceus damn it, did she have to introduce herself like that? What if Hemlock’s friend was someone important? Briefly taking a moment to rub the bridge of his nose in an attempt to keep himself from scolding the young woman, Kanoa easily calmed down. He tilted his head to gaze up at her, reaching over to just gently push a bit of her hair from her face after her twirl. “Yes, and try to stay that way” he lightly scolded, before retracting his hand and beginning to get up from his seat.
As he would get up, a delicate finger would suddenly jab into his cheek, making the young man jolt upright, and then whip around. What his gaze rested on was someone he almost didn’t anticipate being there. Granted, in hindsight it would make perfect sense for her of all people to be at this thing. She was a coordinator just as much as she was a model, after all. He blinked a few times, before taking a moment to adjust his tie with what one might consider a pout. “I always dress this well for these events, what are you talking about?” he grumbled, briefly glancing towards Ronnie as if to silent cue her to not say a word. With a quick inhale, Kanoa looked back to his sister and cleared his throat. “And you dress as lovely as always, Chelsea” he informed, standing up straight, head held high like the proud young man he was.
He gestured to Ronnie, briefly motioning for her to come closer. “I don’t think you two have met, but Chelsea, this is my coordinator, Ronnelle Rillito. Ronnie, this is my sister, Chelsea Hasan” he introduced as he should. His gaze drifted over to Hemlock and he figured he should probably introduce her as well. Chelsea might be interested in the young woman’s peculiar style. “And this is a friend of our’s by the name of Hemlock Walters” he tacked on with a smile at her. He looked back at Chelsea, before looking up to scan the crowds for any male that might have come with his sister. “Did you bring a date?” he asked, turning away briefly to push in his chair. Scorch the Houndoom peered around Kanoa to look up at Chelsea, tail flicking side to side happily as he approached her. It had been a long time since he’d seen the older Hasan, the last time actually being from when Scorch was still just a Houndour. The Pokémon was much larger and stronger now, clearly.

Guest of Ronnie Rillito, Hello... ladies. There is indeed enough of Kanoa to go around.
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane. I'd walk right up to heaven to bring you home again...
It was so cute! Hemlock was still the same Hemlock, but even so she did not come with a date. Perhaps Serenity could have been her date. They could have been "girlfriends" obviously. Either way, Bunji went to go sit elsewhere but there was a certain someone Hemlock wanted to introduce to Serenity. Strolling along beside Hemlock she would do so leaving Bunji for at least a good minute or so.
Making there way to the table Hemlock would introduce Serenity as she would gracefully curtsy to the man giving a lovely bow with a dining smile, "Pleasure to meet you, I'm Serenity Hunt." Introducing herself she would do so the next, but a woman would soon interrupt their conversation as she seemed to have known this man quite well. Looking back at Bunji she would wave telling him to come over and stop being such a loner, she was worried about him and as to why he is different from the last time they met. Was he in a bad mood of some sort?

Guest of Chelsea Hasan Welp, this post is kind of meh, but look Rain arrived! Her Dress
Today was a day that brought back very many memories for Lorraine Hasan. After spending the last couple of months practically living under the sea in the laboratory of Professor Shelena Io, she had practically forgotten what her old life had been like. She’d forgotten about the various formal occasions, the parties and many social obligations that came with being famous. While she herself was never a very successful coordinator during her time, it was her name alone that had managed to get her some notable attention back in Unova. She even found herself crossing a few old fans as she wandered along the edge of the crowd.
“You’re Lorraine Hasan, right?!”
“I haven’t seen you at any of the contests lately! Where’d you go? What happened?!”
At first, Rain was hesitant to even admit the fact she had quit this life style to the ever eager eyes. Some took the news surprisingly well, ever curious about her new life as a professor. Others were disappointed by the revelation, claiming she had so much potential, but Rain couldn’t see it anymore. The image of her standing in the spot light once more, singing to the masses as her team put on a dazzling performance was hard to imagine for her. Maybe others could see it, but Rain’s focus was elsewhere now.
As she would occasionally stop to speak to the occasional person that approached, in the end she found herself hovering off to the side and simply watching the crowd. She was content to not be any kind of center of attention, even if she had gone out of her way to dress for the night. It’d been a long time since she dressed up for anything, and tonight Lorraine had decided to indulge a bit into her old hobbies. Her hair had been carefully pulled back into an elegant and delicate bun, metallic blue decorative hair pieces swirling through the black locks to help hold her hair in place. Her bangs were left to frame her face, make up used to cover flaws and maintain a natural look of beauty. Earrings with black feathers and blue jewels, a set of necklaces with a combination of black and blue beads, and other pieces of jewelry found themselves matching the selected color scheme perfectly, all being finished off by a black and blue ball gown.
All dolled up for a night of fun, Lorraine quietly regretted having not taken the time to ask Chelsea where to meet up with her prior to entering the loud and busy place. She had come all this way to spend the night hanging out with a cousin she hadn’t seen in a very long time, after all. Rain’s silver eyes drifted down to the black clutch she’d brought in with her, pursing her lips in contemplation. She could always call her, but it would be hard to hear a phone ringing in this place. Briefly Rain popped the bag open to inspect what she’d brought with her, before sighing and clicking it shut… Perhaps it was a bad idea to indulge on this old life style of her’s, but part of her had missed it, honestly.
Moving along the crowd, she scanned the tables off to the side, not seeing any empty ones, or ones that didn’t have a crowd by it to claim. Or, no… Was that table empty? She couldn’t see from her spot, with the crowds, but a table in the distance seemed to be abandoned. Moving through the crowds and making her way to the table, too caught up in her thoughts, Rain was already moving to pull out a chair and sit herself down before she looked up to make sure the table was empty. Much to her luck… It wasn’t. Now a few seats away, a young bored looking man with red hair and red eyes clearly had been sitting there for a while. Rain, already settled down in her seat, could only stare at him for a moment, her cheeks becoming slightly flustered by her own accidental jump of the gun. “U-Um… S-Sorry” she muttered, glancing around, before looking back to Bunji. “This… Seat wasn’t taken, right?” she inquired, ready to get back up should the table have been reserved.
The man sat alone in complete silence, his eyes following his ‘date’ being Serenity Hunt the girl had dragged him here to be her date but was quick to ditch him to go socialize, all the same he could care less he was not here to mingle with these people he was in fact still trying to figure how he got wrapped up in this mess. The male would focus his eyes on nothing in particular now, his crimsons having been taken away from the girl only to focus upon the floor his mind was flipping through a series of thoughts, such as his current goals the progress of said goals was also tormenting his mind the man was so taken by his thoughts that he failed to take notice of the timid female that approached the table. That is of course until he heard the resulting sound of the chairs legs being dragged across the ground, his crimson eyes shot up glancing at the girl for a moment her face did not seem familiar at all in fact no one here was familiar to him except for Serenity herself, and she was nowhere near him. Bunji observed the girl with his cold eyes watching as she stood there with such a shy expression on her face, he could see the red coloring her cheeks the male would look away giving her no mind he did not know her so he did not care. Then as he was focusing on the many nameless faces of the crowd of coordinators, and their respective guests his eyes would be forced to focus upon the girl once more but this time because she was talking to him. Her words were stuttered but she got her question out, eventually with that the male would reach up with his right hand combing away some bangs of his red hair from his eyes allowing him to clear his field of vision.
”Not at all” he responded to the girl looking away, his elbow resting on the table once again with his chin rested right on his palm he was trying his best not to, but he could not help but profile this girl he was bored after all. Using the techniques his sister Scarlet had taught him he would observe the girls mannerisms taking into note every action, she made as subtle as they may be he tried to take note of them. As far as he could tell she was the shy type that was obvious, but where did it stem from? Insecurity? His eyes wandered the area around the girl no male seemed to be nearby so she had no date? Scanning the crowd he would see if any of the other males here would look over at the girl, yet that seemed to not be happening either, the male would let out an internal sigh. Perhaps it was what few fragments of his former self remained inside of the abyss that had taken hold of his heart, but what he was about to do would hopefully kick up the girls’ self-esteem just a bit or make him look weird, either way he aimed to walk away from this table to get some fresh air at the nearby balcony. Rising from his seat Bunji approached the girl, looking at her he would work up a very subtle smile on his masculine features ”Though I do not know your name, I can tell you this from what I have seen. You are like a timid lotus not yet bloomed, yet I can see true beauty within you let it blossom, do not hide it behind shy curtains let all bear witness to the beauty I have had the privilege of seeing” he said to the girl before handing her an actual lotus that was tucked into his tuxedos front pocket.
If she took it from his hand so be it, if she did not he would gently set it down in front of her on the table ”Smile for you are the beautiful lotus” he said in a gentle tone, giving the girl a slight bow the male with the crimson eyes would leave the nameless girl at the table he himself remaining anonymous as he soon sunk into the crowd of many only to emerge on the other side near the balcony. Bunji stepped out taking in a deep breath of much needed fresh air, he hoped deep down his words had made sense to the girl, it was better then what most idiots would say to her here something he assumes along the lines of ‘You look pretty’, the man shook his head at such compliments. A lotus like her deserved true expression, not half assed compliments ripped off from cheap romance movies, with subtle steps the man walked to the railings of the balcony enjoying the fact that it was almost empty once he reached the railing he stood there upright his crimson eyes gazing at the welcoming view he was treated with.
She didn't miss the way his eyes met her's in that brief moment of disdain, clearly unimpressed with her sudden disappearing act and it seemed she only further aggravated the moment by opening her mouth. The way he pinched the bridge of his nose a dead give away that she once again said something she shouldn't have. Sighing heavily to herself she started to drop her head when his fingers touched her face tucking a piece of hair back from sticking to her cheek. “Yes, and try to stay that way” He didn't have to tell her twice after that one. If there wasn't anyone important around she was certain she'd be getting an earful of how she needed to work on her class and self presentation.
Turning her head she looked back out at the dance floor already formulating a plan for the night. At least one that would keep her out of trouble. “I always dress this well for these events, what are you talking about?” She heard him grumble, but didn't bother turning around. Her face till scanning the ballroom eyeing up the potentials and could be's face looking back to say tell him where he was going only to see him giving her the look to keep her mouth shut. Her eyes turned to the lilac damsel in the bouffant ball gown causing Ronnie to look down at her own Champagne dress. The soft silk and sheer glittering overlay was gathered at the bottom in a ruffled hem. The large living pink Peony pinned and clipped to the front of her dress with it's few ornate touches of material gathered aorund her bust made her feel like a small princess in a Queen's world. Delicately her white painted fingers reached up touching her velvet ribbon choker before looking back over at the others around the table. The only one that seemed to be on her level was Hemlock but Hemlock had that style was that uniquely her own. Ronnie realized that her dress wasn't nearly as ornately done as most of them were. She was so small the dress would've engulfed her if she wore something like that.
“And you dress as lovely as always, Chelsea” Ah, so he knew her, probably an old girlfriend or school mate. or a friend of the fam - “I don’t think you two have met, but Chelsea, this is my coordinator, Ronnelle Rillito. Ronnie, this is my sister, Chelsea Hasan” Ronnie's lips puckered into a lemon lipped kiss as her brows rose up. His SISTER? She looked back at the prom queen in question and swallowed offering up a nervous smile as she backed off the table and did a small dip. "Nice to meet you." she muttered now realizing that apparently the look of royalty ran in the family. She felt inadequate now surrounded by the "beautiful people". It was so much different than being on stage. Her eyes moved to Hemlock and nodded the same in greeting then glanced over at Hemlocks blue gowned friend doing the same. Right, okay, now that that was done she could let harem boy live out his dream.
Ronnie turned and smiled at one of the tuxedo'd blonds that speckled the area and darted her eyes towards the dance floor with a small head tilt. Silently asking if he'd want to go with her. He had to have been at least three, maybe four years older than she was as he placed the delicate glass onto the waiters passing tray and moved over towards her. She turned her head back over her shoulder and gave the group a soft million dot smile as she held her arm out. "Enjoy your evening." she said and with flirtatious tone as the orchestra picking up was the cue for her to be moved out onto the dance floor.
The first turn as her left hand settled on his arm and the other held the corner of her dress she glanced back at the table and winked. This was good actually. She'd just keep herself busy out there swapping partners around until the music stopped and she'd have to go back. It'd keep her out of Kanoa's way, plus she couldn't be nervous around such pretty faces and if he ever needed to introduce her he could just point as she moved around the dance floor. She'd been in sight at all times and since they were dancing she didn't have to have an extensive conversation. Perfect plan for a perfect evening. Now to just keep the Dance card filled.

We're pushing through the warped wind Outstripping the cold sky Nevertheless, we still continue to wander
So, quick reminder - how the hell had he allowed himself to get pulled into this again?
Even as he approached the building near the Lilycove waterfront, Ryusuke couldn't help but ask that question to himself over and over again. He had never really liked Coordinators to begin with - frankly put, something just rubbed him the wrong way about people and Pokemon being judged almost solely on appearance and flash. Maybe it had to do with the crap he'd gotten back in school after the accident and receiving his new arm and leg or maybe it was one of a dozen other little things, but his past experiences with the demographic had always been far from positive - had it been anyone else that had approached him Ryusuke would've said "no", without hesitation or remorse. And that, right there, was the answer to his question - his friends, more or less, and through them their family. That and his own rotten luck.
When he'd first run into Chelsea Hasan back in Lavender Town, he'd known neither her name or relation to Lorraine - and he'd been perfectly fine with that. Anonymity made shit so much simpler, and when said shit had hit the fan, he had simply tried to step to the side of the fan. Granted, it hadn't worked, but in the end everything turned out for the better - Chelsea and the other Coordinators that had been nabbed had gotten out of the mess none the worse for wear, along with Ryusuke himself and the half dozen or so other trainers who'd gotten pulled into it. Case closed, end of story - or at least it would've been in an ideal world. Of course he'd run into her two regions away through a sheer act of chance, fueled by one of his rare arguments with Grovyle no less, and given recent events and her own introduction revealing that both A.) She knew who he was, and B.) She was related to Lorraine, and things suddenly got a whole lot messier. Not like there was much he could do about it now - he'd agreed to go to the event and was already there.
On the bright side, at least he'd hopefully blend in. It hadn't been his intention when he'd swapped out his old, travel worn clothes to save them from total degradation, but the new ones he'd picked up just before Lavender Town were of high enough quality that they wouldn't draw attention at something this formal. A quick wash later to take the dirt off of them and coat left back at the hotel room to stave off the heat of Hoenn's tropics, and he looked little different from the other party goers present outside of the building - the only thing to really set him apart were the white gloves he typically wore to hide the silvery, attention grabbing glint of his right hand, and all things considered those were the lesser of two evils and unlikely to really draw anyone's eyes to him unless they were really looking closely. Even Grovyle had cleaned up for this thing - while he'd refused to remain behind the Pokemon had at least acknowledged that he couldn't get away with his usual bullshit at an event like this, at least not given the reason they were there, and had made a noticeably uncharacteristic effort to remove the dirt and filth that had been accumulated across the last region and a half from his scales, the reptile's skin giving off an almost emerald sheen from the building's exterior lighting as he followed Ryusuke towards the entrance.
Stopping only briefly to check in through the front reception area and feeling less than comfortable with the bright, overly classy surroundings despite the fact that his name was indeed on the guest list and that he was supposed to be there, Ryusuke could almost feel his shoulders beginning to tense as he and Grovyle started to move through the building towards where the "party" was supposedly being held. Under normal circumstances he wouldn't have minded the place so much, but they'd clearly gone out of their way to decorate the building - normally it didn't look too different from your standard tournament center, just a fair bit cleaner. The usual front reception desk he'd just passed where Coordinators typically presented their regional passes and signed up for their contests, and then the back area where he was now heading towards was typically a stage-like area used for the actual events. As he stepped through the door, though, it seemed that was no longer the case - having been turned into a large ballroom, there was little left for Ryusuke to recognize from the one or two times he'd been in the building as a kid.
Taking in a deep breath meant to calm himself more than anything else, Ryusuke started to make his way across the room, attempting to avoid the dance floor to the best of his ability - given how the place was set up it wasn't entirely possible, but he was still able to stick to the edges of the area where there were far more people watching and mingling than actually dancing. First thing was first - find the person who'd invited him there to begin with, and then try and angle towards just sitting near the sidelines for the rest of the night. He had no idea why she even wanted him there to begin with, but hopefully it was for nothing more than appearance's sake given the crowd.
